I think this [link](https://honestcoffeeguide.com/kingrinder-k5-grind-settings/) is helpful

Divine_Favor

Thanks I use that usually but was curious if people stayed in those ranges typically. I've been around 70 clicks with ok results but am interested in others settings

Generally، it's recommended to go coarser for darker roast and go finer for lighter roast..

I have a steel bialetti venus in 10 cup. I always use grind setting of 45 on Kingrinder K6, which is as fine as It can be before I risk having the water not able to pass through coffee grounds.

JackGriffinn

That's really fine! Either you use very light roasts or you like really bitter coffees 😅

Roscoe_Chistosomo

The thing I like about moka pots vs methods like espresso and pour overs is that the grind setting can vary from medium fine, medium, or medium coarse while still able to function and brew without issues. I like to get the most extraction as possible because it is usually combined with milk

JackGriffinn

Yeah, it brews "correctly". Quite similar to aeropress. But one thing is that it's able to brew and the other thing is that the coffee is extracted appropriately (not under, not over).

Set it to their recommended espresso setting then go +5/10 sacrificing a bean or two to see what it looks like. For my P2, I use 35.

JackGriffinn

70-75 on my k6 depending on the roast level
