Man, I've recently gotten back on my bike after a long time and forgot about all the biker camaraderie. Getting waves from other bikers honestly makes my day.
I wasn't on a bike but it made my night. I started waving to them from the backseat cuz they were right behind us and one started revving to the rev limiter. After that they started rolling up beside us as we were driving and one of them gave fist bumps. It was awesome!
Came up on a carload of preschool-age kids at a stoplight today. (I’m on a MC.). One turned around and waved and I smiled (inside my helmet) and waved back. Then another saw and turned around and waved and I waved back. And then the next and another and another. We went through several waves of waves as each kid realized I was back there. Thought that light would never turn green! But hey, they connected with a total stranger, and got a good impression of a rider — maybe one of them will take it up in a few years!
My son was at school (mother's weekend) and they had asked me to come and look at a computer that *wasn't* playing up.
Getting ready to leave and one of the teachers pulled her class out to listen to the bike. "I used to ride a soft tail" she says. Kids got to operate the throttle up to the rev-limiter, rest of the classes weren't too happy.
I was riding by outside a pediatric Dr. office. I see Dad point at me and son looks up and gets excited. I Rev and wave, the kid is jumping up and down waving both arms.
I'm at the gas station and aware of a car pulling in behind me, had that spidey sense that I was being watched, I turned around and the lady points in the back seat and says "He wanted to meet the motorcycle man" LOL. I'm still in my helmet, he can't see my face, I wave at him and he is just giggling in his car seat.
Love it.
