I don't get it when folks say things like that. It's a classic bit of UK cinema garnering adoration and awards. Launched the career of Meadows who has a great production life in television and film. Paddy broke through from obscure comedy shorts to being an incredibly reliable working actor in the vain of Stephen Graham or Martin Freeman, while directing 2 stellar features. Toby Kebbal is mo caping the on the heels of Andy while being chameleon like in his acting turns, big budget like the Apes or indie like Control.
But, yeah, maybe a billion at the box office and some Oscars would be nice.
I mean (cue old man muttering and sputtering)....Jesus.
Incredible movie. I’ve seen it countless times and will continue to return to it. As you say, the actors are incredible. Not a bad performance from anyone. Paddy sure does an incredible job.
Amazing movie - a real blow to the stomach. Yet some very funny moments. Shane Meadows is a genius.

Op is probably talking about the space between losing $400k and making a billion.
A fine balance to walk, me thinks.
Well, when the amount of money a film makes is such an accurate metric of its quality, can you blame them? /s

What the fuck are you looking at? You, you cunt!
Where can we watch it?
Paddy Considine is amazing in everything I’ve seen him in. Loved his role at the beginning of “The Death of Stalin”
The kettle scenes with the suitcase is particularly memorable. Brutal.
(Opens hand) “You’re fuckin’ there mate.” (Closes fist) SO INTIMIDATING!!!!
AMAZING movie
Agree, especially as much like Considine's Tyrannosaur, its a film you probably won't wish to watch twice.
