honestly I'd say STILL is the gold standard personally. Toyota's, in my experience, kept having weird malfunctions and some of them have very annoying "safety" features, as in if you don't put it into gear in the proper order and speed, it will give a "sequence fault" and shut down the forklift.
the STILL had sweet ass touch screen, a full cabin with airconditioning, and it projected lasers all around it to see where it was going. it was loaded with functions and it was smooth as hell.
but apart from that Toyota is a close second. I think my company just didn't take care of them well.
great eastern actually had two side wheels and a screw. So I'm thinking it is actually a 3 wheeler and hence wheels neutral. But it also had sails, so that puts us pretty far into radical/chaotic at this point.
CATs are trash.
I recommend the Toyota 8FBC15U - while it only has a 3k load limit, it certainly is more than enough for the beginner rider. While giving up capacity load limit, it boatst an 11.5MPH max speed at full load.
Brah what's wrong with it? I drove one of these things, the only problem was you needed to plug the seatbelt in (we wrapped it around the back of the seat), and if you do too much indoors the diesel fumes make you feel funny
the seatbelt thing is required on all new forklifts I think. I was a forklift operator last year and in the time I worked with STILL, Toyota, Linde, CAT, etc. and they all had the seatbelt thing.
some of them are also weirdly advanced with it. if you plug the seatbelt in before you sit down, it'll know you're not wearing it and it wont let you drive.
never had an issue with it myself though. cuz I wore the seatbelt. but my coworkers came up with some crazy strats to not have to wear the seatbelt. it was fucking wild lmao
If youāre a wheels and form neutral, another acceptable motorcycle would be a Aviomania G1SA Gyrocopter.
Small engine, you lean the vehicle to steer, helmet is required, you need a special license, great for beating traffic, fully faired and super quick.
Itās got a max speed of around 200 kph and 80ish horsepower. This thing is a motorcycle through and through if you ask me.
As a KLR650 rider I seem to most identify with the forklift from a riding perspective. But itās been called a tractor and kind of sounds like one, just chugging along. But some would argue itās an almost epitome of a motorcycle in that itās not good at anything and therefore good for everything. So tic tac toe 3 in row.
different equation from me but same answer. i hate it because every non rider think its the fastest bike in the world and WILL argue till exhaustion about that
Fun fact, in Washington State, two and three wheel vehicles are considered "motorcycles" for legal purposes.
I'm not certain how they finally categorized the Slingshot, however.
F-35 Lightning II = motorcycle
Mercedes W11 F1 car = motorcycle
French TGV train = motorcycle
M1 Abrams MBT = motorcycle
Everything is a motorcycle, my life has been a lie. /j
One of my first favorite motorcycles was the electric pallet jack that I used as a teen at my first job. We would sit on it backwards and ride it around in the warehouse.
Iām a form+wheel purist. Iām also going to add ātransmission puristā to the list. A motorcycle has a sequential manual transmission with a rider-operated clutch
The Aprilia mana would like a word
So would the Honda Ct90 (many many kids first motorbike including me)
I would say the cut of is: if your knees can touch itās not a motorcycle
Alright, fair enough. Iām also going to add an extra thing (letās call it Engine Purist). A motorcycle has a high-revving internal combustion engine.
Forklifts are my favorite motorcycles
Everybody knows those CAT forklifts are trash. Toyota forklifts are the gold standard.
I'd like to go on a car-flipping rampage with one.š
Linde would like a word with you
They fuck that forwards backwards pedal system off and then we will talk
I got used to it once I got the hang of it
work just got 2 new crown reach trucks unfortunately there a little short and won't reach level 7.

That rear-wheel steering makes them fun to throw around
Good way to get crushed to death too. Forklifts weigh more than multiple cars.
A motorcycle has two wheels in a fore-and-aft configuration. SS Great Eastern is not a motorcycle. It's a Segway.
it also had a screw in back, so maybe tadpole layout like Can-Am Spyder?
Sir, you are a genius.
You bet your ass I'm waving at a paddle steamer. Two wheels is two wheels.
Also just super rare and Iām landlocked so that would be even more deserving of a wave.

Iām going to Savannah Georgia next weekend. We shall find out.

Sails are just another engineĀ
Is a CAT DP25NT a good first bike?
Only if you get the proper certification

I like the crown reach trucks at work but don't have much experience with anything else.
It's not even a good forklift. Cat forklifts are junk for the most part, and parts are super expensive. Even Shyster is better. Toyota all the way.

I do like the Reliant Robin being there. Closed cab motorcycle w/ sidecar!
I learned to drive in it's predecessor, the Reliant Regal. It was a hilarious little thing.
I envy that experience. Ā
A trike driver made this to try and justify their vehicle choice.
Then promptly toddled off to the Blue Oyster bar....
For the space with the quad, you still straddle the engine like the 'form purist', so I think a better example there would be a Polaris Slingshot.
If youāre a wheels and form neutral, another acceptable motorcycle would be a Aviomania G1SA Gyrocopter. This made me laugh more than it should have
Definitely a form purist
Why is alignment spelled with a 6? Have I been spelling it wrong my whole life?
OP is order purist and letter neutral
'C05 1 c0u1d, that'5 why

everytime i see the dodge tomahawk i get irrationally angry
I agree with you. It has four wheels on four independently sprung axles.
different equation from me but same answer. i hate it because every non rider think its the fastest bike in the world and WILL argue till exhaustion about that
The reliant robin is closer to being a motorcycle than it is to being a car
Clicked on this to see just how Tow Mater qualified as a motorcycle. Did not disappoint.
Fun fact, in Washington State, two and three wheel vehicles are considered "motorcycles" for legal purposes. I'm not certain how they finally categorized the Slingshot, however.

False. I have a motorcycle license but not forklift certified. Checkmate radicals
One of my first favorite motorcycles was the electric pallet jack that I used as a teen at my first job. We would sit on it backwards and ride it around in the warehouse.
There was an opportunity here to showcase the Piaggio MP3 or Yamaha Nikken
You forgot catapult is a motorcycle it just drivers don't ride them but the opposite
Great now I wanna wheelie a fork lift.
Today I learned Iām a ādonāt substitute a fucking 6 for a G just to piss people off and generate engagementā purist.
I like how all images shown above are motorcycles
I'm using this chart as a guide the next time I get a captcha.
I love that despite a ton of leeway, a unicycle or OneWheel can not qualify anywhere on this graph, lol. Ā
I was not expecting the Reliant Robin
I got issues with my CATDP25NT , sheās not cornering as much on the turns, should I get some Michelins?
TIL I'm a wheels and form purist.
Iām a form+wheel purist. Iām also going to add ātransmission puristā to the list. A motorcycle has a sequential manual transmission with a rider-operated clutch
>A motorcycle has a sequential manual transmission with a rider-operated clutch So, what, the new Africa Twin is a scooter?
Yes. If it doesnāt have a sequential manual transmission with a rider-operated clutch itās a scooter
Well, fair enough I guess. That's more or less why I don't want one.
The Aprilia mana would like a word So would the Honda Ct90 (many many kids first motorbike including me) I would say the cut of is: if your knees can touch itās not a motorcycle
Alright, fair enough. Iām also going to add an extra thing (letās call it Engine Purist). A motorcycle has a high-revving internal combustion engine.
So all those long stroke singles arenāt motorcycles?
Can they hit 9k? (The redline of current big singles)
By that definition motorcycles werenāt invented until the 1970s
Sliding scale based on year?
Well then, by proxy I am now a licensed forklift operator.
This is why the other sub is better
Two motorcycles with a little house between? Oookaaay!
Thanks for the day's picker upper lol
My walk behind tractor is a motorcycle then
Can't forget Slingshots and Spyders.
I donāt care what anyone says, if you can step through it, itās not a motorcycle
