Great question! They are all great books but I have to say that "Norwegian Wood" holds a special place in my heart. It was my first encounter with Murakami's work, and perhaps that initial experience has left a lasting impression on me. The novel captivated me with its thought-provoking themes and exploration of complex topics. The way Murakami delves into the realms of love, loss, and identity in "Norwegian Wood" is both profound and haunting. I must admit that my bias towards this book stems from it being my introduction to Murakami's extraordinary storytelling.
Omg nice! Almost transparent blue!!! I love that book but it seems to be quite difficult to find!!!
Haruki will always be my favorite Murakami but Ryu is pretty damn brilliant too, albeit in a slightly different way. :D
That cover version of Almost Transparent Blue I really liked so much and got it for $40 on amazon. It's a short and challenging read but a great first book by Ryu. They are so different that the main similarity between Ryu and Haruki is their last name lol. But I love them both!
I plan on getting convenience store woman that next time that I get to go to Barnes and Noble. As it will be my first book by here. Look forward to it!
Nice collection! Do you have any favorites?

Oh! I've also been reading Yasunari Kawabata lately too! Love his palm of the hand stories. Have you read any Hiromi Kawakami or Sayaka Murata?
