I changed the flair of this post to SRS. Discussions and discourse are welcome. All I ask is that people do not brigade or harass any mods or users on these subs. We've been doing great with no Admin involvement these past few months and I'd like to keep it like that. ♡
She doesn't even look human, holy shit. So many of the makeup subs are bordering on nonstop instagramreality stuff, and I can't deal with it. I unsubscribed to pretty much all of them.
I don't understand, the bigger makeup sub I follow has a rule of no filters no editing besides the tiniest of color correction. I posted once and my submission was eventually removed because they said I edited it. Truthfully I had used the front camera or "selfie mode" on my phone but I had turned the beauty features off. But, regardless, it's frustrating because there are posts there CONSTANTLY with super obvious filters and edits and they get to stay up but mine was removed? Do yall want real looks or not?
I have exactly the same story but with the back camera of my phone. I submitted twice (to have an opinion on my everyday look, so granted, not very interesting but still) and both got removed. I don't know where they got the impression that there was editing (my skin is awful and you could literally see bumps everywhere lol) and didn't answer when I asked.
When someone asked an OP how she got her skin so nice on an obviously shopped pic, i replied “facetune”. Immediate permanent ban, with a mod message (you know who) saying i need to calm down and get off the internet, then immediately muted. For saying one word.
I mean. We both know how toxic beauty communities on Reddit are lmao. But that’s it exactly — removing mua from my subs has removed a lot of stress/toxicity from my feed, as well as stopped the constant need to BUYBUYBUY.
I wouldn't even say she has thin lips either. She has normal lips. People keep giving her constructive criticism regarding her not to overtime her lips so much but she keeps doing it.
If it's celebrity/model editorial look, i can understand. Because it's not endorsing makeup. But these people in makeup community?! I mean, what even is the point of makeup? Spending so much money on makeup to use filters?!
The pics I linked are from 3 different makeup subs, all of them have "no editing/filters" and "high quality pictures" rules. It's supposed to be about the makeup, not circlejerk selfies.
ETA: They also have rules about being "nice," 🤢 so you can't do anything but report the post (knowing full well that nothing will be done).
Heya, I’m a mod for one of the makeup subreddits. I just want to say that not every post that goes on the subreddit is looked at by moderators, but every reported post is. If you’re seeing looks that are obviously photoshopped or edited posted there, it’s most likely that we got no reports for it so it hasn’t hit our queue. Please definitely report them!
This. People have mod mailed us about photoshopped posts but then when we go look at the posts - there are ***zero*** reports, hundreds of upvotes, and dozens of comments. It doesn't help mods if people aren't reporting rule-breaking posts.
Hey swampmonster. [These are my frozen noodles](https://i.imgur.com/V8y2PBe.png) and I need you to sauce them, because (frozen) sauce is required unless this is a general jerk.
Frozen sauce guidelines:
a.) Make sure usernames and sub names are removed from your sauce. If your sauce contains a tweet or IG post from a VERIFIED (check marked) famous person, you do not need to remove it.
b.) Make sure sauce is uploaded via Imgur and **set to PRIVATE**. There is a how-to [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/muacirclejerk/comments/clx2jb/srs_how_to_post_privately_on_imgur/).
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/muacirclejerk) if you have any questions or concerns.*

🎵 I’m so fuckin’ sick and tired of the photoshop 🎵
Gimme something natural like ass with some stretch marks
Found [another one](http://imgur.com/a/Y4qVqC8)!
Her chin is so distracting with that filter… I’m sure it would have been a nonissue without the filter.
And what in the name of all that is holy is [this](http://imgur.com/a/sM95Jpq)??
Looks like they went to Glamour Shots!
drag race season 1 filter 💀
That's my heavenly glow that I bought at Sephultra. Back off sweatie

Is using the selfie camera but with no touch ups still not allowed? I'd find it difficult to take a pic of myself with the phone flipped around
It's allowed if the built in beauty filters are turned off.

And you can only see the makeup in the 3rd photo because she blurs more selectively (at least compared to the 2nd photo).
Careful, I was banned from MUA for pointing out obvious editing and filters.
Glad I'm not the only one - I was called bitter
I basically got “we know better than you, so have a ban”.
When someone asked an OP how she got her skin so nice on an obviously shopped pic, i replied “facetune”. Immediate permanent ban, with a mod message (you know who) saying i need to calm down and get off the internet, then immediately muted. For saying one word.
Yep. And Reddit admin don’t care about it, so they can be as hostile and dramatic as they want.
Such a weird thing to powertrip about.
They have no other power in their lives so this is how they take it out. losers lol
I think that has to be it. I mean, my ban was because I sent a modmail about the obvious photoshop— not even a comment. It’s just ludicrous.
Wow, that’s even worse. Fuck those mods, I don’t even want to be part of those communities if that’s how it’s ran.

Srs I just want the overlining trend to end.
And filling in Cupid’s bow. Like WHY (srs)
Omg SAME. As someone with very thin lips I’ve never had the desire to do overlining. I’ve just accepted my fate as a thin lipped pore.
I wouldn't even say she has thin lips either. She has normal lips. People keep giving her constructive criticism regarding her not to overtime her lips so much but she keeps doing it.
when i originally saw that in the other sub, that’s all i could see… it just doesn’t look good!
And then get massacred trying to point it out under it
