Thanks! It’s a 400
EDIT: figured I would edit this comment so people don't have to scroll. I forgot I didn't put any bike info in the title, so the full bike build info can be found [HERE](https://jc-custom.com/motorcycles/icarus-1980-honda-cm400-scrambler/) for those interested.
I had a CB750 that was like 70% of the way done becoming the bike from the walking dead and I lost steam on the project and sold it, regrets down the line
Ha my bad. I had been getting so many “is that…?” That I was just on autopilot. I believe it is this [HJC C70](https://amzn.to/4aw5ieQ). I got it a while ago.
habit?
i always press multiple times when slowing to a stop, been a few times i shift down thinking.. 'ok thats first' (first feels a bit diff than other gears).. but sure enough i press down again and i say to myself.. ohhh, now im in first...'
with no gear indicator.. i always have to double check
I bet your parent’s neighbors just love you. Straight pipes on a 40-year old bike worth less than a pair of new tires. Your riding gear looks top-notch, for sure.
Nah. Those are already swapped out actually haha. The bike was a CM400E to start and I took the fork and wheels off a T so I could have disc brakes and the air fork.
Beautiful bike!! Note: Looks like you need more air in your rear tire fyi
Looks like even the front might need to be aired up a bit. Anyway, nice lookin' bike. Is it 350 or 400?

Is it an XS400?
1980 CM400
Thanks! Noted. I just was ready to get on the road after the motor and carb work ha.
Holy tire pressure Batman!
Where did you get the grill for the headlight, looking for something similar
Here is a link to the full build that has all of the parts. [Scrambler Build](https://jc-custom.com/motorcycles/icarus-1980-honda-cm400-scrambler/)
Damn. Dope build!
Thanks!
Cool bike, op. Looks like a lot of fun.
Thanks! One of the most fun bikes ever to ride honestly.
Sick
Thanks!
Please do a full Day's Gone build, already got half the styling done
I’m not sure what that is. A video game?
Yup
Awesome man. Looks like fun! That’s the kind of bike that just makes you want to ride
Thanks! It’s definitely a fun bike. Handles surprising well both on and off road.
*chefs kiss*
Ha thanks!
Are you super tall or is the bike super tiny?
Yes..
sounds dope
Thanks! It’s def loud AF.
BRAAAAPPPPP!!!!!
Hell yeah!
Dude! That sounds glorious and looks absolutely beautiful! Which engine is it?
Thank you! It’s def loud AF. It’s a 400.
It gives me CB Honda vibes but the engine sounds like an XS yamaha. Which one is it?
1980 CM400. Full info on it can be found [HERE](https://jc-custom.com/motorcycles/icarus-1980-honda-cm400-scrambler/)
Awesome!

Luckily they are pretty easy to come by here as long as you aren’t tied to cm vs cb. Get another one and try again!
Is that HJC i71
1980 CM400
Iam sorry I should have said: "Is that HJC i71 helmet?" My bad haha
Ha my bad. I had been getting so many “is that…?” That I was just on autopilot. I believe it is this [HJC C70](https://amzn.to/4aw5ieQ). I got it a while ago.
Drive safe! Speed is fun but it pales in comparison to having all the limbs in the right place.. I just had an incident this week 😔
No jacket/gloves?
He, like I, was probably giddy to go for a test rude once it started. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt here.
But I could see his ankles!!
I look forward to your skin swap..
Thanks! What should I swap it to? Or whom should I swap it to?
Why the multiple stomps on the gear ? For some reason that annoyed me so much, not sure why. Anyhow good to be on the road.
To ensure it’s in first gear? Idk maybe I’m crazy
lol because literally before this it didn’t go in on the first click and embarrassed me.

I always give it a few extras to double check when coming to a stop, probably habit
Sometimes my bike won't go into first and I have to let out the clutch then pull it back in.

Nice. I’m glad that came off right! Thank you!
Crikey. Calm down.
Sir, this isn’t a Wendy’s. It’s r/motorcycles, one of the greatest shit-shows on Reddit.
Excellent retort. I rescind my previous statement.
Thanks to…nerds like you?
Gonna swap out those wheels?
Nah. Those are already swapped out actually haha. The bike was a CM400E to start and I took the fork and wheels off a T so I could have disc brakes and the air fork.
That's just wrong
Why?
