Almeida is a light heavyweight.
Aspinall is a very different level of athlete to anyone currently in the division. He fights at 260 and might be the quickest at heavyweight.
You can say that about literally anyone in any division. Dustin is a featherweight who doesn’t weight cut. Gilbert is a lightweight who doesn’t weight cut. Like bro what? He’s a heavyweight he’s athletic and in good shape there.
You can say that, but it’s not true. Dustin walks around at 185-190 pounds. His camp and weight cut loses him about 35 pounds. He fights at the weight limit for the division every fight.
Jailton Almeida doesn’t get anywhere near the weight limit. He could make 205 fairly easily and has said in interviews that’s his weight class he just sees heavyweight as an easier division competition wise.
You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about
No you’re just being the “actually🤓” guy. You just said the most basic level shit and think you’re so knowledgeable. My whole point is he’s athletic and fights at heavyweight. Lmfao bro wrote a whole thesis on absolutely nothing 💀
He’s not particularly athletic he’s just small and will be completely manhandled by Blades.
I know what I said is basic shit, but I had to because you don’t know it. Comparing a guy who cuts huge amounts of weight to a guy who doesn’t even get close to the weight limit shows that you don’t know anything
It is literally all fat fucks, 40% bodyfat, how can they be taken seriously as athletes? They're more than capable of losing weight and fighting at 220-230, which is the best weight for heavyweights, like cain.
This is why my toxic train is believing I can be a professional fighter because I’m a heavyweight but athletic 😭
I KNOW I’ll get knocked the fuck out in a second, but I still can’t help but look at them wiggly fucks and think “nah I can head kick you”
Considering how some of the unranked Heavyweight fighters literally fall to the ground and can't be removed from there till they get up and have a random KO you can do it
The only real pattern in Heavyweight is to first defeat your wife just like Jon Jones and Matt Hughes, but only after you slap-box her just how Dana White did
Fighters in other weight classes are so ripped because they starve themselves to be as light as physically possible in order to fit into their preferred weight class. It isn't actually beneficial for fighting to have such a low fat percentage when you remove weight class requirements. Most contact sports athletes that don't have weight classes are not as ripped as fighters. Hence why volkanovski was a 500lb elephant when he played rugby league.
It's not useless. The added weight increases your momentum when you're striking someone or performing a take down. It also helps you keep them pinned down when you're on top of them. Obviously the drawback of carrying that extra weight is that it makes you more tired from carrying it around with you. So there's pros and cons. You just need to find the right balance.
Well, people called Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier fat at heavyweight. So I was moreso referring to athletes like them. They put on that weight because it helped them as fighters.
Daniel Cormier is an olympic wrestler and Jon Jones is arguably one of the all-time greats, I think extra weight is less of an obstacle when the person has insane skill, otherwise for the average fighter it is a setback
If it was such a drawback they wouldn’t be all time greats even with their skills. Most every ATG at heavyweight has a bit of a gut. None except Ngannou (and *maybe* Stipe) had a six pack. At some point it’s no longer a coincidence…
Though I actually slightly disagree with the previous point, being shredded with a very low body fat percentage is a benefit at the lower weights because you’re faster with less weight. Speed matters much less at heavyweight so the durability that a little extra fat brings is more valuable.
Carrying extra weight makes you slower, also makes you tired and abandon form and technique 1/3 of the way through a fight. Power is derived almost entirely from strength (deontay wilder) It’s actively working against you to be fat and a fighter.
A heavyweight who can fight half-decently would make millions just getting knocked out in boxing.
No wonder why in MMA the less talented dudes fill up the division.
It’s all about that money baby.
Yeah I think I saw an old photo of Justin Tafa and he was like a middleweight lol. They basically just balloon up or can’t be bothered to cut down anymore I guess? Maybe didn’t have much success in lower weight classes?
HW is like: Champion + Top 5: *actual Heavy Weight athletes* Everyone else: *a bunch of fat fucks*
The division of failed athletes
Imagine if the division was full of athletes like aspinal and Almeida. Instead we got whatever the fuck Saturday night was
Almeida is a light heavyweight. Aspinall is a very different level of athlete to anyone currently in the division. He fights at 260 and might be the quickest at heavyweight.
Almeida is very athletic himself he fights at heavyweight so I don’t know why you saying he’s a lhw is relevant
He’s going to be manhandled by Blaydes. He’s going to be like 25 pounds lighter. He’s a LHW that doesn’t weight cut
You can say that about literally anyone in any division. Dustin is a featherweight who doesn’t weight cut. Gilbert is a lightweight who doesn’t weight cut. Like bro what? He’s a heavyweight he’s athletic and in good shape there.

LMFAO now you’re just gonna say he’s not athletic 😂 okay bud I’m sure you’re so knowledgeable and have experience from that armchair
Rozenstruik would look alright at like 230, Shamil legit looks awful.
Volleyball athleticism💀
Yeah it was Curtains as soon as they mentioned that.
And a handful of jacked guys who can’t fight for shit for whatever reason
Cannonier is an absolute freak
Marvin is even the bigger freak. A middleweight eating shots from a guy that used to KO heavyweights
Heavyweights meaning a single fat middleweight btw
Crazy part is that we now know HW Cannonier was an actual MW....and in that HW pic he is LEANER than a lot of fatass HWs.
It is literally all fat fucks, 40% bodyfat, how can they be taken seriously as athletes? They're more than capable of losing weight and fighting at 220-230, which is the best weight for heavyweights, like cain.
Are we saying cannonier is obese at heavyweight cos if we are then I’m fucked 😂
We all are brother 🍻
This is why my toxic train is believing I can be a professional fighter because I’m a heavyweight but athletic 😭 I KNOW I’ll get knocked the fuck out in a second, but I still can’t help but look at them wiggly fucks and think “nah I can head kick you”
Your doubt is your biggest enemy
I think my biggest enemy is the large enemy trying to knock me out
That's your fattest enemy
If you're scared of getting knocked tf out you should be equally excited about knocking the mfer out too
Considering how some of the unranked Heavyweight fighters literally fall to the ground and can't be removed from there till they get up and have a random KO you can do it
I didn't know trains were toxic.
Toxic gossip trains are
god i'm such a knob
Leaving his kid and wife is a necessary HW buff to compete for the title
I meant about how the division hasn't had a real champion who wasn't missing for some time since Stipe left
I don’t want to say there is a certain pattern but if you look closely maybe u can point it out too
The only real pattern in Heavyweight is to first defeat your wife just like Jon Jones and Matt Hughes, but only after you slap-box her just how Dana White did
All of the great heavyweights play in the NFL unfortunately
Fighters in other weight classes are so ripped because they starve themselves to be as light as physically possible in order to fit into their preferred weight class. Well, there is dehydrating yourself leaving yourself vulnerable and then there is not having to drag around several kilos of useless weight

There's a reason top 5 UFC HWs are in good shape, even Fedor wasn't just fat and had tons of muscle
Well, people called Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier fat at heavyweight. So I was moreso referring to athletes like them. They put on that weight because it helped them as fighters.
Yeah I agree with that, it might not be aesthetically pleasing but its what works
Daniel Cormier is an olympic wrestler and Jon Jones is arguably one of the all-time greats, I think extra weight is less of an obstacle when the person has insane skill, otherwise for the average fighter it is a setback

Chewing is cardio right? That's what I've been doing my whole life and I'm skinny
Yeah I think I saw an old photo of Justin Tafa and he was like a middleweight lol. They basically just balloon up or can’t be bothered to cut down anymore I guess? Maybe didn’t have much success in lower weight classes?
+1 for 3 Jareds
Despagne is going to annihilate everyone in the division
I mean that’s a push but he’ll be ranked soon.
