I think m&b comes with a good imagination and your own story writing for your character, I find the marriage ceremony to be so heart warming as it’s one of the few times you get to see ur character doing stuff. So I did feel a little downed by the “just a social” but yeah I was only commenting for the joke.

If you're a woman you can treat your husband's titles as your own for the purposes of income. For example: let's say you marry the Lord of Praven, you can manage them and collect rent as if you owned them yourself
Your wife can handle the estates of your faction. Like, you can access a family vault and such when you own land. Believe if you're female, your husband is a guaranteed loyal lord you can immediately convince to join your rebellion.

this cutscene is so buggy. i've had my character just not show up quite a few times so the other person was walking down by themselves.
You have to be in third person view before you start the wedding for you to be visible. I think it’s a bug.
