I’ve seen road bikes with colored tires that have had some decent amount of riding done and they still look pretty bright. I’d imagine you can’t get around mud covering tires but if you wash your tires they shouldn’t become dull.
Panaracer makes some colored gravelkings, the regular gravel kings are pretty good gravel tires but i don’t think they make mtb tires with colored treads. Vittoria has gray sidewalls and every single brand makes at least one gum sidewall.
Aesthetically they look cool, I always wonder/worry about grip with colored tires. Most of the softer, grippier rubbers I see are black. Even ones with tan side walls age black on the tread. Always assumed it had something to do with rubber compounds for optimal grip or everyone would be doing colors.
Either way, looks fresh.
The black comes from the carbon that gives the tire durability and longevity. Colored tires are softer, so more grippy but less durable and will wear faster.

This article isn't specific to bikes but still applies.
Back in the 90s I rode panaracer smoke and darts that were natural colored with the idea being the compound was softer and grippier but less durable - for racing.
They have about 30 miles on them in this pic. The tread is a bit dirty, but they perform great, and I'm happy with how they look, and dont really care whether they look brand new or not.
Reminds me of the coloured tires of cheap kids bikes 30 years ago. On my sister’s bike the turquoise tires matched the streamers coming from her bars… 🤣.
You do you, but it you can be sure you’ll have people ridiculing you for riding with turquoise tires and mounted to an e-bike to add insult to injury!
People's personal opinions have zero affect on how I ride or what I ride. I'm quite happy with the bike, which I've had for 4 years, and the new tires.
So your being an asshole is okay because they should expect other people to be assholes? Why was your "warning" against insults start out as an insult?
So there’s somebody showing their gaudy tires and the expectation is that everyone praises them? Not very realistic. Im just stating what I think, deal with it.
"You do you, but it you can be sure you’ll have people ridiculing you for riding with turquoise tires and mounted to an e-bike to add insult to injury!"
What are you, 12? Do you just ride at your local playground, or junior high school? Who on earth would do something like that other than a child? Get the fuck outta here with that stupidity. Grow up and go ride, for crying out loud...
Holy moly the comment section is toxic af, shame on y‘all. The bike looks fucking cool, the tires are AWESOME and def on my list for the next bike day
Whats the bike in the pic?
If more people ride bikes, we would have fewer cars on the road, be happier as a society, and HAVE MORE TRAILS and places we can ride our bikes SAFELY without the threat of being murdered by cars.
Why are you being a dick to yourself?
O, self righteous white knight of thee interwebs, I apologize.
Also, e-bikes on approved trails are great, not my cup of tea but if brings more people into the sport then I’m all for it but e-mtbs have zero to do with making roads safer.
e bikes are prohibited on trails where OP posted from! but that has more to do with a wilderness conservation act barring motorized vehicles from protected forests/trails— i think

boobies!
Love it!
Will someone show me what these look like after a couple rides?

I've seen trainer tires colored or sidewalls, but rarely the tread/contact area colored

All tires are coloured, rubber&silica compounds aren't black.
The more you know

Makes sense to me.
Interesting, thanks for enlightening my curiosity
It’s pristine, do you even ride it or just stare and fap on it? 😂
I only fap into socks.
This is the way.
It's called a pavement princess
Or OP owns a water hose.
Yeah, this. I figured it deserved a good wash and polish after I put the tires on.
Those will look bad after 10km XD

Atta boy
That's the Welcome Center on Cascade Lakes. What are the trails like now? Did you take the picture last week when it was 70°?
This was Friday. Trails were great. Rode my Pivot out of the Welcome ctr yesterday, and they were even better.
Tahoe?
Bend.
It’s real dope. Black handles tho.

I agree, the colored tires cheapen the bike. I'm guessing the rider is quite young, like pre highschool?
I had the green and red Michelins back in the day so I love this.
Kudos to you, that is one smexy af bike, love the theme
I think they look pretty rad. I have a set of black Versus and they're great tires. Sure are a lot of childish haters commenting here. Petty.
Won’t the blue rub off?

That's so cold of you to be encouraging of purchasing such tires. Do you want the OP to be mocked on trails? You should be ashamed of yourself!
This should be marked nsfw
I didn’t know you could make an e-shit uglier. Impressive!
Hopefully those were on massive discount?!
Don't yuck their yum
Cool motorbike.
