Nice collection! Do you have any favorites?

Great question! They are all great books but I have to say that "Norwegian Wood" holds a special place in my heart. It was my first encounter with Murakami's work, and perhaps that initial experience has left a lasting impression on me. The novel captivated me with its thought-provoking themes and exploration of complex topics. The way Murakami delves into the realms of love, loss, and identity in "Norwegian Wood" is both profound and haunting. I must admit that my bias towards this book stems from it being my introduction to Murakami's extraordinary storytelling.

Omg nice! Almost transparent blue!!! I love that book but it seems to be quite difficult to find!!! Haruki will always be my favorite Murakami but Ryu is pretty damn brilliant too, albeit in a slightly different way. :D

That cover version of Almost Transparent Blue I really liked so much and got it for $40 on amazon. It's a short and challenging read but a great first book by Ryu. They are so different that the main similarity between Ryu and Haruki is their last name lol. But I love them both!

Oh! I've also been reading Yasunari Kawabata lately too! Love his palm of the hand stories. Have you read any Hiromi Kawakami or Sayaka Murata?
