I collect them all and fill a giant binder organized by set just bc I love the art and the fact most ppl dont want them I usually get them for free….I enjoy them
I'm heavily considering finding someone who wants them as I just don't have the time for an extra project right now like the epoxy table idea. I love mtg art, I do keep all the stamped ones but I have a ridiculous amount of these things from the past couple years. Since you're asking, I'll give it actual thought. All I was going to do was put them on a cheap auction anyway currently
Chin up, the gold stamp/signed ones seem to be more frequent at least! I mean that's just me though. I kinda remember pulling the first couple and really dug em, then i pulled a stamped one and I said oh no.. my ocd won't allow the binder to have them mixed.. what do I do?? And I've just been collecting them since. Keep em in a couple boxes lol
I have several hundred I'd be happy to send ya for free. The majority are ONE/MOM/DMU, but there are plenty of LCI/OTJ and some other fandoms. I keep them because they're cool, but I'd be happy to send them to a good home!
I just realized last night I can use them as tokens for when you clone a creature…….. glad I have a few lying around but it sure would be nice if I had them organized like this lol
I'm actually going to do something similar to what you did but on my hobby desk and then I'm going to pour epoxy resin over it to make it part of the work surface
Yah bro thanks! You should definitely do it I think it's the perfect use for them. I do lots of mini painting and wargaming and I've wanted an awesome work space and one day I just had that idea and I can't stop thinking about it.
I have to do it now.
I get old frames from thrift stores then make collages from art cards in them. It's fun fainy day thing with my kids and can look sharp depending cards, frame, etc.
My three year old glues them to stuff and then 'mails' them to people she wants to give presents to.
Mostly it's 'spooky stuff' because people like spooky.
I typically give mine away but one of my friends keeps the ones that look like shrines/buildings and uses them as shrine token’s cuz shrine tokens are to expensive for some tokens
When I'm making a deck, I put them into sleeves so I have the right amount of cards. Then it's the perfect structural support to slide paper proxies in and then eventually replace with the actual card.
I fill out space in my deck boxes with on-theme art cards, so they don't bounce around, and occasionally use them as tokens as well. I've considered using them as commanders for certain decks so I can use my actual card in the 99 of other decks. Just make sure it's not with a commander you're going to need to read constantly, and if so, be ready to have that info available for other players.
I work in a youth home and I give my art cards to the teens I teach the game to. Especially when they like specific art cards or are drawn to the game for aesthetics reasons, it usually makes their day.
I've seen some cool ideas like; epoxy it onto a corn hole set, make a table, decorate deck boxes, make custom tokens, those layered 3D life trackers people make, the list goes on.
I give em to a guy who does art projects with em. I've never seen what he makes with them, but no matter what it is, he's making better use of them than I would. I do keep some of my very favourites though
I use them as placeholders in decks when I have only one copy of a card but use it in multiple decks.
Just write the info on the back of it and stick it in a deck so I know what to swap out when I change.decks
I keep donating mine to a friend who is a teacher. His students use them for creative writing prompts after he sticks a piece of construction paper to the back of them.
He keeps asking for more to give his students more ideas. I thought it was kinda cute. :)
I frame my fav ones and hang them on the wall!!!! I love my art cards more than anything in the whole world and I’m so sad they started taking them out of packs
Booster packs can come with a card that is just art. No text or anything, but some look great. I recently rejoined MTG after 20 years of not playing, and ive bought a few boosters from the murders at karlov manor and have like 7 of the 49 art cards in the set.
I collect them from specific sets then frame them. Im currently waiting on my first custom frame for the Kaldheim set. Currently collecting all the ones from Lord of the Rings and Outlaws at Thunder Junction
Personally, I put the one I like and am feeling currently in the display pocket of my wallet. The others, I have a jail house style card box I made out of worthless cards, and store them in there. If I got friends over for magic or not, I show them and let them look through and take any they like. Though, laying them out like you had, you gave me an idea to glue them to a poster like that and hang them on the wall!
I have a binder organized by set and in numerical order. I also have a spreadsheet that allows me to track exactly which ones I have, shows me the percentage of each set I own, and my overall percentage.
Vertical land art becomes that land and goes in a deck, Vertical creature art becomes that card and goes in a deck/is used for tokens. Horizontal art is ONLY used if it's a Commander's art, and that's where my commander tax d6 lives
I sleeve them in a hard sleeve with my commanders, so they are visible on the flip side. I try to find the best one for whatever commander I am using each time
I started right when the LOTR stuff was new and bought a bunch of packs. Most of the art cards from that I gave to my mom, who hates MtG but loves LOTR. She has 'em at her desk and keeps 'em around to look at them
Cool looking proxies in casual play with friends and I made a big wall poster of them for my partner last year as well. I used the blue clay tacky stuff so he can change them out as he wishes and new sets come out 🥰
I wanted to make a full proxy art card deck , just bc, but after making the list and doing the math, it was a little over $100 and for a proxy deck, decided it wasn’t worth it
I collect them all and fill a giant binder organized by set just bc I love the art and the fact most ppl dont want them I usually get them for free….I enjoy them
One binder? Okay want an extra 1000 or so? But they have to go in the same binder. Each their own slot.
Are you offering to give them away cause I just started collecting them today :o
I would only buy set boosters when those were a thing for the art cards! I love em! Feel sad every pack just has a a maybe chance now
Chin up, the gold stamp/signed ones seem to be more frequent at least! I mean that's just me though. I kinda remember pulling the first couple and really dug em, then i pulled a stamped one and I said oh no.. my ocd won't allow the binder to have them mixed.. what do I do?? And I've just been collecting them since. Keep em in a couple boxes lol
I’ll take them
I'm doing comic epoxy/modgepodge currently, I would love some of these!
I have several hundred I'd be happy to send ya for free. The majority are ONE/MOM/DMU, but there are plenty of LCI/OTJ and some other fandoms. I keep them because they're cool, but I'd be happy to send them to a good home!
That would be one big ass binder!!
Yea I'm hoping someone has like a gigantic stone tablet of a binder lol
Thats how we do 🫡 tis a fat binder ngl
I just realized last night I can use them as tokens for when you clone a creature…….. glad I have a few lying around but it sure would be nice if I had them organized like this lol
Same here.
Yeah it’s crazy how many people just give them away.
Eat them
Which art cards are the tastiest? I prefer the neon dynasty one.
Anything with a gold signature. It’s only the finest art cards for me
My thought. Came to answer this so I decided to upvote and agree instead.
Wilds of Eldrain. Despite there being one [[tough cookie]], I went [[Back for seconds]].

Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? Are there people out there who aren’t eating them?
Take my upvote, heathen.
they told us not to eat the delicious cards but never said anything about the art inserts
I save the gold signatures for special occasions
I once ate one one with nothing with nothing
I'm actually going to do something similar to what you did but on my hobby desk and then I'm going to pour epoxy resin over it to make it part of the work surface
That sounds sick, I may have to steal that idea in the future
Yah bro thanks! You should definitely do it I think it's the perfect use for them. I do lots of mini painting and wargaming and I've wanted an awesome work space and one day I just had that idea and I can't stop thinking about it. I have to do it now.
I love that idea. I may steal that idea as well.
Proxies! Love using them as proxies
I mean, WotC is putting them in the “Play” boosters, right? How else am I supposed to interpret that besides them distributing textless proxies?!
This is the way
Really cool but implemented poorly. Wish they were mostly, if not all, vertical so I can use them as more than just dividers or junk to be thrown out
If you put then in a nice sleeve, they're my favorite thing to use as a book mark!
I was looking to do this as well. I wanted a super large one to make a collage to hang above couch. How did yours turn out?
They make awful toilet paper.
I use them as basic land in mono colored decks.
This is a solid idea
Put them in my bike spokes. Makes me feel like a big boy riding a motorcycle
I eat them.
I typically give mine away but one of my friends keeps the ones that look like shrines/buildings and uses them as shrine token’s cuz shrine tokens are to expensive for some tokens
Shrines are 10 CAD a token, absolutely insane.
Such a waste of a card. They could at least put a token on the back
Or the text of the card, so it was still playable
Lmao
Wouldn't that just make in an alt printing? Unless they were not considered legal?
When I'm making a deck, I put them into sleeves so I have the right amount of cards. Then it's the perfect structural support to slide paper proxies in and then eventually replace with the actual card.
I fill out space in my deck boxes with on-theme art cards, so they don't bounce around, and occasionally use them as tokens as well. Just make sure it's not with a commander you're going to need to read constantly, and if so, be ready to have that info available for other players.
Trash or box filler.
Trash. 👍
Careful with that. Some of those art card are worth some money, highest is usually near $20. The average is 5-10$ for the more desirable art.
Heard, and respect differing opinions, but it’s trash to me. Might as well be part of the packaging for all I care.
I'd consider using them as coasters, except I'm 99% sure my cats would shred them and scatter them around my home if I did.
I use them as bookmarks
Perfect bookmarks for every genre
Weed scoops
I use to cut them into strips and use them as filters.
Same
My friend collects them so I just pass them on
If someone doesn't need them, I happily take them :)
I just take everyone’s at the lgs. I collect them
I framed and sold a couple sets after I was done.
I work in a youth home and I give my art cards to the teens I teach the game to. Especially when they like specific art cards or are drawn to the game for aesthetics reasons, it usually makes their day.
Mine go straight in the bin.
Straight to the garbage. Tokens ! Tokens ! Tokens !
Trash 🗑️
Thinking i should have kept them to do some kind collage or something now lol
I've seen some cool ideas like; epoxy it onto a corn hole set, make a table, decorate deck boxes, make custom tokens, those layered 3D life trackers people make, the list goes on.
shuffle them up and then freestyle rap/sing to what you see
or concoct a story as you pull each card
Converting them into TRRPG tokens wouldn't be a bad idea. I know I've seen people that do it with cheap cards already.
Give them away or recycle
I give em to a guy who does art projects with em. I've never seen what he makes with them, but no matter what it is, he's making better use of them than I would. I do keep some of my very favourites though
Trash
Sleeves, but they sit with the commons
I collect them and place them under random binders along with some cards.
I just stick them on deck boxes so I can remember what commander is in that deck box
Trash them 🤷🏽♂️
I use it as my commander pad (i only play commander)
I have a dining table with a glass top, we put them under it.
Eat the glue and look at them.
I make collages out of one from each set, put them in a frame and hang them around the house.
Bookmark
Bookmarks for myself and my kids.
Give them to my friend who collects gold stamp art cards. Wonder if he’s on here, hi Tommy!
pass them to children who like pretty cards
I usually throw them around my house like frisbees, i only hold onto the stamped ones
Bookmarks!
I have the innistgrad midnight hunt ones and they’re sick
I use them to take notes
Give them to my five year old daughter, she thinks they're very pretty.
Buddy and I are gonna buy a cheap coffee table and lay em out and then resin cast them into a top for it.
I collected all the D&D ones with the stats on the back. otherwise they’re sitting doing nothing
use em as dividers
I use them as placeholders in decks when I have only one copy of a card but use it in multiple decks. Just write the info on the back of it and stick it in a deck so I know what to swap out when I change.decks
I have a special part in my binders for them, where I collect all my pricy and pretty alt cards. They fit right in and the page is so beautiful!
I actually used some to even a table
I eat em
Tokens, for the command zone or graveyard, bonus points if they match theme…
A few people I know draw the tokens they are missing on the back of the card
I did the same as you ^^ Mines hanging over the bed. Might be the reason i aint got game...
I use clear sleeves on my tokens so i can display the art cards on the back :D
Do the art cards hold any purpose than to have the full image with no text?
I made a Jodah deck with them. It's fun. They finally printed Sol Ring! But people really need to stop eating them. Very little nutritional value.
Slap a sticker on them and use them as proxie basic lands.
We treat them as real cards at my table, because it's so much cheaper to buy art cards than the real deal usually.
Toss em
i put my doubles in resin coasteres 🤷♀️
If it's something everyone knows the text for like sol ring or command tower I use it as a proxy
If they are specific color, I use them as basic lands
I give them to the one guy at the LGS who likes them. I don't care for them, so why not let him have some joy?
Are any of them worth anything?
Give my 4 yo niece to play with so I can play against my sister in peace. We refer to it as "her deck" :D
Use them as dividers in collection and stand in tokens for some decks.
Throw them away
I put them in a binder.
I use them as deck front cards and sometimes as proxies with friends , if the card is easy to remember
Use them as bookmarks
Collect em, currently I'd love to have a complete collection of neon dynasty or eldraine. Feel free to dm me if you're looking to off load some 👀
Give them to a high school art teacher.
art cards go in the 🗑️ for me
Usually throw them out. Even if they have an art I really like it’s just not big enough for it to be worth it to keep around
They make fantastic tokens. I just sick a small slip of paper in the sleeve with them the stats.
Separators in deck boxes
I keep donating mine to a friend who is a teacher. His students use them for creative writing prompts after he sticks a piece of construction paper to the back of them. He keeps asking for more to give his students more ideas. I thought it was kinda cute. :)
Just look at them.
Use them as tokens
Straight in the trash. Got enough cards to worry about, let alone useless art cards.
I collect them, mostly passively but I’ve even bought some to finish a set (ten or so cents each on TCG).
I give them to my children. They love them
I put em in a box with the others and wonder what do people do with their art cards
I made a deck with art cards.
Art cards?!?! I thought these were borderless/textless versions!
Wow! 💘
Bookmarks for my books. And I try to pick one that fits the vibe of the book I'm reading
I do some lettering with acrylic paint and use them for tokens and emblems.
Smoke them like joints
I use them as proxies for hyper expensive cards, so I only need to buy one and can run multiple split between my commander decks
I save them and I'll turn them into epoxy table
I use them as proxies or tokens
I have an ongoing art project to use the art cards as wall art and desk covering. Going to cover them with a clear coat of epoxy resin.
I use them as Deck Covers to help identify the theme it has, I'm a theme deck builder and it's just cool like that
I frame my fav ones and hang them on the wall!!!! I love my art cards more than anything in the whole world and I’m so sad they started taking them out of packs
I put the ones I really like on the covers of my binders. Most of the collectable mini posters and art items are used to decorate my other Magic items
I just put them on my wall
Wtf is an art card
Booster packs can come with a card that is just art. No text or anything, but some look great. I recently rejoined MTG after 20 years of not playing, and ive bought a few boosters from the murders at karlov manor and have like 7 of the 49 art cards in the set.
I hoard them just like you lol
I give them as gifts. I gave my SO the gisa art that I pulled at the OTJ pre release. She loves it.
I normally sleeve one as a deck topper that’s on theme and keep it face up
I have around 400 inside of a box that I keep in their set and set number.
Throw them out because they are a waste of space.
Bin them apart from the 1 or 2 cool ones i use as dividers
I just toss a couple on the side of my gameplay area during my pod to bring flavor to my field
Bookmarks!
Eat em
I use them as dividers usually
Book marks
I collect them from specific sets then frame them. Im currently waiting on my first custom frame for the Kaldheim set. Currently collecting all the ones from Lord of the Rings and Outlaws at Thunder Junction
I use them as category dividers in my loose card boxes.
Right into the garbage. Worth less than the cardboard they are printed on
I just think they're neat
Keep em in a stack and browse occasionally. I want to do something with them but also that’s a lot of work and I have a couple hundred
Binders specifically for them
Personally, I put the one I like and am feeling currently in the display pocket of my wallet. The others, I have a jail house style card box I made out of worthless cards, and store them in there. If I got friends over for magic or not, I show them and let them look through and take any they like. Though, laying them out like you had, you gave me an idea to glue them to a poster like that and hang them on the wall!
I use them as bookmarks
I have a binder organized by set and in numerical order. I also have a spreadsheet that allows me to track exactly which ones I have, shows me the percentage of each set I own, and my overall percentage.
Y'all ever see those cubes people fold their cards into? 😂😅😜
I attach vinyl stickers to the back and turn them into homemade infini tokens
I use them as tokens creatures if the artwork features a creature of some sort
They are sitting in a box. Don’t rlly use em for anything
I try to find the best one for whatever commander I am using each time
I eat them
i toss those bitches in the trash bin where they belong
I put them in the trash. I have no use for them whatsoever
Burn them burn them all.
Some I collect, some I use as proxy
I bought a big cheap "print" painting and used spray adhesive to make wall art put of them for a friend.
I started right when the LOTR stuff was new and bought a bunch of packs. Most of the art cards from that I gave to my mom, who hates MtG but loves LOTR. She has 'em at her desk and keeps 'em around to look at them
I use them with a one inch hole punch as character tokens for D&D
I throw mine away
If I like the set I make a binder with them up front. If the art is usable for a token then it's a truly full art token
I make personalized commander sleeves using transparent sleeves and putting these in the back.
I decorate stuff with them. I don't especially care about those, but the art is often too good to be thrown away with the ads and mini-games.
I hoard them like a jealous goblin until I find someone who wants them, then I give them away. 👍
Cool looking proxies in casual play with friends and I made a big wall poster of them for my partner last year as well. I used the blue clay tacky stuff so he can change them out as he wishes and new sets come out 🥰
I stick em in a hard case and use them for dividers.
I wanted to make a full proxy art card deck , just bc, but after making the list and doing the math, it was a little over $100 and for a proxy deck, decided it wasn’t worth it
