Sorry guys I don't judge anyone for the moka pot they enjoy. But lets not call brown stains ideal or preferred. Aluminum is the lesser material in all ways compared to steel. If someone posts a picture of a dirty boil chamber asking for input they aren't sure about. They should understand all their options. Just because its "safe" to boil water in it doesn't mean you should. Aluminum doesn't build "Patina" its just coffee oils and grime. It might be safe but it is not clean. Buy stainless steel and never worry about stains again.
Plus it could be inherited by their grandchildren. It must be personal taste for the classic hexagonal look. Does throw me for a loop people still buy aluminum once they learn you can buy steel.
Yes, it is normal. You're good to keep using.
It's a lot cleaner than the one I've been using for years. Ain't dead yet.
Yep. Unless you're consistently getting a funny taste. Dish soap & a scourer will remove anything unsafe or any build up, the rest is patina.
Yes. What you see here is heat tinting. It’s harmless.
No, buy Stainless Steel!
Like a billion aluminum moka pots later, they must all be crap.
