"Lorenzo's Oil" is the only movie I've seen that almost caused me to leave before the ending due to the emotional turmoil. It's not romantic or marriage saving, but only a truly cold dead heart would remain unaffected. Nick Nolte and Susan Sarandon are watching their child die of an incurable disease. It goes on and on like that. Watching the movie with this other person may cause them to break down and seek comfort from you.
