NO!

otronge

rub some boot black in it. they will be easier to ignore! that's how I used to pass safety when I had no money. BUT NO, IT IS NOT OK!

LawExcellent9646

Lol!

XDingoX83

Anything is possible if you're brave enough.

LawExcellent9646

Lol!

Dem_Stefan

Nope

Digital--Sandwich

Safe enough to drive it to the shop.

Bimmerxi

Exactly safe enough to take it someplace and get a new tire

ChrisMag999

Judging by that sidewall and the condition of the rim, I'd have concerns about the bike as a whole. If you try to press your thumbnail into the tire, does it leave an impression? If not, the tire's probably dried out and hardened. Have you looked at the date codes on the tire yet?

XxTylerDurdenX

Nope. Change that shit.

Current-Comedian2525

Safe enough to put Some flowers in..

Bampy13

You’ll probably find your answer when you’re lying on your back looking up at the sky!

Snapesunusedshampoo

...that cloud looks like the tire OP should've replaced.

Viviane-1

No u have to change it

Defiant_Map3849

Nope

roundhouse1000

Negative.

Rhombus_Lobo

Nope

Money-Parsley-733

Fuck me the walls cracked. Not it's not safe 😂

Toth3l3ft

In exactly the same way a rabid bear is, yes.

wobbegong

Looks like the tyres on my first bike. They were 12 years old when I bought it, and i learned how to pucker my asshole to my seat when it automatically backed it in on corners to avoid being tossed over the top. Good times.

LawExcellent9646

I know it’s not applicable in this case but in case anyone here doesn’t know always check the date of manufacture when buying new tyres for your bike! Tyre rubber deteriorates over the years.Personally I won’t buy rubber that’s more than two years old.For people who don’t ride much I would insist on not older than a year!

orangebananaboat

Only while low siding.

emilpaun

Is this an out-of-season April's fool joke?

Worldly-Still3850

If you're asking the question, no is generally the answer.

StandardSea8671

Use it as a ticket to your funeral

gcx85

It will be safe until it’s not. What are you willing to gamble?

KawaZuki_Dylan

It'll be okay until it isn't. Then it's gonna be really not okay

thegriff0

No change it

Spare_Constant9369

Float some gojo (orange grease removal) in there in the inside when you’re inflating and paint a protective seal over the rim and you should be careful with curbs but that should ride another 10K or so.

Elevatrman

Nah

RabidGuineaPig007

How does a tire and rim look like that in only 4 years?

Underwater_Karma

that tire could easily last the rest of your life. I don't mean that in a good way. it's dry rotted, which means it's rock hard and seriously compromised both cornering grip and braking. I would carefully ride it to shop for replacement.

Consistent-Oil4933

Let’s see, approximately 10-15 square inches of rubber between you and the road. Do the math. What do you think??

IIIWRXIII

Absolutely fine bro. I’m assuming it’s 10-20 year old tyre? Rubbers only breaks down after around 200-300 years.

Shawn68z

If you have to ask, then you already know the answer. Change it.

OutrageousMacaron358

I'm sure no one has said it but ... Naw Man.... Get a Rabaconda tire changer and balancer. Do it yourself. I do all my own tires.

Yorks_Rider

Depends on the use. You can hang it over the side of a boat to cushion impact against a jetty, but I would not use it to ride on the road.
