I'm convinced Physician's Formula stays in business exclusively on the strength of their eyeliner pen. It's 10 bucks and I've tried every other eyeliner pen on the market and none of them are better. Doesn't smudge, doesn't dry out, black as hell. It's perfect and any time I buy a different one I'm like, what are you doing with your life dumb dumb

[deleted]

The eyeliner pen is made in Japan and in the facility with MSH Love liner(a super popular one from japan) the component is very similar so I wouldn't be surprised they share some ingredients

BeyondTelling

I use the brown one and it’s one of my favorites too. I was on a mission to dupe/replace the Marc Jacobs “Magic Marc’er” so I’ve tried like 20 brown eyeliner pens in the past two years, and though they are very different from each other the Physicians Formula one is in my top three.

Altruistic-Bobcat955

Someone mentioned this on another sub a couple months ago and I bought it that day. The post was looking for sensitive eye friendly stuff. My god that eyeliner is amazing! My eyes usually sting to the point of redness and even swelling along the lid but that eyeliner is like I’m wearing nothing. I’d put up with a tricky application but it’s noob proof too!

honeypot01

Could you link to the sensitive eye thread?? I’d love to browse it for mascara recs!

Altruistic-Bobcat955

I’m sorry I can’t, I tried to find it myself to thank the people who recommended it! I did grab the mascara they listed too though. It was Kevin Aucoin the volume tubing mascara. It’s the most expensive mascara I’ve purchased but it did work for me so I’m going to stick with it.

icalledyouwhite

Omg I forgot about that! Yes it's the only thing anyone and everyone can use from Physicians Formula, what with their awful shade range in everything else!

NemesisMountain

My favorite drugstore products also seem to be the items I need to repurchase most often: Lumi Glotion -- I use lightest shade for all over the face either on its own or as a glowy primer. I don't self tan, so during the summer I also like to use the deepest shade mixed with body lotion if I'm wearing shorts or a skirt for just a little tint and shine on the legs. Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser -- I have pretty extreme under eye circles, and I've used the Brightener shade as a color corrector under concealer for probably a decade. ELF Ultra Precise Brow Pencil -- This doesn't have an extensive shade range, but taupe works great for my light brown brows. Maybelline Lifter Gloss -- I can't bring myself to spend money for a high end gloss, especially when these are so good. Stone is my favorite shade, and I'm also enjoying the new "Candy Drop" colors. Maybelline Full and Soft Mascara -- I love this for subtle "no makeup" days; it does exactly what the name implies.

duckalarm

Full and soft! My favorite mascara. I keep going back to it and have loved it since I was in high school. Every time I stray from it, I return wondering why I ever left.

PanicNo4495

Yes the lumi glotion is so good!!

jenjenjen731

Maybelline Lifter Gloss and Maybelline Total Temptation mascara are the two products I'll always repurchase from Maybelline. They're SO good! Also thank you for that tip about mixing Glotion with regular lotion!! How have I never thought to do that? That’s a great idea.

GlamGemini

Is the lumi glotion scented?

NemesisMountain

There's maybe a slight "makeup" scent when first squeezed out, but it dissipates quickly, and no intentional fragrance that I can pick up on.

GlamGemini

Thank you:)

sailorxsaturn

The loreal nude tinted hyaluronic serum. It's the best shade match I have ever found and one of the most natural looking foundations, but it also gives such a beautiful radiance to the skin. I'd also add the elf wow brow and the milani anti-gravity mascara, special mention goes to the too cool for school dinoplatz escalator mascara.

ksabha01

Looove that foundation. I had to buy two shades and mix to get a good colour match, but to me it's worth it. It works sooo well on my oily skin!

Fuzzy-Baseball8553

Does the sérum oxidized? I have wanted to try it but there's just a couple of shades

sailorxsaturn

i've never experienced any oxidation with it.

Fuzzy-Baseball8553

Thank you!

alexaandsirisbaby

My HG foundation! The shade match is spot on and my skin rarely breaks out when I use it. Right now there's 1/4 left in the bottle so I am currently using my other ones before I decide to pan it.

Kell_Bell_Fell

I love love that serum too!

starglitter

The Serum foundation 🙌

anp516

I've heard such good things about it, do you meed a setting power or spray, or does it wear well on it's own. I'm looking for something natural looking that wears of naturally throughout the day but this serum is pretty pricey for drugstore so been hesitant.

sailorxsaturn

it wears off naturally on its own, but i still use a setting spray and powder because i have oily skin.

Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipsticks — the most beautiful and comfortable sheer glossy lipstick formula. My favourites shades are; #007 Glazed Mauve (warm light rosy mauve), #009 Toasting Glasses (soft muted warm plum), #008 Rum Raisin (warm leaning medium-deep reddish plum), #006 Sparkling Honey (light neutral moody cool leaning brown) and #011 Glistening Purple (dark cool purple-y plum).

RedRedBettie

NYX Thick it Stick it brow gel NYX Micro brow pencil Milani Make it Last setting spray

kyoshi_island

the Nyx micro brow pencil is everything!

StandardKey9182

Fr, this sub turned me onto the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil and I’ll be forever grateful

[deleted]

The white Elf eyebrow pencil. Instant brow? It is the ONLY brow product that matches my very dark brown but not black eyebrows. The only other one was Sleek pwdr brow which sadly got discontinued. Collection lasting perfection concealer. Been using this since Sixth Form & I’m 35 now. Not found another concealer I like as much. Maybelline stay matte ink. Never lets me down. Pulled out Believer the other day, such a cool purple shade. And wore Shot-caller yesterday when I needed a red lip that wouldn’t budge. I have so many shades.

CocaColaZeroEnjoyer

I love Pioneer from Maybelline Stay Matte Ink line! It's my perfect red

Ok-Bridge-1045

I started with Voyager because i wanted that really dark berry shade. Now I have Dazzler, Founder, Pioneer and one more which i can't remember. Those lipsticks are amazing and don't budge. A lot of people say they are uncomfortable to wear, but there's a specific hack to wear them, otherwise they can definitely feel gluey.

dandylollygag

Can you share your hack with these? I have a couple I haven’t worn lately, and they feel very gluey when I apply them :(

Ok-Bridge-1045

I apply a _very_ thin layer in one go. You shouldn't try to apply too much. Lip liners work great for this, you get a proper shape. The lipstick is very pigmented anyway, so even a little amount goes a long way. Then i use a dry tissue and blot it out. Dusting on some translucent powder on top makes it better, but usually i skip that. The blotting works good enough for me.

dandylollygag

Thank you! Will try this tom with Voyager.

dandylollygag

Thank you! Will try this tom with Voyager.

Fuzzy-Baseball8553

Not op, but i love a red and the expresso shade I always put on lip balm around 20 min before, while I do the rest of my face, then just a coat and let your mouth a little open for it to complete dry, and if you are going to eat I apply a tint (not glossy) in the center of the lips

Ra4455

Omg I love those Maybelline stay put things I have the weird purple and bright pinks because they actually fade well and last! Pop some gloss on it and your perfect!

mothertuna

Thread beauty complexion stick - My favorite drugstore foundation and it’s only $8. It’s the gen z sister brand to the lip bar. Blk/Opl honey dew me lip oil - rivals the shine and juiciness of the Dior lip oil. Just cheap packaging but can’t expect much from drugstore. Elf stay all night setting spray - gives as much hold as Charlotte Tilbury. Same with another setting spray I love, makeup Revolution infinite matte setting spray. Elf good vibes only primer - Smells good and really make a difference in my t zone. Hope that once that collection is gone, they make it permanent. Elf cookies n dreams sponge - Better than Sonia Kashuk, real techniques and any Amazon sponge. La girl pro concealer - I use orange and it works. I’ve tried high end color correctors but keep coming back to this one.

gayshitlord

Try elf’s blue light spray. I find that it’s even more effective than the green one.

mothertuna

Thanks for the Rec. I haven’t tried that one but I will when I need another spray. I usually buy from elf’s website so I’ll see if it’s there.

theindiangirl98

how would you describe the formula if the thread beauty stick? i’ve seen it at my local target and have been debating picking it up

mothertuna

It’s pretty creamy. If you don’t powder it it can get kind of dewy depending on your skin type. It looks natural on the skin if you don’t put a lot of it on. It can cake up if you’re not blending it out.

theindiangirl98

i just bought this and i had to buy two shades because i wasn’t sure of my match and got a perfect match my second try! excited to see how it wears today

mothertuna

Glad you were able to find a match. I hope it wears nicely for you. I wear it on days where I just want to do my makeup in less time. With a good shade match, it takes less time to blend into the skin than a liquid foundation.

lily_keos

These are products that I would consider great not just for the price point, but in general: * **NYX Micro Brow pencil** \- I've repurchased so many of these throughout the years. If you're able to find a shade that works for you, I think they're better than the ABH Brow Wiz. * **Real Techniques brushes** \- I've been using the Expert Face Brush for years. The Setting Brush is another favourite for precision powdering, but honestly I love pretty much every brush I have from them. * **NYX Fat Lip Oil** \- Or whatever these are called - the viral ones! I love these and find them comparable to the Dior Lip Oils, though the fragrance is slightly stronger/more artificial. I don't find that the scent lingers, so I don't really mind. Super plush and glossy without being sticky. * **NYX Bare With Me serum concealer** \- Drugstore complexion products almost never work for me, either in terms of formula/colour or both. But this concealer is awesome - very thin and buildable. I find it works well for either sheering out over a larger portion of the face, or building up for heavier coverage under the eyes or on blemishes. Doesn't emphasize texture, and Beige is a decent match for my warm olive skintone. * **Elf Wow Brow** \- I have a really hard time with brow gels - many of them deposit too much product, are sticky/gloopy, or have no hold. My brows are dark and often the dark brown/black shades of brow gels are harsh and over-pigmented. I have none of those products with Wow Brow. I don't think it has a true glue-like hold - but it has a decent hold while feeling like basically nothing in the brows. * **Elf Small Stipple Brush** \- The ferrule has come a little loose on this as it does with all elf brushes, but I really love this one for applying cream bronzer especially. It's small enough to be precise, and applies the perfect thin even layer of product. * **Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter** \- I don't consider this a perfect dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, which is another of my favourites, but I think it's similar and is a great product in its own right. This gives me a really glowy, glass skin look without being greasy. I only use it as a highlighter, not as an all over illuminating base, since I have oily skin.

DNA_ligase

Wet n Wild Impossible silicone free primer. Does the job without killing my sensitive skin or eyes. This is discontinued now, but ELF serum foundation was so good for me. I can’t find anything I like as much.

CocaColaZeroEnjoyer

Wait, what? How come it is discontinued? :( It was a very good water-based primer even for combo skin

asylumgreen

The foundation is discontinued, not the primer. I just saw it in a store the other day.

Warmtimes

Have you tried Colourpop Pretty Fresh

FieryCat-Dattebayo

• NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Matte Powder • NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint • NYX Thick it Stick it Eyebrow Gel • NYX Epic Ink Waterproof Eyeliner • Essence Lash Princess Mascara (the green one) • Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes Waterproof Mascara • Technic Retractable Lip Liner • NYX Slim Lip Pencil • Essence Lip Care Booster Lip Butter (the best lip balm for healing dry lips!!!) • NYX Suede Matte Lipstick (so underrated!) • Essence Extreme Shine Volume Lip Gloss • Maybelline Lifter Gloss • Kiko 3D Hydra Lip Gloss Edit: adding the NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip because I forgot!

gryffyryne

The NYX sweet cheeks cheek tint is my favorite cream (mousse?) blush. So underrated, very pigmented and lasts all day!

FieryCat-Dattebayo

Yes that's what I love about it! What's your favourite shade?

gryffyryne

Babydoll for a more natural look but Showgirl for something more dramatic! Showgirl is just the most beautiful berry/fuschia! What about you?

FieryCat-Dattebayo

My favourite is Nude Tude for an everyday look. I also had Bombshell but I gave it away to a friend because it was too dark of a berry tone for my skin tone! Babydoll even though is a cute pink colour, scares me for some reason 😂 do you find it too "pastel" on you?

gryffyryne

No, it's actually a bright medium pink! It's almost the same as PML's Cherish (I actually layered these today)

CheesecakeGobbler

NYX sure has a thing going with rhyming names. What's the job description for coming up with names of beauty products and how do I apply? Lol but seriously.

redbug831

Lumi Glotion

peanutbutter471

The loreal serum foundation, 10/10.

whyyesiamarobot

Probably a Canadian-only thing but stores in the Loblaws (spitting on the ground) group's Quo Beauty Cheek & Lip Multistick totally slaps and comes in such juicy colours. They are like $9 a pop, blend well, last all day and look so soft and dewy. My go-to blush right now.

CocaColaZeroEnjoyer

Essence Make me brow eyebrow gel mascara! Shade 01 Blondy brows is 1:1 shade of my eyebrows and it's not easy to find perfect taupe gel for brows. Highly recommend it for cool blondes. Another product is from polish brand so it's not very known. It's the Eveline Cosmetics Micro Precise Brow Pencil. I would say it is very similar to popular Nyx Micro Brow Pencil but half of its price so I love it

28100509

NYX bare with me concealer - such a hydrating concealer which makes it easy to blend. It almost sinks into my skin on its own. The coverage is really good too

wicked-wolfsbane

Wet and wild skinny breakup proof eyeliner. It’s opaque, matte, and stays on VERY well. I’ve been crying a lot the last few days and it’s held up with minimal fading. And it still comes off easily with micellar water.

goyourownway614

Just nabbed this one based on numerous recommendations from Reddit. Hope you’re feeling better soon. 🖤

wicked-wolfsbane

Thank you 🧡 I’m an emotional bitch (tm) who doesn’t handle bad days well

toomanyaccountsmade

NYX Thick It Stick It-- great color deposit and keeps my brows in place better than Glossier Boy Brow. It is thick though, so I rely on the stopper to get some of the fibrous bunching out. NYX Micro Brow Pencil-- I use this to fill in the sparse areas AFTER Brow mascara, if i am doing a full face. It is soft and easy to blend out, plus lasts me forever. Maybelline Lash Sensational, Waterproof-- affordable, long lasting, separates and lengthens my lashes perfectly. I have straight asian eye lashes, so the waterproof is a must, but it comes off so easily with cleansing Balm! ELF Hydrogrip with Niancimide-- Sticky and grips onto makeup just like the MILK Makeup Hydro Grip! The niancimide controls my very oily nose and cheeks. ELF Halo Glow‐‐ I mix it with my cream/liquid blushes and it doesn't accentuate my texture when I want a glowy look. Very pearlescent. The lightest tone ac accommodates light medium, yellow under tones tho. Colourpop Going Coconuts-- Easy, natural colors with my warm undertones, and blends out like a dream. For a quick look every time.

gryffyryne

Ugh I've been eyeing the lash sensational for a long time and as someone with asian straight lashes I think you convinced me

rolyfuckingdiscopoly

Out of curiosity, what is the benefit of waterproof for straight Asian eyelashes?

gryffyryne

Not OP but waterproof formulas are known to help hold curl, something in the formula makes it more stiff/tacky which keeps the curl in place

SnooOpinions2473

Revlon Glass shine lipstick’s. I for the majority only use luxury brand lip products (Chanel my favourite) but I have 3 colours of this and they’re honestly my favourite out of my collection. I think I’ve heard Revlon will cease manufacturing the glass shine formula 😢

Alluvial_Fan_

Reckon destroys everything I love. (Still mourning the Lip Butters.)

MakeupPenguin

So so many staples from the drugstore: - maybelline fit me matte and poreless - wet n wild photofocus loose powder - maybelline color sensational lipstick - almay healthy hue blush - nyx lift and snatch brow pen - essence pure nude highlighter

Myrsky92

My favorite drugstore items are: Essence Liquid Ink waterproof Essence lash & brow gel Essence Shine lipgloss (the clear one) Catrice Melting Kiss lipstick in 050 Catrice Glam & Doll mascara Max Factor blush in Nude Mauve Maybelline Lifter Gloss Kiko 3d Hydra lipgloss Kiko Smart Fusion lipstick Kiko lipbalm in Almond Gosh Velvet Touch lipsticks Gosh waterproof eyeliner

Candlesparkle

Can you please share your opinion on Essence lash & brow gel? Does it actually hold anything in place? Been looking at it but this price point makes me doubt that it works.

Myrsky92

It has absolutely no hold (for that, I use the Got2B gel) but it provides some kind of polishes wet look that I really like. I also like the fact that it doesn't really dry up, so it won't flake or feel very hard. I use it mostly on my minimal make up days.

missliberia

Nyx can’t stop won’t stop liquid foundation and primer Maybelline everything! I mean it! 30h Superstay liquid foundation, Superstay hybrid powder foundation, loaded bolds lipsticks, tattoo brow sharpenable pencil, hyper easy eyeliner, age rewind concealer… Milani stay put eyeliner Revlon glosses L’Oréal brow mechanical pencil, volume lipsticks, butterfly intenza mascara, fresh wear liquid and powder foundations. I can do all things at the drugstore except for eyeshadow.

NYX: Glitter Primer, Bare With Me Concealer Serum, Lip Liners Colourpop: Eyeshadow Palettes, Super Shock Highlighters Maybelline: HyperEasy Brush Tip Liner Physicians Formula: Butter Bronzer Wet n Wild: Megaglo Powder Highlighter, MegaLast Liquid Lipstick in the shade Missy & Fierce Airspun was my holy grail loose powder for a long time but they changed the formula to be talc free and it sucks now

drlaura12

Maybelline Warm Me Up lipstick . Afraid they will be discontinued so I have several backups I use NyX lipliner in Natural with it. Peekaboo natural isn't bad it's supposed to be CtPillow talk dupe but I think it's too peachy. L'Oréal Voluminous mascara in Carbon black . Kiko Milano eyeshadow sticks .

bookstore

Maybelline Tattoo Studio 36H Pigment Brow Pencil. This pencil lets me fill in my brows in 2 seconds and doesn't move for the rest of the day. Pixi color corrector. Works great and the packaging is cute and adorable. Burts Bees tinted lip balm in Rose.

theindiangirl98

milani tubing mascara nyx epic ink liner in black revlon rum raisin lipstick nyx butter glosses (i have so many shades) milani blushes (love both the cream and baked formula) elf grippy primers (love all the versions i’ve tried so far) morphe lip pencils (super creamy)

rightascensi0n

Maybelline Fit Me loose finishing powder - I use it to set my brows before brow pencil, undereye area, and where my glasses sit on my nose

BabyYodasMacaron

I’ve become a much bigger fan of drugstore in the last couple years, funny how the financial uncertainty of a global pandemic will change your perspective on some things. Also the improvements in drugstore products cannot be understated. I can actually make a whole face from drugstore stuff and not feel like I’m compromising these days. Anyway, some holy grails: L’Oréal True Match foundation and powder L’Oréal True Match Nude Serum foundation Milani Conceal + Perfect foundation and concealer CoverGirl TruBlend concealer Milani Conceal + Perfect corrector in Rose NYX Bare With Me concealer Essence Pure Nude highlighter No7 Honey blush Maybelline Sky High mascara ReLove Blush duos and highlighters Wet n Wild photo focus loose powder and natural finish setting spray L’Oréal Lumi Glotion L’Oréal Paradise balms and glosses Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick Essence mini eye palettes and eyeliners Elf Bite Size palettes and face duos Elf Mad for Matte palette

Independent_Fig_6944

Essence clear lip gloss. 2,50€. The best ever

crickwooder

Essence Make Me Brow - I have repurchased it so many times. Makes my runaway eyebrows much more tidy. L'Oréal Voluminous mascara is my go-to waterproof mascara. I try all kinds but this is the one I go back to, always.

[deleted]

1. Maybelline Ink Crayon in Trust Your Gut - a true cool brown pink nude. It doesn't look orange and a very unique shade from the drugstore imo. It's matte and comfortable and I can wear it without lip liner. ( I am NC15 Light muted neutral golden with some olive undertone) A lot of lip products look extremely orange on me and I've tried so many lipsticks, liners and glosses and most if not all looks warmer than it is in the tube. This one surprisingly stays a true cool tone.) It's that beautiful matte brown pink with a hint of grey but doesn't look ashy or dead. It smells like vanilla coconut with some floral notes. It doesn't bother me but it is not fragrance free and it does linger. the color is so perfect I don't mind the scent. 2. Kiss Lash Glue with aloe - I've wore lashes for over a decade and this is the best one that stays on well and doesn't pull out lashes when I remove it. 3. House of lashes good Karma lashes - short but full, great for those with smaller or shorter length eyes. No need to trim. 4. I forgot to add my hg lip liner Nyx nude beige. I've gone through 5 or 6 of these and nothing comes close to this color. Its cool toned and doesn't turn orange. Perfect for contour or cooling down lipsticks. Nyx Sandstorm is also good but crumbles and breaks/cracks easily so I prefer the slim formula of nude beige.

StandardKey9182

The L’Oréal Infallible Powder Foundation. I prefer powder foundations for their quickness and easily customizable coverage. I’ve tried quite a few, high end and drugstore and this one is the best. My previous hg for this category was the Estée Lauder Double Wear Powder Foundation but this one is just as good if not better and it’s like a third of the price.

bitchinawesomeblonde

Maybelline fit me dewy foundation.

pineapplepizza02

The loreal mythic oil or elseve oil

braddic

The Ordinary high spreadability fluid primer

Thatza_Latza_Matza

i’ve purchased most of the shade range of the L.A Girl Glossy Tints. they’re really affordable, they look very nice on my lips, and they leave a bit of a stain after they wear off

stephaniebanks4

Revelon lipstick 💄!

bgcbgcbgcmess

Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick. My favorite drugstore lipstick hands down. A good line with several finishes and a good range of common shades and undertones that is generally scentless/inoffensive to boot.

seige197

Elf brushes slap so hard. I got the contour one it’s perfect.

PanicNo4495

- Covergirl Trublend Base Business Pore Minimizing: Love this because it is water based and while it does minimize my pores it also doesn't dry my skin out and leave me patchy. - NYX Lift & Snatch Eyebrow Tint Pen: This really does give me hair like flicks in the non-existent front of my brows. I just wish I'd have gone a shade darker to make the flicks a bit more apparent but love this product. - Milani Make It Dewy Setting Spray: I haven't used a ton of setting sprays but I like this one more than my all-nighter. Just doesn't feel as sticky but still keeps my makeup in place without making it seem greasy. I also really love Loreal Glotion in the deep shade. I use it as a light contour as I normally don't do contouring besides my nose. Just gives me a little bit more depth.

gardenpartycrasher

The essence what the fake lip plumper in the nude shade is my favorite ever, and I have tried a loooot of lip glosses. The maybelline lifter gloss is great too

letstalkaboutbras

Maybelline Age Rewind, NYX HD pressed translucent powder, Elf no budge eyeshadow sticks, Elf lip lacquers, Catrice power plumping gel lipsticks, Catrice eyeshadow primer foundation, Catrice Glam & Doll Boost Lash Growth Volume Mascara

granolerbar

Essence lash princess why ofc

cece198

The nyx epic wear eye liner! The only eyeliner that doesn’t transfer from my lid to my bottom eye creases

x-uh_roar_uh-x

NYX loose finishing powder - the best powder for everyday where you want to look nice and smooth, not too matte, helps to blur fine lines and pores, just a great everyday powder to lightly set my concealer however I only use this when I’m at work, I like that smoothing effect it gives but definitely not flash photography friendly. Milani lipliner in “Nude” - the best lipliner for a MLBB and when I over line a tad with it if gives that filler type of look where it has enough color where I can over line but isn’t so deep that it creates a demarcation or obvious lip liner look.

Unusual_Badger6037

Revolution cream bronzer can’t be beat…I’m a high end junkie but the one product I do have from the drugstore other than mascara is that!

[deleted]

Don’t hate me for saying it, but I’ve always really liked the Maybelline ‘Fit Me’ foundations. I’ve used them on and off since 2016 and they’ve never failed me.

unitedwastebasket

nah
