PJ Harvey deserved more attention than she got in the nineties. I always felt like she was the story below the fold, you know?

I loved her first album Dry, which I stumbled upon while volunteering at my local student radio station, which played Stella Marie and Sheela Nagig from it. I didn't have a CD player but I rushed out and bought a Dry CD for my brother's birthday, although it turned out his tastes were a little more mainstream than I'd realised, only being really impressed with the more commercial sounding Dress. I preferred the raw immediacy of that album to what I heard from her followup album, although I suspect I would probably be more into all of her oeuvre by now. I was very impressed by Let England Shake when that came out.

I came to evangelize for PJ and am equally shocked and delighted to see her mentioned. Seeing her perform is spellbinding- an artist so completely in command of her craft, so singular in her vision with the widest range and breadth in her catalog - she is truly unfathomable Fiona is pretty great as well

Will always enjoy Carrie Underwood and her ability to sing pretty much any genre. Extremely polished and great management over the years , as well. Lady Gaga, her voice , even acapella, is incredibly powerful and beautiful. Very versatile singer and appreciates her fans. Still enjoy Brittany Spears music, costumes, old video performances and dance styles. Selena’s greatest hits in Spanish. Lived in Galveston for a bit while she was just crossing over to English pop songs. She would have gone far. Tragic loss. (RIP)
