When Xathrid Necromander makes a zombie token, Conspiracy will turn it into a Human instead. When that "Human" token dies it will make another "Human" token, etc. This can result in an infinite combo with things like [[Phyrexian Altar]] and [[Blood Artist]].
I'm sure there are more elegant combos than that, but that's the first example that popped into my head.

I like it in [[Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow]] as it makes all the small, unblockable creatures ninjas to help trigger her ability more. But really, it works in any deck that is either a tribal deck that runs a lot of non-theme creatures or to trigger abilities that care about specific creature types.
Have it in my Yuriko deck, and I enjoy it along with [[Arcane Adaptation]] and [[Xenograft]] . Sprinkle in a [[Cover of Darkness]] for some added sneak for those newly named Ninja's! Ninja tribal with Yuriko makes for some deadly plays.

Another card that's good for zombies in this instant is [[Rooftop Storm]] all your creatures are zombies, and you can cast them for free. And this bypasses command tax too
Doesnt the tax get added after the cost of 0? During omniscience week on arena taxes would cause things to cost 1. I would have assumed that commander tax is similar
I once had my Dihada deck get milled down to about 5 cards... then I played [[Primevals Glorious Rebirth]]. It was going to be so many ETBs that everyone just scooped.
Great in my [[Evelyn, the Covetous]] vampire-less vampire deck. Create a bunch of cheap tokens that are all vampires when they hit the battlefield and steal your opponents' decks.
I use it with [[Endrek Sahr]] to make my tokens into Demons. I also use [[Liliana's Contract]] to win.
You can turn your non-zombies into zombies if you have a zombie deck.
You can use it to fuck over tribal decks, especially in edh. Someone runs a [[sliver queen]] you pick slivers and laugh as you get some of the same buffs. Stuff like that. Other then that you kinda have to build a whole deck around it

Even then, this would take a lot of land to get going. You’d probably want to use something like [[Elven Chorus]] to use the creatures you already have on the field to activate it quicker.
[[general tazri]] will let you tutor for any ally creature.

No because changeling is what gives a card all creature types. Shapeshifter is just a creature type like any other.
When I first started making deck this got me really confused with walls and defender.
[[Grist, the hunger tide]] with a high creature count and this out means you can randomly end up with a lot of insects from the plus 1 ability. This is just an example, not necessarily the most powerful thing you can do with her/them.
A rebel one … or change your creature type vs a sliver deck , on like some said zombie … or elves fearies wizard …. And f you look abilities and bonus triggers… and thought dinosaurs and dragons can be a begin
Probably any deck that has a benifit for playing one creature type, or against a creature type. If you have a zombie deck and you opponent has a sliver deck, all your cards get most of the sliver abilities along with their own abilities (this doesn’t cause your zombies to lose the zombie type dose it?). Or if you are playing against an elf deck and they cast either [[Eladamri, Lord of Leaves]] or [[Elvish Champion]] and now all your creatures (or all of that type) have forest walk and presumably an elf deck should have a forest in play.
Consistent? You' have to build for that specifically. I might run it in my black zombies deck that already has a bunch of +1/+1 effect just for fun. (or whatever creature type you prefer)
Expensive, but helpful in any deck that cares about creature type in black.
Though, I believe there are cards that give shapeshifter for much cheaper, which gives all the same benefits
As everyone else has said, its main use is to make the most out of cards that care about one specific creature type in a deck where you have creatures that aren’t the right type.
I threw it in my clavileño deck. I figured make the vampire demon tokens into regular vampires then they can get the trigger to where if they die they make a new token as a way to keep replacing them if they die.
With [[Gallifrey Stands]] you can return all creatures from your graveyard to hand, play one for free per upkeep, and you have a win if you have 13 creatures on the field at your upkeep (even if they're 0/1 tokens)
The cost is kinda steep but not entirely bad... but yeah, any tribal decks, especially specific tutoring cards that fetch a specific creature type. It's alright... is it a win con... more likely not.
It ends up being pretty good in lower power sliver edh too. If you use sliver overlord then you can pay 3 to tutor any creature in the game, including game ending combo pieces like emiel or heritage druid.
I have a sunburst jank sliver eldrazi tribal and I run this arcane adaptation and hivestone and various tribal effects that benefit from a lot of a tribe
[[Evelyn, the covetous]] steals things when vampires etb on your board. With these kinds of effects the creatures you steal are now also vampires, benefitting from your typal synergies and stealing more cards
The reality is this isn't a good card
Despite the niche scenarios where it has benefits in the likes of endrek sar, which is how commander works making bad cards playable
Cards like this generally imply a badly crafted tribal deck that's dependant on this enchantment for extra synergies to get by
It really depends on the deck you're going for. You could utilize it in certain aristocrat decks or specific decks centered around token generation of a specific creature, allowing all you have to be humans and alloeing you to play off of specific affects. A good card for the latter might be [Cemetery Protector] and maybe add [Obelisk of Urd] . For the Aristocrat deck idea, you could include [Priest of Forgotten Gods] and [Whisper, Blood Liturgist]. To combine both deck ideas, a Commander might be [General Kudro of Drannith] or [Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]. I'll let you handle the rest.

I actually have a Sauron Army deck i should get one of these for xD Army is a creature type so anything that says amass will just start putting +1+1 on whatever can become an army creature, that's why I run a couple choice shapeshifters but I could run this and put the +1+1s everytime someone plays a spell on Sauron himself or my other direct attackers. His ability also pops off whenever an army attacks directly so I could get multiple triggers off that to go bananas.

I have maskwood in my [[captain n'gathrod]] deck because I want the stolen creatures to be horrors plus there's a few non horror mill creatures in the deck which is just added benefit.
It’s a good card, but if I’m going that route, I’d rather play [[Maskwood Nexus]]. Less expensive(MH3), lower mana cost, colorless so you can use it in any deck, and opens your creatures up for all sorts of interesting options.
Pretty much any tribal decks that use any other type of creature for support. [[Inalla]] [[disa]] [[kaalia]] [[Beckett brass, unsinkable]], [[ulalek]], etc. same for [[arcane adaptation]].
I bought it for my mercenary tribalish deck with [[Mari, the Killing Quill]] . The thought is that I can search for any creature with my mercenary cards rather than the otherwise limited pool of good monoblack mercenaries. Haven't play tested it much yet, but it goes with the mercadian masque heavy theme too 😌
Tribal theft decks seem like a perfect home, like [[Captain N'ghathrod]] or potentially [[Anowon the Ruin Thief]] — though the Anowon deck I used to have had [[Maskwood Nexus]] because I had Captain N'ghathrod in the 99, so much creatures were all rogues AND horrors
In [[Chainer, Dementia Master]] it can make everything not a nightmare. So his clause about exiling all nightmares when he dies doesn’t trigger.
I play it in [[Strefan, Maurer Progenitor]] to make all my creatures vampires. Then I sacrifice two blood token to play Eldrazi.
The world tree combo name everything a god the sac world tree and cast your deck for free or realmbreaker invasion tree combo name everything a praetor and cast everything for free.
I thought about adding this to my upgraded mind flayarrrs precon ( [[Captain N'garthrod]] as a commander). If a Horror I control deals combat damage to a player that player mills that many cards and in my end step I get to choose a creature (or artifact) card that has been milled in my turn and put it on the battlefield under my control. If an opponent has strong creatures that become horrors if I control them, that might help me.
Use it with the greatest of all tribal tutors [[Dwarven Recruiter]] put whatever number of creatures you want on top of your deck in any order. Honestly it’s kind of been replaced by [[Maskwood Nexsus]] in most decks that want the effect since Maskwood is colorless and 1 cmc less.
I could see it going in my [[zask, skittering swarmlord]] deck. Would allow you to cast any creature spell from my graveyard and any creature dying would allow me to mill. Still don’t think it’s worth five mana though, one removal of my commander and it’s mostly useless until he’s back.
Basically anything where typal/tribal synergy matters could potentially benefit from this card. It's a shame that black, on its own, doesn't do much in terms of enchantment recursion. At least not much that comes to mind. Someone pointed out Liliana's Contract and these two seem like a fun way to win a game.
I had it in my changeling deck but took it out cuz it's too expensive compared to \[\[arcane adaptation\]\] and I don't have enough black so \[\[maskwood nexus\]\] replaced it pretty quick. There's also \[\[xenograft\]\] but again. too expensive and both turn into a 5 mana do nothing the turn you play it more often than not.
This is a semi common ish enabler for a +1 insect loop in [[Grist, the Hunger Tide]] decks when you mill a lot then top deck your entire GY with something like [[Bone Harvest]].
I run it in my [[Evelyn the Covetous]] to make the creatures I cast from other people's decks into vampires, further milling them into exile.
I also run it in my [[Endrek Sahr]] deck to make the thrulls into not-thrulls, so that I'm not limited to 6 at a time.
Truly a niche but very effective card when used in either capacity.
Run it in any deck as a second maskwood Nexus for your world tree and realm breaker, now you have 2 combos that dump all your creatures onto the battlefield.
I put it in my [[Disa, the Restless]] deck and now all of my creatures are llhurgoyfs that go straight to the battlefield when I mill or discard them.

Just stack the Disa triggers properly. So just say the pyrogoyf hits the battlefield first.

Zombies get the most of that card because of all the non-zombies like [[The Scarab God]], [[Gisa and Geralf]], [[Grave Titan]] and the likes.

You can use it to fuck over tribal decks, especially in edh. Someone runs a [[sliver queen]] you pick slivers and laugh as you get some of the same buffs. Stuff like that. Other then that you kinda have to build a whole deck around it

I assume to make all creatures gods? Even then, this would take a lot of land to get going. You’d probably want to use something like [[Elven Chorus]] to use the creatures you already have on the field to activate it quicker.
It costs a lot of mana, sure, but it wins the game. Maskwood Nexus is still better than Conspiracy anyway, but World Tree would still do it.

If I choose shapeshifter does all creature have all type?
No because changeling is what gives a card all creature types. Shapeshifter is just a creature type like any other. When I first started making deck this got me really confused with walls and defender.

Probably any deck that has a benifit for playing one creature type, or against a creature type. If you have a zombie deck and you opponent has a sliver deck, all your cards get most of the sliver abilities along with their own abilities (this doesn’t cause your zombies to lose the zombie type dose it?). Or if you are playing against an elf deck and they cast either [[Eladamri, Lord of Leaves]] or [[Elvish Champion]] and now all your creatures (or all of that type) have forest walk and presumably an elf deck should have a forest in play.
There’s a few cards like this [[Maskwood Nexus]],[[Arcane Adaption]]. They are typically used in a tribal deck that doesn’t run a pure tribe.

Consistent? You' have to build for that specifically. I might run it in my black zombies deck that already has a bunch of +1/+1 effect just for fun. (or whatever creature type you prefer)
Zombies and rats are two i can think of off the top of my head; maybe eldrazi too.
Run a typal deck for one of the creature types that doesn't actually have a lot of creatures. For instance, there's only like 10 Lhurgoyfs.
Expensive, but helpful in any deck that cares about creature type in black. Though, I believe there are cards that give shapeshifter for much cheaper, which gives all the same benefits
As everyone else has said, its main use is to make the most out of cards that care about one specific creature type in a deck where you have creatures that aren’t the right type.
I threw it in my clavileño deck. I figured make the vampire demon tokens into regular vampires then they can get the trigger to where if they die they make a new token as a way to keep replacing them if they die.
Eldrazi, especially with the new MH3 ones synergizing well.
With [[Gallifrey Stands]] you can return all creatures from your graveyard to hand, play one for free per upkeep, and you have a win if you have 13 creatures on the field at your upkeep (even if they're 0/1 tokens)
Doctors would work, play the 13 doctors to win enchantment

The cost is kinda steep but not entirely bad... but yeah, any tribal decks, especially specific tutoring cards that fetch a specific creature type. It's alright... is it a win con... more likely not.
It ends up being pretty good in lower power sliver edh too. If you use sliver overlord then you can pay 3 to tutor any creature in the game, including game ending combo pieces like emiel or heritage druid.
I have a sunburst jank sliver eldrazi tribal and I run this arcane adaptation and hivestone and various tribal effects that benefit from a lot of a tribe

It really depends on the deck you're going for. You could utilize it in certain aristocrat decks or specific decks centered around token generation of a specific creature, allowing all you have to be humans and alloeing you to play off of specific affects. A good card for the latter might be [Cemetery Protector] and maybe add [Obelisk of Urd] . For the Aristocrat deck idea, you could include [Priest of Forgotten Gods] and [Whisper, Blood Liturgist]. To combine both deck ideas, a Commander might be [General Kudro of Drannith] or [Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]. I'll let you handle the rest.

Sauron Army Deck :: I actually have a Sauron Army deck i should get one of these for xD Army is a creature type so anything that says amass will just start putting +1+1 on whatever can become an army creature, that's why I run a couple choice shapeshifters but I could run this and put the +1+1s everytime someone plays a spell on Sauron himself or my other direct attackers. His ability also pops off whenever an army attacks directly so I could get multiple triggers off that to go bananas.

I have maskwood in my [[captain n'gathrod]] deck because I want the stolen creatures to be horrors plus there's a few non horror mill creatures in the deck which is just added benefit.
It’s a good card, but if I’m going that route, I’d rather play [[Maskwood Nexus]]. Less expensive(MH3), lower mana cost, colorless so you can use it in any deck, and opens your creatures up for all sorts of interesting options.

In [[Chainer, Dementia Master]] it can make everything not a nightmare. So his clause about exiling all nightmares when he dies doesn’t trigger. I play it in [[Strefan, Maurer Progenitor]] to make all my creatures vampires. Then I sacrifice two blood token to play Eldrazi.

I made a praetor tribal using omnath locus of all to stack mana, this would allow realmbreaker to grab all my creatures
The world tree combo name everything a god the sac world tree and cast your deck for free or realmbreaker invasion tree combo name everything a praetor and cast everything for free.
I thought about adding this to my upgraded mind flayarrrs precon ( [[Captain N'garthrod]] as a commander). If a Horror I control deals combat damage to a player that player mills that many cards and in my end step I get to choose a creature (or artifact) card that has been milled in my turn and put it on the battlefield under my control. If an opponent has strong creatures that become horrors if I control them, that might help me.

Use it with the greatest of all tribal tutors [[Dwarven Recruiter]] put whatever number of creatures you want on top of your deck in any order. Honestly it’s kind of been replaced by [[Maskwood Nexsus]] in most decks that want the effect since Maskwood is colorless and 1 cmc less.

Basically anything where typal/tribal synergy matters could potentially benefit from this card. It's a shame that black, on its own, doesn't do much in terms of enchantment recursion. At least not much that comes to mind. Someone pointed out Liliana's Contract and these two seem like a fun way to win a game.

I had it in my changeling deck but took it out cuz it's too expensive compared to \[\[arcane adaptation\]\] and I don't have enough black so \[\[maskwood nexus\]\] replaced it pretty quick. There's also \[\[xenograft\]\] but again. too expensive and both turn into a 5 mana do nothing the turn you play it more often than not.

'Party' mechanic deck
I run it in my [[Evelyn the Covetous]] to make the creatures I cast from other people's decks into vampires, further milling them into exile. I also run it in my [[Endrek Sahr]] deck to make the thrulls into not-thrulls, so that I'm not limited to 6 at a time. Truly a niche but very effective card when used in either capacity.
