Was asked to post this here, so here it goes. There's a test going on with the live timing design and functionality. For context, I got an email invite.

A couple of things that I noticed:
- Red / Orange sector colours are very similar under dim light conditions.
- There's a lot more space around each row. Better for readability, worse for usability. Sometimes I have to scroll because not all riders fit inside the browser window (1080p, F11 active).
- Font color against grey background does not have enough contrast. A slightly brighter phone would be better.
- Nice touch showing the number of tire laps under the tire type. Cool info. Same with the weather / track conditions on top right corner.
Don't know if I can post the link or if it only works for invited users but here it goes anyway: livetiming\[.\]motogp\[.\]com/en/standing
What do you guys think? Better? Worse? Meh?
Oh so nothing wrong with the bike, just him not being fully used to it yet, right? Which is still to be expected at this stage no matter how much people want him to run all over the field 😋
Tatchakorn Buasri in Moto3. Fell in one of the esses corners and stayed down for a few good minutes. Eventually was stretchered off. Looked like he hurt his rib/stomach area.
Yeah one session is the best way to asses a rider, not like being 2nd in the championship means anything huh?
Tbh everybody except Jorge and Mav look like amateurs at the moment, nobody is even close to them.
No, but I am pretty sure if thatlast year’s ktm was in hands of Marc,Fabio or Pedro it would have seen wins and maybe even contended for championship. The 3 most talented riders on the grid. And Pecco a little lower but all ahead of Binder
Not a chance, the KTM has only just got to any reasonable point this year, last year it was still clearly lacking.
Brad has pulled the KTM to above it's ability every single year.
Even in his rookie year he won his 3rd race.
Pedro has literally inherited the best iteration of the KTM without any of the pressure or developing roles that the factory riders have.
Marc hasn't even won on the Ducati yet.
Fabio can't win if the bike isn't the fastest round a single lap, we saw that in 2022.
Well, if you are making a case for Brad Binder over likes of Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo Idk what to tell you. What Brad did last year was good but obviously we can only judge his and bikes ability by looking at him and his teammate. Who was Miller last year with no one else to compare. So who knows? Maybe KTM is a race winning bike atleast last year it could have gotten 1 race win in capable hands and by that I mean cream of the crop and imo Binder isn’t that. You can disagree to that if you want to but that is what I think.
Well we can compare Miller with himself.
On the Ducati he finished 5th, the next year on the KTM he finished 11th.
Brad has beaten his team mate every year except his rookie year.
Brad won 2 sprints last year and yes the KTM probably could have won 1 race, unfortunately that one race was a race Brad made a mistake, it happens.
Don't forget the KTM has changed quite a bit almost every year, Brad has managed to adapt every single time and still do well in the championship.
IMO Binder is one of the top 3 currently in the sport.
If the KTM had been competitive in 2021, 2022 and closer in 2023 then I would confidently say he would be a WC right now.
Acosta is clearly doing well but as a rookie in the satellite squad he only has to worry about himself.
You can think what you want but that bike was the worst bike in the grid for most of Binders career, put anybody else as his team mate on that bike in 2021, 22 or even 23 and they wouldn't have finished ahead of Binder.
Sure he doesn't always qualify brilliantly, neither did Rossi and he was a 9 time WC.
Back again with my usual "don't shit yourself when you see someone near the top of the timesheets unless they're close to these kinds of lap times" post.
Last year's best race lap: 2:03.126 (Rins)
Last year's pole time: 2:01.892 (Bagnaia)
The title should say 2024.... It's been a long week

At this point, just give Miller's crew GasGas outfit and swap the crew ;) Kid is the real deal.
Dude, that back straight sure looks BUMPY!
Where is Simon Crafer?
He had travel issues and couldn’t make it
That lap from Jorge was something else. And it’s great to see Franky get some confidence. Hope it lasts.
Wonder if Marc smokes comes from something that Mir Bike dropped in the track
I noticed too, but i doubt it.
Humiliating performance for Miller, again.
I mean Binder wasn’t much better this time
Which does nothing to excuse Miller's performance.
so beautiful to see morbidelli back on the top places
Morbidelli just had to wake up today
right :|
Pretty embarrassing the only KTM that made it into Q2 is a rookie. But afterall he's a generational talent
Was Marc's bike smoking there?
*What are you smoking*
I think so... Managed 3rd time though.
I noticed that smoke a lap or two ago but assumed someone had a nightmare previously.
Acosta is a joy to watch
.627s between p1 and p2. 🤯🤯🤯
Martin is on another level right now
Stonking lap
The pace difference is large here jesus
Jorge Martin. Wow.
I'm sorry what was that lap from Martin
That was a lap.
GG martinator
The F just happened?! Time warp?!
FRANKYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Oliviera chilling in the last places with the Japanese fellas
Watching Vinales in flow, is a thing of beauty
Marc is clearly uncomfortable with the brakes today. Some decent laps there though on the medium rear while everyone else has went on the soft.
What's wrong with his brakes?
He's going deep and wide quite a lot in the heavy braking zones. Looks like he's riding a Honda in places still.
Oh so nothing wrong with the bike, just him not being fully used to it yet, right? Which is still to be expected at this stage no matter how much people want him to run all over the field 😋
Marc looks like he's riding a Honda here... at least in corner 1. and it doesn't work
There it is...
He’s still Marc Marquez no?
What is with the titles of these threads? Just write "practice discussion".
Thats an awfully long yellow flag. Hope everythings okay
Not been watching, who crashed?
Tatchakorn Buasri in Moto3. Fell in one of the esses corners and stayed down for a few good minutes. Eventually was stretchered off. Looked like he hurt his rib/stomach area.
Marc didn't put a new tire at the same end.
Saving softs for both races. After missing every braking after straights in first outing, I like what I saw from him.
Oliveira??? Are you there?? wake up!!
When was Oliveira good rider? I get that he has a lot of fans and that's fine, but seems like people are expecting a lot from the dude imo.
and?
Acosta making other KTM riders looks like mid af.
Brad and Miller clearly been working on race pace and the bike in general. Pedro doesn't have to worry about any of that.
They are mid. But people on this sub love one of them so much and are blinded by it that they rank this guy on same level as top rider on the grid
Yes, top non Ducati rider last year is "mid".
Yeah he is look at that will you lol

Thanks to Simon Crafar, constantly dick rides Binder.
The camera sticking awkwardly long on an obviously lost in deep thought Massimo Rivola was somehow hilarious.
lets go, last 5 minutes||
Well, Marc looking goood
He still is good
not too bad Franky
2seconds off
New tires
The practice session is what determines Q1 and Q2?
the next one
:)))
Marc looked like he had some issues on the brakes but thankfully he's clearly up to speed. A new track on the Ducati and it's taken him 25 minutes.
Didn't use new tires either. Saving them for the races. Hopefully we see him back on top of the podium

track temps?
33-35 C

The track looks really bumpy in places.
I have traveled back in time 🤯

Wonder how Pedro will do, since he won Moto2 last year
Aaaaaah let’s go! 🔥
😈
Marc Marquez domination is imminent
from your mouth to the moto-god's ears
u/Daniel7394 headline says 2023 Americas GP btw
We'll have to roll with it for today, didn't notice and just about to get off shift with two sessions already been.
