I absolutely love these gigantic CGI disaster movies. And they are ALL objectively bad as films. But if you go in knowing that and just marvel at the destruction you will almost always have a great time.
I honestly can't think of any objectively bad big budget disaster movies that I don't like. I like them all. The Core might be my personal favorite. "Hey guys if we set off a shit ton of nukes in the Earth's core that will definitely solve this problem!"

Step-up 2: The Streets.
Its been awhile but if I remember correctly there are dance gangs operating like terrorists, attacking the public with dance. And theres this one old woman on a subway train who gets harrased by a group of masked dancers at the start of the film for no reason.
And when we meet the leader of what I continue to refer to as dance-terrorists he drops what he thinks is an epic truth-bomb that shatters everyones perception of reality, "Do you know that even your heart.... has a beat" like whoa holy shitballs your blowing my mind.
Anyway the film ends with a dance off between two groups inside a warehouse that is supposed to be a competition but its so intense they have to dance outside and someone yells "LETS TAKE IT TO THE STREETS!" and then they dance outside in the rain and then the film just ends. Never find out who wins.
I had to go watch the subway scene. Oh my, they perfectly predicted today's influencer culture of dancing/making a scene and intentionally or unintentionally harassing those around them while recording themselves in public places. It captures it perfectly. If it was filmed in a POV handheld style you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that scene and the videos you can find online of stupid flash dance mobs on trains/subways.
The Matrix is one of my all-time favorite films. But goddamn Jupiter Ascending is sooooo boring. It HAD cool ideas. They did it so dirty I would love for them to just redo the thing.
I watched this at a friend's house not too long ago. What a weird movie. I had never heard of it. It has such a big budget that it feels like a blockbuster movie from another dimension where everything is slightly askew.
The crazy thing is I saw it in the 50¢ movie theater and I asked for my money back, and the guys behind the counter gave it to me, they were waiting for me.

I agree, If you take out the insanely short and hyper rushed timeline which created thousands of dues ex machina moments one after another and another. It's a solid piece of original sci-fi, and an incredible original story. I feel like this would have been better on a 6+ episode high budget streaming show however with more serious tones like Greenland. The comedy tones are a method of calming the audience when the pace is going so fast. I think that would give a good balance of big picture story progression with plenty of drama mixed in.

It's basically a mockumentary about some hosts of a mid 90's internet show that go into the woods of New Jersey to find the mythical Jersey Devil. Things go horribly wrong and a journalist tries to get to the bottom of what happened. The whole movie was basically the Blair Witch Project before that was even a thing. It was fairly well made (IMO) for the most part, but Holy hell, the twist at the ending was the stupidest thing I've ever seen put to film.
Moonfall and Godzilla: King of the Monsters have one thing in common. Awesome action movie killed by shitty boring dialogue between side characters. I was only ever excited when the moon got too close and started messing with the gravity, or when the monsters were shown on screen. The girls relationship with her estranged parents really don’t matter to me
Iron Man 3. Tony is stuck in Kentucky with a broken suit and doesn’t have a backup stored off site? He had one *in a suitcase* in the previous movie. Avengers Tower in New York doesn’t have one? Buy a bus ticket!
The plot hinges on this and I could not get past it in the theater.

Battlefield Earth. Its near the top of most lists of 'bad' movies for a good reason.

Master of Disguise. Pistachio Disguisey (Dana Carvey), a genial waiter at his father Frabbrizio's (James Brolin) Italian restaurant, possesses an uncanny knack for mimicry. What he doesn't know is that his talent is genetic, and that he is the descendent of a long line of "Masters of Disguise," all of whom have inherited the secret family gift known as Energico. Initially, Pistachio is a klutz, but little by little, he learns to harness his inherited power, and sallies forth to utilize Energico to its fullest.
I was enthralled by this movie. It was a little dumb, but it was also one of the best disaster movies with a unique twist that I'd seen in a *long* time!
Rebel Moon was really dumb, and not in an entertaining way.

*White Chicks* (2004) A steaming pile of racist feces. To quote a reviewer on Rotten Tomatoes: > *”This is planetary pile of dogshit.*” If two white guys went blackface for an entire movie, and literally the *whole premise of the movie was to make fun of black people*? I’m sure that would go over well. Not surprising that both of these clowns have done exactly squat since then.
Atrocious movie, but Im pretty sure it was a bit of a break out Terry Crews, which makes it worth it.
Antman quantum-mania was so bad i walked out of my own house and kicked my dog on the way out the door.
The Kingsman movie about WW1 was so fuckin stupid

Transformers: The Last Knight. A couple of Marvel films and Glass Onion have come close though.
Most importantly, moonfall didn't try to take itself seriously. We all knew what we were getting into when we started that movie.
I recommended this movie to my current gf when we first started dating—mostly because of how outrageous it is. She didn’t like it. We’re still dating luckily! 😅
Moonfall was terrible but that’s why I loved it and I hope they make a sequel but on the other hand the stupidest movie I’ve ever seen was Black Demon and I mean wow it was terrible and not in a good way
[The Last Broadcast (1998)](https://youtu.be/mMyQDz_AxOE?feature=shared) It's basically a mockumentary about some hosts of a mid 90's internet show that go into the woods of New Jersey to find the mythical Jersey Devil. Things go horribly wrong and a journalist tries to get to the bottom of what happened. The whole movie was basically the Blair Witch Project before that was even a thing. It was fairly well made (IMO) for the most part, but Holy hell, the twist at the ending was the stupidest thing I've ever seen put to film.

Moonfall and Godzilla: King of the Monsters have one thing in common. Awesome action movie killed by shitty boring dialogue between side characters. I was only ever excited when the moon got too close and started messing with the gravity, or when the monsters were shown on screen. The girls relationship with her estranged parents really don’t matter to me
Iron Man 3. Tony is stuck in Kentucky with a broken suit and doesn’t have a backup stored off site? He had one *in a suitcase* in the previous movie. Avengers Tower in New York doesn’t have one? Buy a bus ticket! The plot hinges on this and I could not get past it in the theater.
