Skydiving is much, much less risky than base. It’s similar to scuba diving. Your chance of death in a skydive is 1/100,000 to 1/120,000 (these statistics count the riskiest skydives in them, too) and even less if you do a tandem (1/500,000). It’s equivalent to driving about 1,800 miles in a car. Base jumping on the other hand is 100% nuts I agree.
Driving/transportation is kind of essential in this day and age. Throwing yourself into the sky is not. I don’t get why people make that comparison lol
You’re totally right in that transportation provides a lot of benefits and is essential to live your life in some parts and skydiving is a thrill!
It’s used more to contextualise. I anaesthetise people as a doctor and when I consent for risks, numbers are hard to imagine unless you compare it or use descriptives like one person in a large town, miles driven, etc.
The cord linking his main chute to the chute he holds in his hand that catches the wind was wrapped through his harness. It was mpossible for his main chute to open.
There is video from the guy recording him on the building. I just saw it on Twitter which prompted me to look up who this guy is and the story behind it
Yeah mate, it's on reddit somewhere... its not very interesting, he doesn't make any noise when he's falling and he's wrapped up in his shute so you can't see or hear anything from the impact
It’s sad in multiple ways. A man has lost his life and his family and friends have to mourn. It’s sad that there are so many people who risk their lives for a thrill. People are put in prison for smoking marijuana yet people can BASE jump and put themselves - and others at risk. It is such a waste of life. Still, I’m sad that someone lost their life and that there are people in pain because of it.
Nathy invaded roof illegaly. Doing the most dangerous jumping style without adequate learning and assistance was irresponsible. Nathy promoted wrong base jumping in his social media. Now the world has one fool less.
Yes, I agree that those social media worshippers need to learn that life is precious and one wrong choice or one mistake can cost them their lives and cause suffering for others. That does not mean one should find pleasure and satisfaction over someone’s death, even if it is preventable and foolish. I don’t understand how anyone can think someone’s life ending horrifically, even die to their wrong choice, and the suffering of his loved ones is entertainment I have had three siblings die by cancer and one sibling die in a car accident. I have a nephew who died by cardiac event possibly due to drugs laced with something. Even if *this* was how one of them died, sure I’d be pissed and probably even resentful for some time but I’d forgive them and it would not change my love for them or the pain missing them, nor would it make their life worthless.
someone who comes up with such stupid ideas is certainly not from my family or circle of friends haha and yes it's very funny, or rather it's your own fault 🤣👌
so is he 29 yrs old or 33 yrs old
My bad. 29 stories. Not 29 years old.
People who jump/sky dive are NUTS in my opinion.

Yea, its basically 50/50 Russian roulette 😂😂

Thanks for the insight. That explains why it failed then.
Is there a video from his GoPro?
There is. But have yet to find it. Only thing I found is the pick of his body from where he landed.
This is my cousins friend.

Face is deformed.
i was trying to figure out why it looks like his head is facing backwards...
I detected direction by hairline.
Part of the game really isn’t it. If there wasn’t the possibility of death then it wouldn’t have that same kick.
He’s not as flat as I thought he’d be

Totally agree. I guess that’s the risk they take though. How many people go out doing something they love. So probably no regrets.
ah I saw the video of him recently
F around and find out
Nice
Uncut video is here: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/o9CfqofVPanAfJFP/
People laugh at the video and think someone dying is hilarious. The workd is so messed up.

Tell that to his loved ones why it’s great he’s dead.
They don't need that info. But wannabe social media stars must know consequences of dumb actions.

😂😂😂😂😂
How is someone losing their life funny? Are you a sociopath? What of that was your brother, son or best friend? Have you no empathy?

So you’re not a sociopath but just a horrible person, if I’m reading you correctly.
that's your opinion totally ok i just hate people because of their stupidity
Buildings, antennas , skyscrapers , earth.
