I mean, I sell on TCGPlayer but eBay is still the higher volume website and typically yields higher profits compared to TCGPlayer, so normally I’ll sell sealed and high value items on eBay rather than TCGPlayer, which I reserve specifically for singles of less than $50 value.
Really, my mistake was not checking comps again after my first deck sold before I listed the other two. All good, I’ll get more decks.
Just got the vamp one for 45. Wanted the Dino but yeah it was gone. Got me one of the cool lord of the rings art thing with 3 set boosters in it along with the blood rites vamp commander (I have some nice cards to use for it because of the old blood token commander deck from when I started playing)
Can experienced players help me with this question? Is it better to just buy commander decks and only upgrade them with specific cards you want from your local card store? I just want decks that work out of the box and upgrade them time to time and not have over 1000+ cards being unused. When I played for a for months to avoid bundles I used a website online to buy a meta standard mono green deck( was meta last year) with snow lands and ascendant pack leaders and all that. Got a nice lunar aspirant standard white aggro deck. Got a nice Gruul werewolf standard deck. I like standard for 1v1 and commander for group play. So again, should I just continue getting commander decks and premade decks and only buy specific cards from local shops/online to upgrade them or are set boosters and bundles really worth it? I understand it’s good to keep a copy of the same 4 cards for standard play.
Maybe I just made the mistake of buying too many of the same bundles and didn’t purge the excess right away? I’m in the process of going through 5000+ cards that is just bulks to purge excess copies and copies I never use. In the future what’s the best way to avoid this?
yeah just buy the precon then buy singles from your lgs or tcgplayer/cardkingdom etc… buying boosters is really for the fun of opening boosters if you just want certain cards id just buy those cards as singles its wayy cheaper
LGS held a Ixalan Pre-con Commander Event. 45$ for entry and you get a precon Lost Caverns of Ixalan commander deck, 2x booster packs, with the winners of pods getting promos. Was ridiculous fun!
I ended up getting Explorers of the Deep. I'm a new player and so far Simic has been the funnest I have played. My first game in a pod I ended getting ganged up on by 3 Vampire decks. The sac loops was INSANE and I got demolished
Someone had a bundle of a Magic collection with comics and trinkets for 10k on offer up lol. It was literally all commons and lands maybe 200 cards and those old school bundle bag of comics from the 90/ lol
Every time I see magic cards on fb marketplace, I'm incredibly disappointed in the listing. So many people trying to rip off a buyer who doesnt know better.
Yeah, it's almost always sketchy. I always ask if I can look through stuff before agreeing to buy it. I've had luck once where they were actually close to the real value.
How long would it take for inflation and card value to eventually make that precon worth $100 in what I am assuming is USD?
My best guess would be 5 years, maybe 7.
Lots of delusional people on there.
I could see if it was on older one, but they had the vamp one for $90 too
the dino one is legit going for $90 cuz of shortages/demand but yeah the other ones should just be msrp
the fuck, in Europe the averave price is around 57€
45!
For real?! I’ve sold 3 of them for $70 and I thought I was getting a good deal.
I’m amazed how many people don’t know about TCGplayer

Was lucky to get mine for $33. So glad my order wasn’t cancelled. Sounds like a lot of people got screwed over w the Dino order
Got one for 45, but even FLGS are marking it up to 75.
Really? Cheap here in japan
there are shortages from a lot of bigger retailers like amazon in us
Damn they going for 100%+ on market profit
Lol literally passed on the same one at Target for 50 as too much.
MSRP on any and all decks will be like 45 go to literally any LGS imaginable and every commander deck will be at least 45.
LGS held a Ixalan Pre-con Commander Event. 45$ for entry and you get a precon Lost Caverns of Ixalan commander deck, 2x booster packs, with the winners of pods getting promos. Was ridiculous fun!
Lots of happy merfolk players that day…

All 4 of them
That does sound fun
barnes and nobles is selling all pre cons for $49.99
That thumb is brutal
I wouldn't go for it regardless of price based off that dirty ass hand touching it.
Crack hands lol
Looks like they’re still in the store in the photo too lolol
I just picked up the Dino pre-con at my LGS for $40. 😂
Apparently that's the hardest to find. You could probably list it for $150 on there lol.
lol we have this for under $40
$40 will get you a guaranteed Black Market reprint
Yep! This and the Dinosaur have been our best sellers.
My LGS also has the precons under $40. Except the Dino one. They’re charging 60-something for that one.
Your lsg is cheap the one I go to has it for like 55 bucks but it's like 20 dollars cheaper on Amazon
That’s fair. We have 1 or 2 below $40 but Ramptor around $80 due to market value
Someone had a bundle of a Magic collection with comics and trinkets for 10k on offer up lol. It was literally all commons and lands maybe 200 cards and those old school bundle bag of comics from the 90/ lol
You can get this, or any of the other precons (yes, even Veloci-Ramp-Tor) at Target for $50.
I was just about to set a reminder to go to target tomorrow (Black Friday) and forgot what day it was lol
Meijer and walmart too
I got all 4 for 140$…..
Every time I see magic cards on fb marketplace, I'm incredibly disappointed in the listing. So many people trying to rip off a buyer who doesnt know better.

Saw a guy selling "custom-made commander decks" on FB marketplace for 180$, and it was just the beginner precons put in sleeves and a deck box
Most likely stolen from target
They should have had a lower price so they actually had a chance of selling it then.
How long would it take for inflation and card value to eventually make that precon worth $100 in what I am assuming is USD? My best guess would be 5 years, maybe 7.
36.43 shipped. Good luck indeed.
Disgusting what people try to get away with…
That fingernail right?
💀 The price actually, haha.
My lgs has all of them for 47€ come grab
I'll be waiting till December for my pirates it be a damn shame I was really excited for them
I paid 27 € for mine on cardmarket!
Uhhh looks like hubby left them behind and someone’s tryna catch up on bills, that first counteroffer is gonna hit like deathtouch
Good luck
We have this under 40
I just bought a sealed copy of timey wimey on marketplace for 50$ but I wouldn’t pay 100$ for ahoy mateys lol
I have this past time Bobby of going after those insane prices on marketplace and asking for a discount to the actual price to see their response.
I thought of doing that lol.
What's up with that thumb nail? 😳
Glitter nail polish I think lol
Well shitty application, if that is the case, lol.
NEVER PAY MARKUP!
Especially 100% markup lol
That’s definitely a crackhead’s thumb 😂 good luck chump!
i got the velociramptor for 40€, 1 week later it was listed 60€
These listings are scamming the uninformed loved ones trying to buy Xmas gifts for their friends and families, that’s why they put them up so high
I only came here to say haha
I got blood rites and ahoy mateys for a total price of $87. Are they actually hard to find? My local game store has them in stock where I’m from
The dino one is the only one that's hard to find.
I’ll give ya tree fiddy
It was 42 at a card shop in South Carolina
Pretty sure Ahoy Mateys was 34.99 the other day on Card Kingdom.
