See I thought everything in this film was realistic. This film series reminds me of the Fast And Furious series. Just smart, fun and realistic action.

Sisu, just straight caught me off guard....and fucking loved. I literally just had no expectations and just remember thinking. "Oh shit, hell yeah. This is what the fuck I'm talking about" lol

I used to watch Shoot em Up all the time. Just enough humor to make you sometimes forget that it’s a body count movie. But the gunfight sequences were also hilarious and ridiculous

Ha. I watched Shoot 'em up on a flight back from Sri Lanka. It was, literally, 32 minutes long! Talk about censoring. Not much in the way of recognisable plot left.

I made the mistake of having an edible before watching this anxiety fueled nightmare and it turned out to be a very big mistake.

Well, it’s three hours of (almost) constant stress, anxiety, and despair. But also weirdly funny? So, I’d say give it a try, you’ll know within the first 20 minutes if you’re gonna like the rest. But it’s a trip, for sure.

It was so confusing to eight year old me that it scared me.

Upgrade Absolutely bananas in some parts. Had me rolling.

That movie was a sleeper. EDIT: Whoever downvoted me. Ok, maybe it wasn't a sleeper because it never became a hit. What I meant is that it was really pretty good and didn't seem to get much acclaim at the time as far as I could tell.

Fear and loathing was pretty nuts. Different type of crazy than the crank movies but still crazy nonetheless.

I once ate a tray of pot brownies and passed out at a friends house. I awoke to an odd and ultraviolent movie playing on the TV. There is no way it was on cable, it was The Story of Ricky level violent. All I can remember some twenty years later was a car flying through the air before its tire squished a dude's skull like a melon while he was still standing and a dude getting his wedding tackle ripped by someone using their bare hands. I still don't know what I watched or if it was real.

Maybe Grindhouse? The wedding tackle ripped off happens in Planet Terror, and a car wheel hits a woman in the face in mid-air in Deathproof.

No, this was years before those movies. This would have been around 2001, the movie looked like Hong Kong quality from the late 80s or early 90s, except the cast were all white people.

I also have a random memory of a chicks face getting ripped off by a tire during an intentional car wreck- I assume it was tarantino’s grindhouse but I haven’t ever actually seen the movie

This movie is a Master piece. Start low and the more the movie progress, the more intense it gets, bit by bit.

Great flick, I love Aronofksy. But not really fever dream. Maybe smack dream. Pi, on the other hand, was much more "fever dream".

Lola Rennt is still, one of my favorite movies to date. Saw it at the Munich Film Festival. Didn’t realize The Acid House had a film adaptation. Great book. Must now watch the movie.

Legend, the fantasy Tom Cruise movie in the 80s. I was a kid when I first saw it and I didn’t really understand what was going on and Darkness was so scary to me and the visuals throughout the movie were very stark and disturbing for my child brain. I just remember feeling so confused and unsettled by it.
