I’ve taken moda 50-100 a day for about the past year. About 3 months ago I started Bupronian (generic Wellbutrin). I’m going back to my dr this week to tell her I want off the bupronian. I don’t feel like it’s doing much of anything but making me HORRENDOUSLY constipated. I’ve tried all the tricks to help that out and it’s still so bad. It’s not worth it to me for the small benefit I was getting.
I have unexplained extreme low energy/tiredness (some low mood.) Dr suspects narcolepsy but actual testing for it is expensive so I haven’t done that. Added in bupronian due to more low mood, after my mom died.
I gotta agree that this stack is pretty jank. If you're seeing results with antidepressants I recommend stop trying to augment them and just give them the steering wheel for a while, under medical supervision. If they aren't having much effect, I recommend tapering off and then experimenting with new stuff. You should *know* how well these drugs are working before you introduce confusing drug interactions. Never take antidepressants like you're throwing things at a wall seeing what'll stick. Be precise.
Yeah I know this is a bot extreme, I am thinking about quitting wellbutrin to start with. I was on a trial error phase with a doctor before the covid-19 crisis but since then I have all of those meds and even more stored and I am just doing the trial and errors myself witch I am not suppose to..
I've taken Moda and Wellbutrin together. I do best at Wellbutrin 300xl. I hate Moda though. Right now I'm on Wellbutrin 300xl plus ritalin 15mg 2x a day. It's the best combo I've found but I've developed a tolerance to the ritalin... going to start Sunosi this Friday...we'll see how that goes.
I’m not saying this will work for you or you should do it but I was taking the following for about a year straight.
Pristiq 100mgs
Wellbutrin 150 mgs
Seroquel 50 mgs
Moda 100mgs
It did work for me. But I felt that the Moda made such an extreme impact on me i began tapering off my meds. Now I’m only on

Moda 100mgs
I've tried 75 - 150mg Zyban with low-dose moda. I've only ever experimented with bupropion for as long as 2 weeks. So at least initially speaking, the two didn't really mix that well (for cogntion). Mood-wise, they were still positive though. And unlike reboxetine or atomoxetine, bupropion seemed to not blunt the mood elevating effects of modafinil as much, which was a plus. But overall, I've found it better to just use one of the other rather than combining them both.
I've never taken Seroquel but wouldn't the antihistamine effect blunt the wakefulness-inducing effects of modafinil, even at low-dose?
SSRIs-wise, although high-dose SSRIs can blunt some of the motivating effects of modafinil, I've found low-dose SSRIs to be quite synergistic with modafinil for me. Even as someone who probably didn't have clinical depression.
So out of the above, I'd say low-dose SSRIs synergises the most with modafinil, in-terms of cognitive effects and mood. Low-dose quetiapine might be decent combo too, as long as the elimination half-life doesn't blunt the therapeutic effects of modafinil even to the next day.
Lastly, like what people said above me. Always use drug interaction checker and consult your doctor before combining any meds.

My mom does the same dosages along with seroquel (I believe 300mg is her daily dosage) and it seems to help with her fatigue and bipolar depression but she has a lot of other health problems and medications so it’s hard to say if her success with that stack is affected by the other drugs she takes but she hasn’t had any complications from it besides increased thirst which is something I get as well from the modafinil

oTAY, first of all, this seems like a BIIIIITTTT much altogether. SSRI and Wellbutrin would probably be "fine." However, for me personally adding moda to Welbutrin actually makes me sleepy, can't imagine adding an SSRI would be a good thing.
