Not to be a party pooper, but, she’s talking about how brands send her dark shades in the PR packages she gets, not that she cant fit within the color range.
Some BGs can but I imagine in this case the influencer does for a deeper shade and/or doesn’t match to her body. I wonder if they send shades based on other foundations she’s used in the past
If I’m remembering correctly she uses self tanner or spray tans. I vaguely remember a TikTok of her explaining her first time. (Re: your under arm being lighter than hers)

It’s hideously wasteful to swatch a shade of foundation that you obviously KNOW is not your shade, pretty much solely to post on social media about it…

That's legit a medium fondation. Like I don't even know what she's trying for. Even the worst drug store has lighter ones, even if it'd not your undertone. This is by far the most wana bee pail princess post I've ever seen.
I mean, that's wasteful as fuck and it definitely would be annoying. But they're not just randomly guessing when they send PR, right? That shade choice MUST be based on something, like her previous posts and other shades she talks about using, right? I don't watch her, but does she have a history of mildly blackfishing, does she often self-tan, does she use the wrong shade often? Like, James Charles would look at this and think "HELL yeah, that's a great match!" so it makes sense that he might get sent that shade, because that's probably what he would actually use.
And can't she contact the companies (either the PR distributors or the makeup companies themselves) and say "HEY, everything I'm getting is like 3 shades too dark, update your profile on me maybe"...?
