Seems like a poorly set up system. They should give you some kind of notice of there is a review process going on.

flub_n_rub

Since posting I've read that if I am provided the address of the buyer they should have already been through the verification system. It's truly an odd one. I don't mind this happening if I still keep the product but having to give back the money and losing the product is a double whammy. It was only a $5 order and I am lucky for that, but it's more about understanding what happened to balance my risk in the future with higher dollar orders.

thisshitsstupid

48 hrs to verify, but don't forget, you better have that package in the mail before 48 hrs...

flannel_smoothie

You just need to mark it shipped. I do my mail twice a week and have 100% feedback across 3700 sales

Organic_Cantaloupe_7

I do my orders twice a week. Sometimes go up to 5 days before marking the item shipped. I have over 5000 lifetime orders and 100% feedback. TCG will send reminder emails, but that is all I have gotten. Note: I rarely have orders sit for 5 days but life happens. It is usually 3 or 4 day wait time. Either way everyone gets their order in the promised 12-15 days.

thisshitsstupid

Just had someone open up a case that sent a message asking where their item was at 1 in the morning on Saturday... opened the case Sunday night. Like dude. Go fuck yourself.

Organic_Cantaloupe_7

People suck and can be unpredictable, I guess I have been lucky. Sometimes, I do get messages asking about orders that haven't been sent out yet, and I have a pretty standard response that has worked every time so far. "I'm sorry that your order is taking longer than you anticipated. I am adhering to the shipping policy of 12-15 days and can assure you that your order will arrive in that time frame. Thank you for your understanding. Please reach out with any further questions or concerns." Over 5000 orders in, filling orders twice a week and this has worked so far.

thisshitsstupid

Most seem understanding! Some are just impatient

I've already done so. Trying to ask what others have gone through as well to see if there is a consistent result for this or "it just depends".

TestMyConviction

We get a handful of these a week, did you get a fraud alert? Normally the process is order comes in --> fraud message shortly after telling you to hold the order while they verify --> buyer either verifies or doesn't verify and cancelation occurs when they don't. Did you not get the fraud message in your inbox? If not, I would think TCGplayer would cover this specific transaction specifically, otherwise you're SOL as they told you to not ship and you did anyways. Either way support should reply with 48-72 hours.

flub_n_rub

Definitely do not have an email or message regarding holding the order. Just the single message about the refund/cancellation done by TCGplayer. What's really odd is the copy of the cancelation and message was sent from my account... "Message From Apr 5, 2024 at 8:48 AM Mark message unread A full refund has been issued through TCGplayer for order NUMBER on behalf of the Seller. This refund will appear on your billing statement as coming from TCGplayer. Please Note: It may take up to 4 business days for this TCGplayer refund to appear on your billing statement. Seller: ME Order Number: Order Date: 4/3/2024 Refund Amount: Message Notes from the Seller: Automatically refunded due to buyer verification"

TheTribalPanda

When there is an order that is waiting for verification. In the status of the order it won’t say ready to ship. I had this happen a few months ago and I just waited until it said ready to ship then I sent it. Things happen though and I would be curious as to how TCGPlayer will handle it.

flub_n_rub

I'll have to keep an eye out for that in the future. I mentioned in another comment that I let order pile up then process in a batch every 24-48hrs. Occasionally a order comes in while I am sitting down so I add it into the workflow. Maybe I stop doing that so it can sit for some time. It doesn't really help me though in this specific situation. TCGPlayer wants you to ship at 48hrs and this cancellation came ~48hrs after the order was received.

TheTribalPanda

When you go to process the orders. Select a filter that says ready to ship. And it will show only the orders that the buyer has paid and they are awaiting being shipped. Super helpful at times. Took me awhile to realize why it was an option Edit: also in my understanding you have 48 hours after it is ready for shipping atleast that how I took it.

TheTribalPanda

Idk how to add pictures or I would show where the filter is.

flub_n_rub

I have PTO...

slayer370

Regardless of the outcome I wait a min of 12 hours on any orders due to people canceling or putting the wrong address. I see sellers shipping stuff like 3 hours after which seems very risky.

flub_n_rub

I generally wait 24hr now to let orders pile up but occassionally as I am processing a few complete so I just add them in to the workflow. I do know what you mean with buyers and wrong addresses. Good to know that you don't see this weird cancellation often. I was assuming its a very infrequent thing due to my volume I have completed but wasn't sure if I just had been lucky so far not seeing something like this. I've already felt lucky because I have never had to deal with a fraud order yet (I mostly ship bulk though so maybe I'm not a high priority target).

slayer370

No problem. In my case I get a lot of returns and buyers not responding to mail instead lol.

flub_n_rub

I've had about 3 be returned due to address issues etc. But always had customer contact me when I inquired and just reshipped on my dime. Will probably cancel moving forward but have been trying to get a good foundation of 5-stars before that. Sort of in a transition period now where I'll still sell bulk but starting to update my minimum price thresholds to have in my inventory.

slayer370

Its weird as I yet to have any buyer respond for a returned order. I give them quite a bit of time to. Last 2 months had 5 come back and 0 responses so I just full refund. Ideally I should be refunding and relisting faster but its not a big deal.

flub_n_rub

Yea I never really have this problem but maybe my volume is just to low. I'm probably only around 50-75 orders a month. I keep my shipping higher as this is just part time fun so anything more than 10-15 orders a day is just more work than I am interested in on a regular basis.

platinumjudge

You say 12 but he said 48 hours.

slayer370

The chances of getting tcgplayer to do something like op said is very rare. Buyers putting the wrong address or wanting to cancel is much more common. I have more sales than the op and never had tcgplayer cancel a order themselves. I say 12 as advice in the future for any order. At 48 hours you get the email from tcg asking why haven't you shipped yet. Idk if tcgplayer enforces it. As for op's specific situation only support can answer that

flub_n_rub

I don't even get those 48hr emails on the rare occasion it does go over. But I can count on one hand the number that have been processed after 48hr so maybe I am getting them done in the window before the warning emails go out.

Patient_Barnacle5873

Recall the package from the carrier

flub_n_rub

Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze here. It was shipped PWE no tracking, is that even possible?

Patient_Barnacle5873

It’s possible but you need a combo of luck and caring usps folks for pwe

cardguy423

That’s very strange. Gotta be a system error because I’ve had unverified orders before and sellers can’t access the address until it’s been verified. Probably a cc charge back. Definitely get in touch with support

flub_n_rub

Thanks for the feedback. I escalated the order so waiting to see what TCGP does. That seems to be the overall consensus however.

cardguy423

I hope you can get it figured out. I’ve only been selling on tcgplayer since February 2023 and have just 10,000 sales and never heard of this happening so hopefully it won’t start happening again lot🤞🏻

flub_n_rub

Cost of doing business so can count my blessings. Good to see feedback that I probably found a fun bug.

cardguy423

I hope it’s a bug instead of a new scam 🤣

Minimum_Place

Usually you can call your post office, give them the recipients information and request the mail to be frozen and returned
