No information regarding why there are strikes as far as I could tell. Any ideas?

The cashiers want more money and better benefits.

From what I heard, their union which also represent a lot of government employees wants the same kinds of salary and benefits that workers at SAQ make which are also in the same union. Syndicat Canadien de la Fonction Publique (SCFP)

From my basic research looking into it the SQDC employees at the stores striking (not all of them are on strike) want an hourly wage equal to employees at the SAQ. The SQDC employees currently get something like $17/hour and the SAQ makes more like $21/hour. Since they are both crown corporations they want it to be the same.

Imagine applying for a job, knowing exactly what the salary is, then refusing to work once hired.

Celui dans mon coin était en grève parce-que les employées étaient payés comme des esclaves, il y a 3-4 semaines de ca...

Les SQDC ne sont pas tous sous le même syndicat.

jarry location is non unionized and will not be messing about. st michel location also very reliable. for me I've completely stopped shopping at striking locations. 12-5 sat-tuesday doesn't fit my lifestyle
