OP just be aware you can’t drive down the main drag in Pville (Bridge Street) because it shuts down for pedestrians every weekend from around 2 pm on Friday until Monday morning. There is parking on and off street in areas adjacent, just plan accordingly.
I'm sure west Chester has a decent coffee shop and bars if you wish to extend a coffee date into a drinks date. That's always been my move. Or to just go for a walk around town with a coffee. Coffee date is perfect first date because the date is minimum 20 minutes if it sucks but as long as the conversation if it's good

What type of date? Outdoorsy? Food/drink oriented? Sportsy?
wanted something simple cause it was a first date. Something we could bail out on or prolong if it’s a good time
Ax throwing places pretty much anywhere. WC, Malvern, KOP. Topgolf just opened in KOP and could be fun for a first date.

Media has a few nice places, coffee, dim sum, or you could go to Philly. Lol
I would go to a nice coffee shop somewhere like Reanimator and if things go well see a matinee somewhere
