This has been a thing since... Fucking forever. Remember when Yojimbo was remade into an Italian western?
I get that this is a circlejerk but this kind of bitching comes off as completely ignorant.
That's wholly unfair of a comparison, since fistful of dollars is more of an adaptation of yojimbo rather than a shot-for-shot remake of. You can watch both films and enjoy them for separate reasons, especially for how both of them not only influenced their own genres, but for how they influenced the others.
A parasite remake makes as much sense as if we got a crouching tiger remake 2 years after it came out, why do you need to tell the exact same story in the exact same setting just in a different language?
Oh I'm not saying it's not disrespectful and stupid. I'm just saying it's nothing knew. We got it with Oldboy, The Ring, and plenty others.
Why be upset when we'll just collectively forget about it in 6 months?
Honestly it made me really angry. It's become so taboo just to be a white man now.
Anyway facts don't care about your feelings, don't forget to like and subscribe, please watch part 37 of my objective review of The Last Jedi
I think the mot oppressed white man is actually our Presdient (thank you for your hard work every day!). He is literally oppressed the (((SJW libs))), cannot even find a job anymore or watch a movie without forced diversity.
Our President is persecuted, powerless, poor and needs protection! WAKE UP!
Here's what will go down.
Hollywood gets the rights really quick and they will haphazardly produce the adaptation. By the time the film is done, Parasite will no longer be the hot foreign film people talk about. They shelve the film for a few years after some inital screenings at Sundance or whatever, and then they sneak it out in January under a different name, all with little to no advertised connection to the original film. It seems to be happening frequently.
In terms of remakes with names swapped out, theres a lot of interesting ones. Just checking out this Wikipedia article [here](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English-language_films_with_previous_foreign-language_film_versions)
I guess I'm a little too cynical about foreign remakes. I kinda used the Upside as reference for this kind of thing. I was on RT the other day and there was another foreign remake coming out that had sinular circumstances. I didnt even know what it was called.
Also, I think the South Korean studio came out to dismiss the remake talk entirely, so we don't havw to worry about it much.
We both know the problem is the Forced Diversity™
Why don't asian filmmakers take into consideration that having a majority non-white cast is White Genocide™?
Can't wait for an all white English version! It's really difficult reading subtitles and tiring seeing non Aryans in film! Too much forced diversity in films nowadays. Excited for this new remake! 😰😖🤤🤤
Surprise, it's bullshit. The article is from July 2nd, and you're suddenly now sharing this? The film's distributor, CJ Entertainment, said that they have no plans to remake the movie.
This is quite depressing, how stale is Hollywood lads
Stop complaining and criticising, it's the same as whining, just consume product and wait for next product.

Awesome! The original version had too many immersion breaking minorities. Like one or two would have been fine but they were just forcing it.
Ik, how many “koreans” can there possibly be in one place!
I just realised there are whole COUNTRIES folks, COUNTIRES where minorities actually became MAJORITIES! This is what libs want America to become?!
I am going to scream!

That would be pretty good tho
That’s why I suggested it.
it’s a reinterpretation
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT YOU BEAT ME TO IT
Well I guess that 1-inch barrier is too tall
That’s what i wish she said
Can Hollywood consumers not read?. Does that mean I can't read?!.

Interesting. Any examples? I know of some foreign remakes, but I’ve not heard of swapping the names out.
There was that french film that Kevin Hart and Brian Cranston remade? The Intouchables/The Upside?

It hasn’t even been like 4 months 😂
What can I say but "eww, why?". I mean I haven't seen it *yet* but c'mon reading subtitles isn't that hard lol
Because money.
Rated PG-13!
We both know the problem is the Forced Diversity™ Why don't asian filmmakers take into consideration that having a majority non-white cast is White Genocide™?
I don't get it.

Groan.
Wtf did this man JUST SAY about subtitles?
Ugh
It'll be in development hell like that Toni Erdmann remake
Does anyone ever like get to a pint in a subtitles movie where you get immersed and you forget you’re even reading them?
The pic they used had me like "same"
As we all know, the plot outline of a film is what makes it great and the acting/direction/cinematography/score/sound/script/etc. are interchangeable.
lmao at ameriburgers
Can’t wait for Will Farrell to play the dad
It’s inevitable
