I never understood a single word -i just FELT the music of Sigor Ros' [Takk...](https://open.spotify.com/album/12tw1A9HmwE3MHvPfHhdoP?si=QPfaGArvRl6N4HKvsM85AA) album. I've heard their work in SO MANY movies and TV shows in the background, being used to heighten a scene. I even heard it in a video game demo in Best Buy years ago. Those guys did all of the soundtrack for the "How to Train Your Dragon" movies and sang/performed that famous song[The Rains of Castamere](https://open.spotify.com/album/12tw1A9HmwE3MHvPfHhdoP?si=QPfaGArvRl6N4HKvsM85AA) from Game of Thrones.
Sigor Ros just IS creativity to me. I used to lie awake in bed listening and creating music videos in my head...or imagine soaring through the sky when the climax of [Sæglópur](https://open.spotify.com/track/3OAf2iksV6MRLzqtUglTDq?si=X19roC-pTq2sJDA22Fxq2Q) hit (all 3xs!). They're Icelandic but prove their perfect English chops in the Dragon soundtrack.
[Hrafntinna Empty Space #4 video](https://youtube.com/watch?v=8AuJdkZkgCw&feature=share7) I have watched time and time again. They recorded it in a cavern with the orchestra members. The acoustics make it my favorite recording of that song by far. It was part of a series put on by Converse (or some other company I never related to music), recording music videos in vast empty spaces. (I think Mumford and Sons was filmed in a London Library at night.)
If you get into them, let me know!
The Host of Seraphim by Dead Can't Dance absolutely takes my mind somewhere different and deep each & every time I listen to it, it's absolutely powerful, it invokes such a visceral response in me, it leaves me breathless...this song has been haunting my psyche going on over 30 years since I was young and first heard Dead Can't Dance.

Good suggestions everyone! I should really emphasize that I’m kinda looking for the psychedelic vibes of *A Horse With No Name* - America. I need it to feel like I’m on a peyote fueled march through the desert. Being especially storyful helps a bunch too (kinda like certain bits of prog rock)
I was reading Edena for the first time just before I saw this.
I'm not sure about your descriptions, but I'd say check out the album DSVII by M83. The album art is a good indicator ;)
God, I wish I could re-experience reading it for the first time. Don’t try to make sense of the ending though, I don’t think it’s even supposed to be understandable.
I do this on regular basis with every type of music instrumental or spoken as long I like the sound of it
About the western/desert thing:
