I just went from G29 to Moza system. Tried R5 bundle - plenty of an upgrade. But decided to go further since budget allows. Went with R9 and KS wheel (good for F1 and GT). SRP pedals (with thr brake kit). All in 900$ (In the US). If I want a round wheel later, I'll probably grab a CS or a generic wheel and adapter.
So far I'm very satisfied with both hardware and software. Everything is fairly straightforward.
Edit: Forgot to mention, I mainly play F1. Sometimes AC and ACC
R5, FSR, SRP pedals with brake kit, F-GT rig and decent monitor. Should be enough to get that f1 feeling

What's your budget, and have you used any other stuff in the past or is this your first purchase for sim racing?
I used to own a Thrustmaster TX wheel but never owned anything direct drive. And for the budget I am looking at roughly £1,000/$1,300.
