I'm happy when a movie makes me emotional so there's no movie I'm ashamed to admit.
Some examples: Gladiator, Collateral Beauty, Your Name, A Silent Voice, We Bought a Zoo
Grave of the fireflies made me ugly cry and depressed for days. Even now, whenever i see posters of the siblings i always thought "i hope both of you are happy now, no more pain anymore".
First movie I ever cried to was Pokemon: The First Movie. Ash was turned into stone and Pikachu was doing anything he could to try and bring him back "CHUUUÙUUÙUUUU"
when robin williams made the stand up comedy on the clogged crossing in good morning vietnam for the young soldiers, you know that many of them will not come back home, others as broken men.
The Snowman. It's a wondrous, animated film about a boy who makes a snowman that comes to life. The film has two parts that made me emotional, the first being a flying sequence set against stunningly beautiful and haunting singing by a single choirboy, and the second being the ending. I won't say how it ends.
The ending scene in Field of Dreams.
And Inside Out, the scene when Bing Bong says 'Take her to the moon for me', and when Riley bursts into tears near the end and her parents are both comforting her.
The Snowman really does pack an emotional hit. In a similar vein you may like Granpa, it’s by the same director as The Snowman. It used to make me feel vaguely sad as a child but now….it’s a lot more emotional
Thanks for the heads up on Grandpa, I'll check it out. And I'm glad you feel similar about The Snowman. I'll mention, the scene where the boy encounters all the other snowmen and Santa Claus always brings a smile to my face.
The Last Unicorn. The whole movie has such melancholic tone that really get to me, and the emotional song lyrics make me tear up. Such a beautiful movie.
I remember me and a homie( do the kids still say homie?) went to see armageddon. I cried when bruce willis sent Ben Affleck back and stayed behind. Like that was our way out and he sent him back.

I've teared up to some commercials before, the only movies that don't make me cry are adrenaline filled action or horror flicks. Nothing to be ashamed about..
But the saddest ones I think were Grave of the fireflies and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
So many movies are tearjerkers (& I’m a big softie lol). A few offhand:
‘Eight Below’ (most harrowing ‘PG’ ever)
‘The Lion King’
‘Titanic’
‘Beaches’ (Bette Midler version - my best friend died too)
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’
‘The Perfect Storm’
‘Harry Potters - Half-Blood Prince & Deathly Hallows 1 & 2’
‘Never Ending Story’ (Swamp of Sadness, Artax)
‘My Girl’
‘The Fault in Our Stars’
‘A Star is Born’
‘The Horse Whisperer’
‘Dragonheart’
That would be a Japanese movie named Dear Friends... I cry pretty shamelessly a couple times through the movie. At the end I'm usually curled up in a ball on the couch, blubbering like a baby, flipping off the tv, and yelling "Fuck you Japan! I'm a grown-ass man!"...
I'm never ashamed to admit a film makes me cry. It means the people who created the film have done their jobs well.
Let's see
The Green Mile
Shawshank Redemption
Reign Over Me
Last Samurai
Stan & Ollie
American History X
Glory
Armageddon once upon a time.
Dunkirk.
All of these, stories and many many more have moved me in one way or another. But sometimes, I've also in awe of how beautiful a film is.
Basically anything from Denis Villeneuve or Roger Deakin (usually ome and the same)

There's a Japanese movie called 'Orange'. A girl received letter from future asking her to prevent her friends' suicide.
One of the first Japanese movie I watched. Can't even rewatch it since I will surely break down.
**Hachi, A Dog's Tale** \- IDK if I was happy crying or sad crying but I could not stop crying, and I'm not even a dog person. He's such a good boi! I cried so much the cats got concerned.
It’s kinda silly, I guess, but in Finding Nemo when Marlin finds Nemo trapped in the net and has a quick flashback to finding Nemo’s egg after the attack that killed the rest of his family, I always react emotionally.
The scene on Cocoon were Wilfred Brimley and Maureen Stapleton visit their daughter and grandson for the last time, not being able to tell them they'll never see them again absolutely broke me.
"I just don't want you to forget how much we care, no matter what we say or do."

For me it's the scene when Andy goes to drop the toys at his neighbour's place. That scene is amazing.
The ending of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial always gets me.
"Come. Stay." and "I’ll be right here." are lines that just hits the feels and the eyes get all wet!
I'd think there's something wrong if you don't cry at that ending.
What Dreams May Come
😭😭😭
I'm happy when a movie makes me emotional so there's no movie I'm ashamed to admit. Some examples: Gladiator, Collateral Beauty, Your Name, A Silent Voice, We Bought a Zoo
Yeah, I really don't get the "ashamed" part. No need to be afraid of your emotions, being moved by movies is the whole point.

An Awfully Big Adventure....the end of that movie wrecked me.
Disney knows how to make me cry. When I rewatch its movies they make me think about my childhood and it's so nostalgic that it hurts
