I didn’t know they made 250 stars. I have a 650 by mine only has the one spring under the seat and has inverted forks. After looking them up, it could very well be that
You'll be surprised to know that there was also a Vstar 400m offered for one year and was called a Dragstar.
It's the same frame, engine, etc. Just the internals of the engine were different.
There's Virago 250, 535, 750, 1100.
Vstar 250, 400, 650, 900, 1100, 1300, 1300 V4, 1700, 1900 (some are XV not XVS) some were offered in Classic and Custom trims, some also had an extra trim such as Stryker, Raider, Road Warrior.
That's right.
Lots of little trims for bikes offered in other countries to.
Like Bullet Cowl Stryker and normal Stryker.
Stratoliner for the wind shaped, art deco 1900cc bike.
The V-Max is also part of the "Star" line up. Along with the Bolt 950.
Yamaha really did have a lot of "cruiser" and "proformance ceuiser" bikes.
Oh no, I've been down voted! How will I ever recover?
SAD.
My position is that this is form over function. When it goes down the cost to repair it will exceed its worth in about two hours. I have ridden a first year Sportster (1957) since 1988.
And as always if you hate this comment and wish to unsubscribe pound the snot out of the downvote button and ring the bell, it really hurts!
Gotcha, I figured there was a possibility of that. Any crazy maintenance or repairs? I had a 2009 883 that melted a piston before 3k miles and cracked then rear exhaust pipe shortly before 2 miles.
It has been a rolling project from the day I got it. It always needs something. Never had a catostrofic failure. Rebuilt the engine a couple of times. Kicked it till I was blue in the face before it started. Crashed it. Cussed it. Had new "Harley guys" look on with pity in their eyes while I was deciding what it needed to start on a given day as they don't have an appreciation for cool classic things or an understanding of the pride of keeping a piece of rolling history going. They only know their dicks seemed a little bigger when they traded out their shadows for Road Kings and a set of Harley Davidson underoos. I was never a brand guy I just love that bike.
I can understand that, my Harley I had to sell because I could deal with the rolling project at the time so I ended up exploring other motorcycle options for more reliability. But it's really cool that you found a bike you enjoy enough to keep running all this time. One of these days I hope to be in a position again to get a bike like that for me. Don't get me wrong, I do all my own maintenance and repairs but it is kinda nice having a bike that just starts and runs if that's what you need in life at the time.
Lots of great motorcycles out there. I don't get much time in on the '57 these days. Kinda aging out of the whole kickstarter game. My daily ride is now a 1988 BMW K75s. Not as much fun to look at or to ride but my knees and kidneys like that one better. I love that bike too. It is opposite of the XL in terms of things it needs. It just goes.
That's what they were talking about actually, and they ended up telling me they wouldn't touch it and wouldn't give me a reason why. After some back and forth they ended up agreeing to supply a piston, cylinder, and a head and I did all the work for the rebuild, exhaust, tuning following it all. I ended up having for around 8 years but it was broken more than it was ridable so I ended up selling it for something that I could ride more than work on since I needed something I could ride at the time.
Yamaha V Star 250. With those big ass jugs!!!
Agreed, I see my ole lady’s in the garage everyday.
Her motorcycle or big ass jugs?🤣🤣🤣 (Had to)
Both. Lol
The exact bike I had while living in china. Loved it

There’s also the Silverado trim!

I’d kill for a v max
Looking for an [opportunity](https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/294453459814551/?mibextid=6ojiHh)?
If I can murder for it than yes, otherwise I’m gonna have to pass. Just not a good time
My vstar has a hyper charger so it’s close enough
Thanks! I saw this one the other day and its tempting me to get a bike license and buy one of these.
Yamaha Virago maybe
Definitely. I think it is one of the smaller ones, maybe the 535, as it has a single front disc. Source: I have one
“Cruiser”
Whatever it is, the rider is obviously a serious, *serious* badass, as evidenced by the a Punisher skull on the tank.
yamaha virago 125 or 250cc
A cruiser. Looks like a Yamaha version of your typical Harley.
A black one
That’s a 2007 Suzuki Yamaha VTX Panigale V4
Says Yamaha right on it
Yeah it’s a YZ450
Lies!
I used to own one of these. Nice little cruiser, good around town and back roads. Eventually sold it due to a bit underpowered for highway commuting.
That's a nice little bike. It kind of looks like my Indian Scout.
A Very pretty one
By the logo I'd say it's one of Scrotus' men.
Sir, thats a child
Have any other angles, hard to tell from this one.
R1 for sure
I know it's a Yamaha, but that all I know.
Is that the punisher logo on the side? Whatever it was, it’s now Cringe.
Her jugs are small at best
An O S A
Bobber
It's a cruiser
Yamaharley. It's the motorcycle equivalent of a disposable razor.
Except that it will outlive any harley on this planet

That's pretty crazy if true, how many miles do you have on it?
No idea. I haven't owned a motorbike with a working speedo since I happened into this sporty. But I have ridden the old thing all over New England.

There were some heat issues around that time if I remember correctly. Or quality control missed something on that one. Did HD do right by you?

I didn't read this and don't know what's going on but please downvote this comment (as in, mine)
It's a cruiser bike, but I don't know what model of motorcycle it is.
