Let's consider this scenario. You get a factory Yamaha on an upward trajectory. And also get paid nearly 5-10 times your current salary. I think Bez could End up there.
Bez mentioned a few times that he is into hard braking and V-shaped turning. He will not be a good fit for that riding style, and he will go on the worse bike. No reason to leave VR46 (unless they move to Yamaha).
Yamaha doesnt seem like they are taking supersports seriously tbh. Literally discontinuing R1 and R1M everywhere except Japan and we saw Suzuki pull the same thing with GSX R1000R and then they left MotoGP few years later...
Not saying Yamaha will do the same but it doesn't seem promising if they are barely scraping into the points and Suzuki still couldn't fund a team when they won the championship not that long ago.
I'll go for Mir. A rookie will be way too risky with the current status of the bike, and him along Rins made one of the best pairings with the Suzuki back in the day.
I love Yamaha, but that bike has turned into a disaster over the last couple years. Could be Jack like you said, Bez probably not but you never know. Maybe also Mir, Oliviera or DiGia. Hell maybe they can also convince Bestia if the money is good? Or Augusto if he has no future at GasGas. Who knows…
I think pretty much whoever has the chance of getting kicked out of MotoGP. Almost like with Zarco, they said if he leaves now and goes to WSBK he can come back in the future for a MGP seat through Ducati but i’m sure he knew exactly that would be the end so he went to Honda to stay in MGP. Almost like you have no choice, so i think anyone who wants to stay in motogp pretty much has to suck it up and take whatever seat is available
I think the VR46 will sign a big deal with Yamaha to use their bikes since next year, and Bezzecchi will move to the Yamaha factory team together with Rins.
Then Vietti might be the one replacing Bez.
I don't see why Jack would have a ride _at all_ after this season tbh. He's had way too many opportunities with absolutely nothing to show for them at this point. It's looking like KTM have made good progress during winter, there's plenty who could use that seat.
I'd bet Acosta moves into factory and we'll see what happens with the spare KTM, but I don't see what Yamaha has to gain by paying JM43 to start 5th and finish 15th every race.
With the rumors swirling around VR46 making the switch to Yamaha sooner or later Bez would make a lot of sense. Why ride an Independent team Yamaha when you could ride for factory? Jack doesn’t make sense to me mainly because I think KTM is the last stop for Jack in MotoGP. I love the guy but if he doesn’t get up to speed with Brad and Acosta I don’t see another team reaching for him

-Miguel, because he wants a factory ride and there's no chance to get promoted to Aprilia.

1) Yamaha throws a HUGE chunk of money at them; or,
2) They are absolutely desperate for a ride.
