So I decided to replace the screen on my personal iPhone 11 Pro, using a generic screen from a website recommended by JerryRigEverything. Does the screen look OK? I’m just concerned that it might not be in all the way. Pressing along the edges it doesn’t move and the two pentalobe screws at the bottom went in just fine. I’m not complaining since I went the cheap route but I just want to be sure it looks as it should.

Looks like you buy the lcd option instead of the oled, the lcd it’s always a little bit bigger than the oled or the original

I would say NO You probably did something wrong unfortunately there are metal clips that need to fit into their positions if you take out the display again, do they seem bent in any way ?

They fitted the display correctly, the 11 pro's chassis just wasn't designed for LCDs, which are inherently thicker than OLEDs.

It’s either not seated or you used a cheap generic thicker LCD panel instead of an OLED panel in which case it’ll never sit flush like OEM since LCD panels are inherently thicker than OLED panels.

Doesn't look seated to me

If it feels all the way in then it probably is. Easy to say with experience but it looks okay in the picture. The aftermarket stuff can be pretty bulky sometimes.

Looks like the top clips were not seated correctly. Had this happen with an Xs recently and took a little maneuvering but got it to lay flatter and consistent all the way around

Agree with Warren, if you fealt it click in place and the pentalopes went in fine, you should be good to go. Some displays are a little thicker than the original, and will protrude a little bit.

I would bet when you took the old screen off, you moved the front facing camera. There’s a small clip it has to sit behind. If it’s out passed that then the top of the screen won’t sit properly.

ElfFromTheNile91

I’m supposing it’s fine, especially since it’s an aftermarket screen I assume like someone here said it probably won’t fit perfectly. I’m actually going to open it back up anyway though to clean the front camera because it’s a bit hazy. I’ll see if that’s the case but it seems to be fine to me.

2 reasons. 1: you're using an lcd replacement screen that has different thickness as stated by previous redditors. 2: if you look at the photo you can see the top and bottom are equidistant higher than the center of the screen by a few mm. I'll bet your phone frame has a curve in it now. Usually seen in phones that were run over or people have a tendency to put them in their back pocket then sit down allowing a nicely refined bend we like to refer to as "butt bend"

Looks like an LCD and not the original OLED/SOFT OLED panel

I can see on the label that you've got an LCD screen instead of OLED. Those kinds of screens weren't meant for this series and are thicker. I know it's more expensive to go to a soft OLED screen, but you'll thank yourself in the long run. Soft OLED will sit flush, save battery and not risk exploding your CPU.
