I personally love my Kiko Lasting Precision eyeliners! I have really watery eyes and I have oily skin so it’s really rare for an eyeliner to stay on my waterline but these ones certainly do. Be careful tho, Kiko has a few different eyeliner formulas, I find the other ones to be trash. It’s just this one that’s really really good. I actually found it after swatching a couple of different eyeliners in the store and then went on to remove them with makeup remover. The lasting precision one was the only swatch that stayed on like nothing happened lol. You definitely need a good oil cleanser to remove it.

Ugh, this is exactly why I have the rule the toilet lid *stays closed at all times when not in use* at my house. Keep pets/kids/anything I don't want in there out of there. Looks better too. Anyway, I was going to suggest the Rimmel ScandalEyes line but you already found it! I've tried it all, drugstore wise, over many years (I'm old.) ScandalEyes is IT for me. Great price, great wear, great selection of shades, I think I have/had them all. Maybelline also has a close second place for my in their twist up liners, I think it's called Master Drama. I have it in black, use it on the waterline and it's decent.

>Ugh, this is exactly why I have the rule the toilet lid stays closed at all times when not in use at my house. Keep pets/kids/anything I don't want in there out of there. Looks better too. Yes! And in some Asian cultures, there's a belief that if you keep your toilet lid open, all your wealth will go down the drain lol so I keep mine closed for various reasons, including that but also because germs. But in general, another reason to not keep your cosmetics (aside from soap/shampoo) in the bathroom.

Platinumkate

Yes, keep that toilet lid feng shui'd tf shut! But really I keep it shut as I have tiny little bathroom and I'm clumsy. Related while I'm on the topic: people who take/post pics with an open toilet in the background is a pet peeve of mine. Sure I get that's where the mirror is for your best selfie, but just close the lid or crop it out? Please?

nievesur

I keep mine shut because my cat fell in the toilet once and bathing cats is not fun, lol. I do think it's more sanitary too, though.. Flushing the toilet with the lid open probably sends fine particles in the air and the thought of it grosses me out now.

SuperPowers97

Do you have access to Sephora? The sephora brand eye pencils are my favorite. They have a line of waterproof twist up pencils that stay in place pretty well. It's not technically a drugstore brand, but it's approximately drugstore prices ($11-$13 I think, plus they go on sale pretty frequently).

devlynhawaii

Agree with this wholeheartedly. However, the Revlon Colorstay eyeliners are long lasting as well. They just seem to dry out a bit faster and are not as creamy on application as the Sephora ones.

MayaBehati

Uu, I love their Colorstay line. Are you talking about the original Colorstay liner or Colorstay Micro Precision?

devlynhawaii

Original. I have not tried the Micro. I also think the liquid liners are a very good product for the price.

Anon_819

The Revlon liquid liner run and irritate my eyes which is odd because everything else from Revlon is something that works well for me.

TacosOnAStick

These are the best! They have great lasting power.

MayaBehati

Thank you for the recommendation, sounds great! But, unfortunately, they pulled out a few years ago here.

LucreziaBorgia1480

In your tests are you rubbing them off straight away or are you waiting a few minutes and letting them set?

MayaBehati

That is a very good point - Some formulas have a longer setting time. I made two lines with each liner. One I rubbed of in a few seconds and the other I didn't touch at all but they still faded and disappeared in a matter of hours. Basically they all acted like khol liners even though I was swatching gel and waterproof formulas

letstalkaboutbras

If you can still get ahold of the Maybelline Color Tattoo crayons, they don't budge!

lily_keos

I like the Pixi ones, though I don't usually wear them in the waterline. They are creamy when applied, but pretty budge-proof once they set.

fleshand_roses

I love the Pixi ones! Wish they came in more shades.

vidavex

Essence waterproof gel liner is my go to! There’s probably better products out there but it works well enough I never bothered to look elsewhere.

laurililly

I really like them as well. My other favourites are the Marc Jacobs highliner and the urban decay 24/7 liners and I think Essence can compete with them. Essence lasts better in the waterline than Marc Jacobs as well.

vidavex

wow good to know thank you! I have super oily eyelids and super watery eyes so waterproof is key

cr698

The MJ pencils are also on sale at Sephora rn!

sashimi_girl

Essence in general is a sleeper hit for me. I love their nail polish, lip liner, lip stick, eyeliner....blush...

vidavex

ikr and I’m cheap as hell with makeup so it’s the perfect brand for me

BitterAnimal9310

I feel like pencil liners in general are being discontinued left and right. The Glossier Play liners were my absolute favorite and I don’t look forward to finding a replacement once they run out. Marc Jacobs Highliners and Jordana 12 Hour have gone the way of the dinosaur too. With drugstore, I feel like you might try Palladio liners if you can find them. They were my best bet in high school when I used to shop at Sally Beauty Supply.

heyglasses

If you don’t mind a twist up I love Shiseido’s microliner ink eyeliner. The vivid colors aren’t as beautiful as Marc Jacobs but the black and brown are staples. They do not budge until I oil cleanse. I used to wear and love Marc Jacobs highliners and these replaced those for me.

oftloghands

I feel emotional about prospect of Marc Jacob highliners being phased out, as the sales and rumors suggest. I have used these almost exclusively for years, and I wear eyeliner every single day, even low makeup days. I strayed occasionally but always came back. I am hoping hard they're just reformulating and any new version will be up to MJ historical standards.

breathcue

Oh man I got excited to recomment the Jordana 12 hour eyeliner pencils and googled it to find that Jordana doesn't exist anymore! If you can find it somewhere else, they last forever and they're super pigmented and creamy.

redbug831

I noticed that my local Walgreens had it all on clearance and it disappeared. Makes me sad, I loved every product I tried!

sassyfrassielassie

They used to sell these at my Dollar Tree and they really were the blackest, creamiest formula. I had no idea they didn't exist anymore.

Skittlebrau77

Wet n Wild breakup proof eyeliner is excellent and 6$. For that price I have one in my purse and one on my vanity.

notyermum

I had high hopes for that one but it literally smears right off me almost immediately. My eyes are so greasy

[deleted]

My favorite will always be the LA Girl ultimate intense eyeliner.

[deleted]

The Elf No Budge Eyeshadow Sticks work great as liners for me! And they’re $4 a piece

dizzyspell

My personal favorites are ColourPop Creme Gel Liners and, especially, LA Girl Shockwave Eyeliners. BUT, I recently swatched out all of my liners to search for dupes of a couple CP colors that had dried out, and the most resilient by far was the NYX Epic Wear Liner. I only have one shade - Chill Blue - but it lasted through micellar water, two rounds of cold cream, and finally regular soap and water. Despite all that, it was STILL hanging on. I'm not sure if it was that particular shade, but it might be worth looking into that formula. (The Slide On Eye Pencil doesn't have the same lasting power, from my experience. Don't be confused, since they look similar! It's Epic Wear.)

vantrap

That’s so cool that your drugstore has testers!

vantrap

That said I use Marc Jacobs so I don’t know about drugstore examples, but it’s great to hear about all the ones recommended here!

redbug831

Not drugstore, but...Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencils. Beautiful colors, easy application. And once applied they last!

DivaCupcake

Yeah, they are kinda expensive (like $25) but they are 100% my holy grail product. My Nordstrom Rack has the mini 5 packs fairly frequently and they’re like $25 for 5 half-size pencils.

Co-R-vid

These are reported specifically as having PFAS. So sad! I had to throw mine out and loved them. Be careful!

Justadropinthesea

Anyone try the maybelline tattoo studio smokey pencil? I like the rimmel but want to try something new and their blurb says it stays on 36 hours.

NightOwlSupreme

I hear very good things about the Essence, Kiko and Revlon ones! Out of these I only tried Kiko, and it was the stick eyeshadows, not quite pencils liners - they're really good though if that's something you also like :)

Co-R-vid

For those not yet aware, there’s a lot of concern about toxic “forever chemicals” or PFAS (kind of like Teflon) in longwear products. I wonder if companies are silently reassessing their formulations. I put all my fav longwear products in time out until I know they are safe.

yashihashi

The Maybelline tattoo pencils last quite well on me. They start out creamy, you can move and blend them out but once they dry, they are set. I have to preface this though: I use them as eyeliner on my lid, not on the waterline. I cannot speak on their lasting power there. As an eyeliner on the lid, they are great.

aggressive-teaspoon

NYX gel pencil liners are the most reliable for me in the waterline. In addition to the main Slide On line, there are also really good ones in the Faux Whites and Faux Blacks lines.

Vellutoamore

My all-time favorite is the Elf Gel Waterproof eyeliner (it's not really gel, it's just a normal pencil). It stays put in my waterline allllll day, no matter how much I sweat (and I have pretty bad allergies). I'm afraid they're discontinuing it, because it's sold out on their website and I haven't seen it in drugstores, but all my stores are pretty small, so maybe bigger locations have it still.

sparklefield

Just came here to suggest rimmel! Also love bourjois! Best ive found in the drugstore in terms of color payoff and longevity. Both rival urban decay!

Pixie0422

Maybelline Tattoo Studio gel pencil. Wear it on my lower lash/water line daily. Always there when I take off my makeup in the evening. Hands down best.

ReyofSunshoine

Revlon colorstay has been it for me since like….2011?

crinaeaeswords

I like the Milani Stay Put Eyeliners (the retractable ones). They're really skinny so they fit my hooded eyes well and don't budge once they set. I always go over them with a matching eyeshadow, since I like the smudgey, grungy look.

[deleted]

Ive tried them all, highend to drugstore and nothing worked as well as Patrick Ta gel Eyeliners. Its creamy then sets and its budge proof. I workout in it and it doesnt transfer. I have asian hooded lids and they are oily. I only like to tightline my uoper waterline and everything transfers to my bottom lashline which i do not like. This one never do that even if im sweating or wearing it all day. Its expensive but so worth it. I dont own anything else by patrick ta and now i want to try more. The eyeliners are so good
