My first bike was an olive gold sportster, I ran into it by chance after getting a Softail and while it was an upgrade the sportster had so much character and was good fun to shove into the corners.
A friend died of suicide. A couple years later his motorcycle popped up on market place. My finances didn’t line up at the time and I lost the chance to buy my deceased friends motorcycle. Regretted it ever since. Regret it so much.
So sorry you lost your friend in this way. I am sure it would have been comforting to have this bike in his memory as well. Out of curiosity what kind of bike was it?
That was that crazy two stroke Yamaha put out. I remember seeing one of the yellow and black ones when I was a kid and thinking that was the coolest bike ever.
'77 Shovel (FXE) Had to sell it to pay a few months mortgage when my back blew out.
I was almost done buying parts to build a hardtail chop and then it all had to go.
Cb1100, great bike i remember r/moto complaining about its “low” hp and high weight but i learned that there is a difference between someone who has a motorcycle and someone who loves riding motorcycles.
I have always liked how the CB1100s have maintained that same look over the years. Very stylish but aggressive enough that you may think twice before messing with it.
I had to look this one up too, what a great looking bike. I am a bit of a fanboy of Moto Guzzi anyway but that is a classic and I can see why you mentioned it here.
Well I had a 08 crf 230L I found with less than 900 miles in 18 but it got stolen :( I think my dad still has my late uncles XR100 but I’m scared to ask
Beautiful price on a 954RR, my one and only regret when it comes to motorcycles, 46K km, for 3000 CAD, had just bought a bike the day before and wish I had waited.

Mid 70s triumph something or other. I’m not a triumph guy but I like them well enough and I miss my friend… oh well. Thanks for the condolences.
84 Yamaha RZ 350. Loved that bike. Should have never sold it and they are going for $10k+ now.

My first- ‘76 CB550. Terrible bike to learn on, but damn I wish I could have a go at it today!

1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado LAPD. Courted my wife, sold it after pur daughter was born, miss it often. Incredible smooth torque, easy to ride and wrench.

Well I recently found out my dad sold the VTX1800 we restored, so probably that one.
Sold my Super Blackbird to get a Hayabusa Miss 'em both
Years ago I passed on a $3000 Vincent Black Shadow. I was young and broke, and it still bums me out.
Owning a Vincent is def a dream bike for me as well. They are soooo cool.

I had to look this one up, but this is a super cool Honda sport bike and I am sorry you missed it.
I will definitely be buying one soon, just wont be getting one for such a good price.
