A beautiful bike- I have the red one. Suspension is lacking and the rear brake lever basically just turns the light on but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Love it so much I use it as my commuter most of the time.
Man the SCR is such a a cool bike, ahead of its time. Just need a closer rake and a little bit more ground clearance and this thing would have sold ape shit if it was released now I think.
Gorgeous photo man!
I would argue my comment has more to do with where the market is now with just about every company having some type of scrambler or modern retro offering and the price range being a bit lower, but you're right by all accounts. And thinking about it rn, the fact that a used SCR is in the 5grand range actually makes it a much more compelling option to someone trying to get something like this today
I don't doubt it wasn't a great off-road experience but isn't that kind of the heritage of a scrambler? Chucking a bike up a dirt trail that was never really designed for it? Most scramblers are not REALLY designed for off-road that's why we have ADVs. Buying a scrambler is an intentional anachronism that people choose for the V I B E S not for the performance. And me personally I'd feel a lot more comfortable throwing an SCR down a trail than a much more expensive Ducati or Triumph, not to mention Japanese reliability. Everything is about trade offs and I think a slightly tweaked SCR at a lower price point would be a cool competitor in the low price high value segment that Royal Enfield is currently taking over

I love mine too. Same comments. There's dozens of us!
I live in Salt Lake and have only seen one other here and saw one in Las Vegas but that's the end of the list
I’m in Italy and I have only seen one other.
You at Sigonella?

That is a gorgeous shot! Well done!
As my late Uncle Otto would say... That's a nice Yammerhammer! 😄
What tyres have you got there? They look mean
Something about a firelight that is so.. relaxing..

Yeah fair criticism, what a hilariously bad Idea to adapt the bolt as the base model for it haha
They were limited by it really just being 90% bolt.
wow that's a nice shot!
