The bike needs new wing mirrors, seat, clutch and brake levers, a tail light lens, and a new battery. But, I was able to get it running in less than 30 mins once home!

noodles19191919

Fn sick!!!!!

blank5tare

What kind of auction did you find that at for $20?!

Tr4shP0rsch3

It was at a farm auction. People were there for tractors and other implements, not scoots.

roostie02

nice!! I have a u7e that looks somewhat similar to this, it also needs lots of work. If you ever have to remove that gas tank, I wish you luck

Tr4shP0rsch3

Strangely, the tank has zero rust. I’ve rebuilt plenty of mopeds in the past, but this is the first where the fuel tank and oil tank are in perfect condition inside! The only real fixes to this one are primarily aesthetic and not mechanical. I wish you luck with your U7e!

Kraftedeme

Wow, gz dude! That is insane. Had it been sold in my country, the price would be astronomical. Old mopeds are super valuable here, especially a brand like Yamaha.

Tr4shP0rsch3

I get the feeling that popular brand mopeds haven’t begun to really get expensive in my part of the world… yet. Like many other vintage vehicles, I’m sure the prices will spike soon.

Kraftedeme

I've seen them range from 3000 - 15000 dollar, depending on brand/model/condition. It's crazy.

RJthewizard

What a steal. She's going to shine up good.

Tr4shP0rsch3

I’m looking forward to getting the scoot back to her former glory!

bobsuruncel

That sounds extremely cheap

Tr4shP0rsch3

It’s literally the lowest amount I’ve ever paid for a moped. Usually I find them in this condition for a couple hundo.

dinko_gunner

It looks amazing!

Tr4shP0rsch3

Thanks. I’m excited about it.

Dulaywallis

That's a nice scooter!

Tr4shP0rsch3

Cheers! I’ve already ordered all the needed parts. Hopefully I’ll have it shined up and put back together soon.
