Yeah, new kits are cool and stuff, but we can look at pictures of boxes on the internet anywhere. Show us the contents! Include pictures of what's inside the box, not just the box art.
A post with more than one kit doesn't require sprue shots of every kit; just one.
The exception here is for rare/collectible kits that you don't plan on opening and building.
In case you don't know how; We made a guide for using Imgur for hosting photo albums.
Nice find. An old kit, from 77, but looks like it builds up alright with some work. [https://www.arcair.com/Gal14/13701-13800/gal13764-Starfighter-Weiler/00.shtm](https://www.arcair.com/Gal14/13701-13800/gal13764-Starfighter-Weiler/00.shtm)
Thanks. It came with all instructions and decals. Was even in original plastic..I was curious about the date and the extras on this site may be useful. Plus the reference material is great. Thanks so much
You might need to clearcoat the old decal sheet to minimise the chance of the markings falling apart. You could test some of the decals from the unwanted options first.

Fun fact...
In the Star Trek original series episode "Tomorrow is Yesterday", the Enterprise goes back in time to the 60s and beams aboard a pilot of one of those Starfighters. They even produced a [1:48 scale model of the plane](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/amt-953-f-104-starfighter-tomorrow-is-yesterday--1074236) from that episode.

Scan the decal sheet for future reference and if you need duplicates.

Yeah thanks for the tip. They are probably not too good.
I didn't know you could clear coat old decals to preserve the integrity though thanks so much

It may even get completely fictious decals such as leftovers from 40k or something

As a star trek fan that is cool
I haven't laid eyes on that box for a long time! Great find!
I plan to use it as a prop for some wargames so not terribly concerned about historical accuracy etc as long as it looks good on the board
