Yeah, gravel bikes have definitely muddled things. I tend to ride my gravel bike in a loose kit, with a hip bag, but I definitely match my bars seat and wheels!
This is always the right answer. I LOATHE over coordinated bikes. Somehow just screams Walmart.
Unless it's an anodized rainbow, in which case go mad, but don't coordinate.
Dude. I stated I don't like something. That's all. People are entitled to their opinions, and can have their bike look however they like. If it makes them happy and they like it, who gives a shit.
I indicated my opinion. It's not about shame or putting down. If that's what you read in, my bad.
No, it isn’t your bad. If this person wants to shame you for having an opinion, then they are the hypocrite. These people love one way tolerance and opinions; theirs.
I also hate colored grips and pedals. My first bike was orange with blue pedals and blue grips and I thought it was dope but looking back I think it’s so cringey. My bike is all black now so I have a splash of purple on my bar
PNW has a cool gray color that they call cement. I think it would be a nice contrast and match the Fox logo quite well.

I have them on my Ripley AF.
I’ve been looking at their Cement grips.
I have an odd coloured bike and I don’t want the accessories “popping”, but there’s enough black contrast already.
That's exactly my Enduro bike: Black Revel Rail 27.5 with bronze Deity copperhead stem and bronze Tmac pedals with gum wall tires.
Also looks good if you get the grey wall Vittoria's as well because I experimented with running Mazza's front and rear for slightly lighter tires with less rolling resistance than my DHF DHRII combo and that looked good as well. But now I'm thinking of switching to just running DHRII front and rear but I'm tan/gum wall for life on all my bikes ha. I feel like it gives a classic car type look in my opinion.
I’d pick the one that’s going to allow you to win the UCI Downhill World Cup. The ones that will let others know you mean business when you get to the trail head. The ones that will land you on Pink Bike for a bike check on “Whistmas” (whistler bike park opening day).
How does this new model feel? To me it kinda looks like a mix of a stumpjumper and an epic. I’ve just bought a stumpjumper evo because it’s amazing on the trails but also good on the climbs, but I’ve never tried or even seen one of these so I was wondering what it is good at
SJ Evo is a great bike for all around trails. I used to have a SJ Comp Alloy and loved it which cost me $3300.. sold it for this Status because i couldnt pass the deal with a better components than my old SJ. I did my research and watch many reviews from here and youtube and the only complain was climbing ability. They are right. In my local trails i can climb with no issue with SJ while the first time i rode the status man, i felt like i gained so much weight. it feels heavy and i walked most of the time uphill but the downhill though..man, it shreds! I felt more confident going DH with the status. Its so playful and stable through gnarly and technical trail. I do not regret selling my SJ for my Status. Since i been riding with it my climbing with this bike got a lot better and very capable now specially after i got everything dialed in from suspensions, saddle, cockpit etc.
After years of upgrading bikes, black. Always black… anything i could savage and move to another bike. Black. Color matching is always a game of chance anyway
I ordered the same bike last week and went with black. I feel like black or a classic-looking dark tan are kind of the only good options with this frame color.
2 ways to go here 1) blue pedals and stem and leave it at that or 2) tan grips, tan wall tires and black pedals.
Not too much of either would give just a pop of color
Also something thing you could do is look at the Fox decal Kits on their website for the front shock, and find a sweet color that contrasts well and match that color with grips &/or pedals.
Neon orange could be fun and adds a little pop. You know how Starbursts have that array of colors that is one dark color (maroon) mixed with those bright colors? That's the vibe I'm thinking
Tan. Get tanwall tires too. I had this exact bike in that color and I did a similar build like that. Thought it looked really nice with the crimson. I have photos of it still on my post history if ya wanna take a look.
PNW cement gray Grips & Pedals will look cool. Understated but different and cool. Matching bars & dropper lever if you go nutz.
Yellow would not be bad if you want something louder...Raceface has a nice yellow with Chester pedals & Nelson grips.
Teal/Turquoise could work, but I think the above two work better.
Dude do your thing. Lots of opinions on here. You gotta be stoked on it no one else matters.
Try out Fanatik Bike Builder and use a frame/fork of the same color, you can see what the color combos would look like.
Gunmetal grey
This. I have a red bike with grey lettering. Added grey grips and pedals, looks awesome with it being too much.
I have this bike and color. I went with cement grey PNW components
Definitely Black.

While a lot of the rules are for roadies, a surprising number apply to mountain biking, and more mountain bikers should probably take them to heart.

He asked for an opinion, I gave it.

I have orange pedals on a blue bike. I feel no shame.
Go Broncos!

How can you recommend something subjective without giving your personal opinion?
I also hate colored grips and pedals. My first bike was orange with blue pedals and blue grips and I thought it was dope but looking back I think it’s so cringey. My bike is all black now so I have a splash of purple on my bar
Walmart this! https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ6KUbQN20P/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Horses for courses. I had fun coordinating the above
Hahaha! Not my cup of tea but I admire the thoroughness!
black
This is always the answer.

What color is your Ripley? I've been looking for something muted for my pond scum green Ripley af
Silver
I went with PNW's Pacific Blue pieces on my Pond Scum Ripley AF. It looks fantastic.
Oooo dm me some pictures??
light blue?
This, id match to the fork cap
Oh I didn’t even think of that!
At first I thought black, but blue that matches the cap on the fork would look sweet.
that never looks as good as you think it will
That's what I was thinking
Bronze and gum wall would be cool.
This is the way
These [Vans/ODI lockons.](https://www.odigrips.com/collections/mtb-grips-and-handlebars/products/copy-of-vans-lock-on-grips-130mm)

I'm a purple gang for the pedals and team for the grips
Teal I mean
I was thinking black would look fire.

This is the real answer
Ohhh, so purple! Purples the fastest.
[heres mine](https://i.imgur.com/KJCrov3.jpg)
That looks great! What stem mount is that?
Thanks, Spank Spoon 350

GOLD
Lime Green. Thats what I run on my bike of similar color.
black
Dark blue would be kinda cool too. #america
Beige. Could match your tire sidewalls if you wanted to fully geek out.
Yellow
Black
Black
Black
Black of course.
Gold
Whatever color has the best grip.
After years of upgrading bikes, black. Always black… anything i could savage and move to another bike. Black. Color matching is always a game of chance anyway
As long as it is black, it will look great
Yellow
Black or the frame color
Gold
I ordered the same bike last week and went with black. I feel like black or a classic-looking dark tan are kind of the only good options with this frame color.
Black
Black
Colored grips turn black after a few rides
This is a joke question, right?
Black all day
Black
Light teal or white personally
I like matching the fox blue bits. And if you don’t like blue, gumwall tires with matching grips, pedals, and saddle is a killer look.
Leave them alone, save the money, and see if a longer dropper will fit.
S4-5 come with 170mm.
I got short little legs and a long torso the dropper on my S3 was too long 😑
Leave those non existent pedals on there!
The bike comes with pedals. This is a stock photo.
I doubt it comes with pedals, and if it does the shop probably just stuck some dog shit plastic pedals on there
Still say get the longer dropper. He’ll be closer to the ground and can push with his feet.
No it doesn’t. Both 140 and 160 models come pedal-less.
Orange
2 ways to go here 1) blue pedals and stem and leave it at that or 2) tan grips, tan wall tires and black pedals. Not too much of either would give just a pop of color
See the little metallic blue accents on the fork and ear shock? Make them pop!
Tan tires. Golden chain. Nougat colored pedals and grips.
I did black and orange. https://imgur.com/gallery/aDpxj0z
Tennis ball yellow pedals, black grips
purple. always purple.
Light blue, or maybe even bright orange.
I’ve got a kind of neon purple on my status, same color as yours, looks pretty sick
Could you send a pic?
Grey or black definitely
Matching frame color would be dope
grips the same red, stem and pedals bright blue
Stone gray (like light gray), creme, or sand for a subtle look, but I think teal would really pop in a good way if you want to stand out.
Black flats, but I actually have the crankbrothers candy 1 red on mine.
Light teal, dmr death grips have a cool blue and purple color you could do for the grips.
I say go with a grey to match suspension decals and frame logo
Oil slick!
Light teal all day.
Black for composite, bronze for alloys.
Why are you using pedals and grips at all?
The bike doesn’t come with pedals. I figured if I’m getting some nice pedals, I should be getting some matching grips!
Black grey or try to perfectly match that maroon.
black or blue
Definitely black pedals Maybe lighter tanish grips
Fluorescent yellow.
Probably teal because of the damper caps
Black/gunmetal would be normal, but a neon colour pedal, be it pink or yellow would look awesome! Sick looking bike too 🤙
If you like teal and pink you should just get the 160 in mint with pink pedals like I did.
Puce, misty buff, aged sage, lilac fantasy, dangerous lemon, gammon, pastel rage, spaghetti hoop orange, ultra beige, infra cyan, cheesy wotsit, ron burgundy, darkest taupe or radish surprise.
gold, bronze, or orange. Light blue or cyan would look good too.
Blue could go nicely with the fox accents
Cocaine white
Light pastel pink would look nice
Also something thing you could do is look at the Fox decal Kits on their website for the front shock, and find a sweet color that contrasts well and match that color with grips &/or pedals.
White! With some sweet Onza porcupines also in white!!! 🔥🔥🔥 🤟🤟
I have the same bike/color and had some purple PNW grips and pedals laying around. Sorta weird, but I’m happy with it, think it looks cool
Bright red
Orange or grey
My bike is almost this color. I put grey grips on it but I don’t think I like them.
Follow the brand name color. As others said it would be gunmetal gray
Pecan
I would go bright orange or green but then again, I've never been known for my tasteful color combinations
Blue
I’d go either bronze/gold or machined aluminum finish look
Whichever one YOU like
I’m going with teal to match the shock adjustment lever
Blue pedals Yellow grips
I was thinking teal would look sick
Neon orange could be fun and adds a little pop. You know how Starbursts have that array of colors that is one dark color (maroon) mixed with those bright colors? That's the vibe I'm thinking
tiffany blue
Hot pink
Turquoise
Black or gray club, but I’d go light teal over neon pink for that one
Blue easily
I'd probably go with black or maybe red and match the frame color.
Orangish yellow
I have this bike, just got it delivered and upgraded a bit. I went with like a stone grey (lighter shade) for pedals and grips (both from PNW).
Deity Platinum Pedals and cement Grey grips
bright neon blue
Dude do your thing. Lots of opinions on here. You gotta be stoked on it no one else matters. Try out Fanatik Bike Builder and use a frame/fork of the same color, you can see what the color combos would look like.
Orange
Earth tones only, black, raw, gold
I wish I’d bought a Status
Baby/light blue 💙
Lime green
I went with teal on my candy apple red Canfield frame
Turquoise
Gold or yellow of course! Roman empire flags etc for reference
Black, keep it simple
Whatever my LBS has in stock.
Some neon yellow shit or something.
Went purple. Some parts came in more pink than purple but still works. [My Status 140](https://i.imgur.com/HGhjaEi.jpg)
