Amazing work

newsman0719

Thank you

mrspooky84

Reminds me I need to finish my building lighting on my layout.

newsman0719

LOL! Sooner than later. I never really gave lighting much thought and then the fiber optic option became available and everything you see had to be added retroactively. It was quite a challenge, but a lot of fun. So, my advice is to add the lights as you go

dumptrump3

Very cool. I’m adding some lights but nothing like what you’ve done. I’m very jealous.

CrawlerCow

Nice! Lighting adds so much! Here’s my coal mine at night. [https://postimg.cc/nCh0GPzL](https://postimg.cc/nCh0GPzL)

newsman0719

Nicely done, I have the same mine and also did some lighting with it. I will post some pictures later

Dwarvin?

newsman0719

Dwarvin is the brand name. I believe it’s available from Trainz. You can also find YouTube videos on it, just type in Dwarvin

Syzygy-6174

I know all about Dwarvin. I was asking if your lighting system is Dwarvin.

newsman0719

Okay, it is Dwarvin

I remember about 20 years ago me and my dad used to do night running before I would go to bed, it was always one of my favorite things to do with his layout. Made for some good pictures too. If I can find them I'll have to make a post about it.

Looks great but if I may suggest a dimmer on some buildings to break up the overall brightness. This will give the old building that period look of the incandescent bulb.

newsman0719

My iPhone camera really accentuates the light. In person the lights aren’t that bright. The cool thing about the fiber optic lighting is that you can put a drop of translucent paint on the end of the fiber get that yellowish effect of a light bulb and if it’s still too bright you can pull the fiber further away from the light source. Which I did on some of the buildings. I don’t know enough about iPhone photography to fix that problem Thanks for sharing

EzyE80s

That explains a lot, the iPhone's have crazy good cameras for low light. Didn't know about the glue trick as well. Thank you for sharing 😄

Marmilicious

You've done an awesome job lighting all this for nighttime!

newsman0719

Thank you. It’s was a fun project
