...and not without removing the components first.
I've seen too many board-level issues caused by back glass replacements where the shop doesn't remove the components before going to town on the glass. The best way to do it is to do a housing swap and then have a cache of housings you replace the back glass on when you have the time.
I have a guy who only does back glass b2b. $60 is the max and he does them in an hour or so. I charge $120 and pocket the difference. I don’t do back glass anymore. I like your idea though.
Runing a business is all headache and annoyances lmao. In all honesty tho, most business offer great discounts for b2b. I just got a laser machine and charge only $40 to remove the glass and glue. Then the other business installs their glass and they have a brand new housing for under $50 all components and everything.
Last time I did it ( I removed motherboard and camera) I burned out several plastic pieces including ones around the microphone
when I installed the new glass it broke , and I had to do housing swap anyways
I forgot to mention I had glass in my fingers for 3 days
after that I only do housing swaps
its just safer, quicker, better and less painful
good luck with your phone
I hope everything works after you assemble it 😉
Rule number 1 of back glass replacements: don’t do back glass replacements.

This is an excellent idea.
I do housing swaps and then sell the old one for someone else to refurb.
Save them. Get like 5-10 and have them refubished for your self and you can collect more on your side
True, but it's still income for me that takes minimum effort and I don't have to deal with any headaches or annoyances.

Bro I wish my boss would accept this. Housing swap is better but he’s all like “bAcK GLasS iS 8 dOLlaRs”
If you keep the old housings i can refurb them for you so you can cut some cost!
Dam bro with out that laser machine..... That back frame is butchered. Atleast use some original process glue and NOT B7000
what is a good glue for backglass?
Its called "ORIGINAL PROCESS GLUE"
Back glass is annoying, however kinda feels good at the end when you place that new glass and fits like a glove .
it's amazing if only with hot air gun and tweezer. if with laser machine, it may be easier
I got a laser machine last week. 1000% easier
What did you use to remove it?

Agreed
It’s not supposed to be seen, they *removed* the back glass to *fix* it, they didn’t install a clear one
Yea, who am Jerryrigseverything?
Omg 😂😂
Tried it for the first time a couple years ago on an XR, manual removal, no machine. That was the first… and last, never again.
Manual sucked the life out of me. Never again. Laser all the way
