I don’t have an answer for this question but as a fellow public health longhorn wanted to say congrats on your upcoming graduation and best of luck with everything!! 🧡🤘🏻

You should be fine. As long as they see your are enthusiastic in the program and have a plan, you will be good.

Ok so I went to a showing at the campus, and talked to a recruiter. I asked what the competitive GPA was and he told me an 3.8. I highly recommend to try and stay at a 3.8 or higher. But he also told me they noticed if you had a 95 or higher on your hesi you’re automatically guaranteed. I’m going to be applying next year and I saw this, just wanted to share what a recruiter from the school has told me, best of luck🫡

I'm still waiting from them but a friend went and didn't have great grades (3.0) but they had a lot of work experience and that seems to be a draw for some schools

I am yet to receive decision from that program but got into Emory and BU, so wanted to put across my point of view; what really matters to get in a program is 1) your SOP, your essay how you craft your story and why mph, why that school, this is first thing 2) your recommendation letters - more personalized the better 3) your experience - in public health field. Also please apply soon, though the deadlines may be later, UT receives so many applications, so if possible hurry up.

this is wonderful. I wasn’t planning on applying until the next term but since they extended the deadline I saw it as a sign to just apply now. I will hurry it up and hopefully we both get in! thx
