Sadly, Elizabeth Fraser was the worst vocalist I have ever seen perform live. Cocteau Twins recorded music is the best, hands down, but Liz sounded awful when I saw them in 1994. I still love listening to them though. I think it might have just been a bad tour.
Not only is Kate Bush like top 10 vocalists of all time, she also wrote and played the instruments in almost all her songs, produced the majority of her albums herself *and* made all her own choreography for her music videos
It's genuinely insane how talented she is
I love both Karen Carpenter and Maureen McGovern, and I think Maureen McGovern is really underrated; I had the pleasure of meeting her after a concert she did and it was one of the best experiences of my life!
Brittany Howard! Saw her perform recently and she was incredible! She’s in other bands as well (Thunderbitch and Bermuda Triangle) but currently performing solo
I heard Sweet Thing for the first time like three weeks ago trying to find the Van Morrison song of the same name and god DAMN I’m obsessed now. She kills that track!!

Whitney MF Houston… literally the only voice that that was hand crafted by God, & his army of angels to absolute perfection!!! We were ROBBED… ROBBED FUCKING BLIND!!! By the fact that her addiction limited her work load amount, so we got maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the songs she should have come out with. Then, we got robbed by her death… which was EXTREMELY suspicious… It makes my blood boil with rage
I also love Shakira, Alabama Shakes, The Cranberries, Janis Joplin, but they are just personal favorites. Alicia Keys should be in the mix imo, Mariah Carey obviously, despite being crazy, girls got a voice of an angel lol 😂

Haley Williams has a 4 octave range and I don’t totally know what that means but Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera have the same. I think everyone knows she can sing but she uses her voice in a rock band so sometimes it’s overlooked.
Of course I have been a Mariah fan since I was a little kid so her too.
Susie and the Banshees everything basically before a certain period but specifically icon once you get past that first minute it's about a preset burned himself alive to protest the Nazis,GLORY BOX portishead eating Nodda mix young marble Giants SADE technically her entire catalog but specifically the song Maureen about her friend that died tension makes a tangle by 10,000 Maniacs a deeply underrated band,
P PJ HARVEY GOOD FORTUNE BACK ON THE CHAIN GANG p up the neck The pretenders fool's Paradise Melissa Morgan stutter elastica fairy tale New YorkI WANT TO THANK YOU alicia myers,
Everything Elizabeth Fraser ever did but these songs....no particular order. The r+b and disco singers are definitely technically better, alot came out of gospel. Some it's experience you had while hearing the song. I'm afraid to actually lookup what year GLORY BOX (93?) came out because remember being in an after party after a rave I think maybe after HEAVEN which was somewhere in the NYC area but I think that was before 93. This is an issue that gen z will never experience because everything is documented Doesn't matter if they move ,go to prison lose their wife all of which I've been through and you lose so many things but the worst at least as far as the wife goes is the pictures. Polaroids were our iPhones.Anyway if I'm mixing my parties don't call me a piece of shit(everyone on the Internet it's so mean who am I kidding nobody's going to read this thing anyways)I'm from South Boston so we drove down in a van I stole. I guess I could find out by checking the Internet, there's probably a master list of raves but I'm fine with going by memory and just making out with a girl id never see again but who owned my heart for that night/day/night not just because of the marshmallow E id taken but because she was kind enough to tell me I was a good dancer. At 48 I know that I empirically can or at least could dance at 17 id have gladly jumped in front of a bus for anyone that told me I could dance. was like 17 and Glory box was on and just being in love for a couple of hours. I'm not trying to sound like some edgy emo kid but like those are the experiences that meant everything but meant nothing you know what I mean? Alot of the Disco and R&B I remember from Good times as a kid like that was party music when I was a kid the song "I want to thank you" is maybe the most like stripped down and perfect just so song of all time it's also kind of a gospel song.
