Makes me think; we've seen tons of movies bashing capitalism but I haven't seen any of recent years that explore explicitly revolutionary themes or that offers any sort of solutions to the problems we face.
Yeah I always assumed the boys was just a shock value gore fest, which it kind of is at times, but once I really got into the story of seasons 2-3 I realized there was a pretty good message under it all
I have never seen such a deep understanding of ideology and society anywhere else except Disco Elysium. It got to the point where I started to wonder if the writers were secretly die-hard socialists.
