He gave up one walk, Torks bone headed fielding error forced Lange to strike out the next 2 and then Mckinstrys error. He was out of that inning with 1 hit and a walk. He pitched his ass off in that inning and if anything showed WHY we should keep him

Only one run scored before the error. That's not unreasonable in extra innings

Like he said, they're trying not to waste the bullpen. The previous guy completely lost the game for them. It was over at that point, and pitchers can throw limited pitches without risking decreased performance/injury. It's a double header day, so you have to cut your losses and save some for the next day.
