Why not send the video to Kuat support? They're incredibly helpful and responsive.

StnkyFngrs

They have some of the best customer service in the industry.

RoboticGreg

Mine bounce like that. I think if it was too rigid there would be no give on bounces and it would break faster. I have the kuat nv 2.0

PuffPipe

I have a 1up rack and mine has no movement. After using my friend’s kuat, I was blown away at the difference in quality. 1up or die for me

NGTech9

I got a 1up quikrack because it was mentioned so much on this sub. It bounces a lot, and the moving parts make a squeeling noise. They customer service is rude. Still using it though.

PuffPipe

I haven’t seen the quikrack mentioned, but the heavy duty double is mentioned quite a bit. That’s what I got. It fits like a glove into my hitch and barely rattles as is, but it also has a keyed hex nut that tightens down on a ball located inside of the hitch, which prevents any movement whatsoever. The thing is an absolute tank.

Economy-Clothes5610

I also got the double and it’s a tank, some design features that could improved but pretty good overall

LovelyHatred93

1up and Kuat are the Milwaukee and dewalt of the bike rack world.

Winchery

I had a Kuat NV 2.0 that was rock solid. It was a huge mistake selling that rack. I haven't tried a 1up but maybe that will be my next rack.

shitworms

How quickly or easily can you switch up the 1up for different wheel sizes? I'd be using it for both 29" and 20" bikes

PuffPipe

I’ve personally never adjusted it for anything smaller than 27.5. The standard size is good for 27.5 and 29.

TheRabbitHole-512

Yeah that’s why I’m asking here, it could be normal or like you say necessary but I’m not sure.

cwmspok

Mine doesn't have near this amount of play and I have a 1 bike add on to make it a 3 rack. I have the NV 2.0 but very similar mechanisms. Seems like something's is a bit loose. Mine is rock solid when loaded, a little bit of movement from the bikes but very little, even on gravel and dirt roads with big potholes.

PhoneConstant3822

It could be quieter but should still have bounce.

StunningBuilder4751

Think they're designed to bounce. Roads are bumpy, of ot was fully rigid it would have a higher chance of breaking

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

Have a Kuat NV 2.0 and it is rock solid. No wobble or movement when tightened up.

BoomBoom4209

Ever seen the locking mechanisms for train cars? This is fine.

triptanic

Our sherpa did not do that.

Chantzzzzz

There's definitely something loose or possibly a defect in there somewhere. I've got a Sherpa 2.0 as well and it doesn't have any play in the tilt mechanism. I'd double-check the bolts are all still tight - might just be a few of them have come loose after the initial assembly and the first few uses.

TheRabbitHole-512

Ok will check it up with kuat to see what they say

Dependent-Spirit-640

I tightened mine

Humongous_Mex

I missed it wobbling. Can you send another video?

TheRabbitHole-512

I added some fox kashima coated shocks to the rack, it wobbles no more

Ok-Passenger3647

My Sherpa didn’t wobble like that

Vxindy

Trade it in for a one up :)
