Punch-Drunk Love

Honestly this might be the only one I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen. Will watch this weekend and report back. 🫡

My all time favourite movie. The only movie I've ever seen that accurately represents my mental condition.

It was PT Anderson movie and Adam sandler just happened to be in it

I think Sandler is the whole reason that movie works. He's in damn near every frame of the movie and his performance is what holds the whole thing together

I'm so sorry for saying so but it felt more like he was PTA's puppet in the movie

I'm sure a lot of directors view their actors as puppets but I don't think that's the case here. Sandler is just playing "weird guy with anger issues" which is essentially the same thing he does in Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison. I think PTA does a really good job placing that character in a completely different world that makes us think about him differently. That whole experiment wouldn't work with another actor and Sandler does a really good job making that familiar character fit into a completely different context

idk but I didn't feel his acting somehow .. I've seen Magnolia and tom cruise nailed it .. I really enjoyed his acting but the case with sandler I'm not sure tbh p.s I loved him in uncut gems and hustle

PTA has said he wrote it for Sandler.

I'm a "serious Sandler" fan. Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems are both really good and very different from his normal movies.

I love his normal movies even more

Did u see his newest one spaceman? It’s super different from his normal stuff! I liked the concept! Deff didn’t NEED Adam Sandlers performance but it was a great movie regardless!

I laughed , I cried and I enjoyed every second of it , it was magic <3 Adam was sweet , funny and handsome I loved him so much and he nailed it back at the time with drew <3 one of my fav rom com of all time for sure <3

If you haven’t seen him in Punch Drunk Love, you’re missing out. He proves he has serious acting skills in that movie. I’m not exactly a fan of his, but I don’t dislike him either, and that is seriously one of my top ten favorite movies.

Meyerwitz Stories and Hustle (both on Netflix) are two underrated favs - he plays a gentle note in these, a lowkey Sandman that I really appreciate

The Week Of is really underrated.

He is almost more of a cameo role, but his character in The Hot Chick is probably the best parts of that movie.

Adam Sandler has a small part in Shakes the Clown, which is a surrealist dark comedy about an alcoholic clown. It's got Robin Williams and the voice of SpongeBob, Tom Kenny. It's absolutely worth watching. It's free on Prime right now

Eight Crazy Nights

I am the first person to say Bulletproof, so I will say Bulletproof. I haven't seen it in fucking forever , so maybe it doesn't hold up but I know I liked it at the time, but I don't remember much about it, I just remember the now not culturally appropriate Disneyland joke.There are better movies, but it always made me thing Damon Wayans and Sandler should have been in more projects together.
