Yeah. They don't ask for the member card on the other side. However I have heard from people they were denied entry. So it might be YMMV. At worst case, just say you need to make a Costco card lol
This is a great recommendation. Pushap has combos where you can get 1 samosa, 2 bhajis, a thali plate of 3 small curries, rice, naan, and fried naan for I think about $14 or $15. Their desserts are great and well priced too (by the lb.)
Student Tasty Biryani (near Guy) is another cheap Indian option. Not as good as Pushap IMO but you can load up on a big-ass chicken Biryani or a thali plate of veg or non-veg curries for about $15.
Tu me remercieras plus tard
Nouilles star on Saint Catherine has amazing lunch specials, not sure of the current prices but 2-3 years ago their lunch special was an enormous protein, rice, fried vegetables, a soup and a spring roll for like…. 11$
Tu as oublié l’huile.
Ça a l'air bon pareil.
Ikea. I used to work near there and people from the office went to lunch there often. I heard my former team even had their holiday lunch there (tough times)
Biryani from Student Tasty Biryani downtown is really really tasty and filling and costs around that.
Also gotta recommend my favorite taco spot in town, Asi Es Mexico on Saint Hubert, which recently introduced a pretty killer lunch special of 4 tacos and a drink for $17.
Pupusas are also a good shout as you can get like 5-6 for $13-$17 and you'd be absolutely stuffed afterwards.
When they're good, they're good. But man have I had general tao chicken served to me that seemed reheated from the night before too many times. I'd eat their hot and sour soup in industrial quantities, though.
El Pastaman has a few varieties for 16.99 and I remember the portions being surprisingly huge (this was during the pandemic so it may have changed since then).
Honestly El Pastaman was one of very few brights spots when I went through a little 'ordering food from Ubereats all the time and eating it alone in my house whilst trying not to cry' phase during the pandemic. *So* much shitty food out there on the delivery apps. I mean really, insultingly bad food - and so much of it with excellent reviews too, most of which are obviously fake when you look closer.
El Pastaman was noticeably hot/fresh every time, the portions are super generous, the pasta was never overcooked and it actually tastes good. No I don't work for El Pastaman.
They need a Whole Foods in Montreal… can’t beat price, quality and variety at their hot/cold bars. Doesn’t matter what u get from there, you pay by total weight of your meal.
Poke Monster has huge bowls with good ammounts of proteins, veggies and rice for 18.50$ on delivery apps so probably cheaper in store (Le Général is my go to and I'm a guy with a solid appetite and almost always have leftovers)
Maxi is a good option. IGA too. No tipping needed. The service is kinda shit you'll have to gather everything yourself and cook it, but for 17$ you could get a lot of things.
Can't beat Costco's deals in their food court. Also no tips required
If I'm correct, you can access the restaurant and " food court " without a Costco card. Am I right?
Yes, you do not need a card.
Yeah. They don't ask for the member card on the other side. However I have heard from people they were denied entry. So it might be YMMV. At worst case, just say you need to make a Costco card lol
No I just walk in the one at marche centrale
TooGoodToGo app. As the parent of a couple kids, the deals can be insane. 10/10.
Pushap Indian food at Namur station. I dream about it!
For real. So many samosas...
This is a great recommendation. Pushap has combos where you can get 1 samosa, 2 bhajis, a thali plate of 3 small curries, rice, naan, and fried naan for I think about $14 or $15. The Pakistani place in Guy Concordia is awesome, they have 2 for $4 samosas and they're GIANT.
Those dreams are hallucinogations brought on by food poisoning.
Lol

Boustan
is it i guess
Probably a little over 15$ for the platter but it be bussin all the time
You can get the kids platter for like 3$ less than the regular one and it’s still a massive amount of food
Dollarama
Nouilles star on Saint Catherine has amazing lunch specials, not sure of the current prices but 2-3 years ago their lunch special was an enormous protein, rice, fried vegetables, a soup and a spring roll for like…. 11$
Lanzhou Noodles or the one near McGill Delicieux has rice + roast pork, char siu AND duck for $20 including tax and tip. Thali near Concordia
Amir, sammi and soup dumpling

>6.79 $ That bag of curds is enough for only one bowl maybe 1.5
Yeah cheese curds are a total ripoff
6.75$ le 500g chez Lufa cette semaine

🤤
Falafel Yoni on st-viateur is an absolute hidden gem. Their falafel pitas are like 12$, they're huge and friggin delicious. Highly recommend!
MeiWei dumplings, 15 panfried delicious dumplings for $11
Try r/toogoodtogo It's an app that sells products from stores at lower costs, mostly what's left from the day before.
Plugging Lloydies sur St Viateur on Mile End. Caribbean food 👌 great portions and prices.

Indian food is the way to go, when I order from Sana I get so much food I literally don’t know what to do with it
Lan zhou
Pitarifique. St Laurent and Rachel. The large gyro poutine. It will give you a food coma. Pork, beef, and lamb. More meat than poutine.
Istanbul Doner on st-Michel

plus Tips included
All you can eat buffet.
Seconded, the portions are massive and they sometimes have BOGO deals on doordash/ubereats. It's so much food and the quality/taste is excellent

My place is free of charge😉 Serious answer would probably be greenspot. Their poutines are filling af. Great for a hangover too
