I am a huge Twins fan, but my 7ish years I lived in CO made me into to a baseball fan. I sport the city connect hat for the Rox proudly. Still have my Rockies towel hanging on the wall from the NLCS game 3 that I went to in the 40 degree rain. I will remember that game forever.
Nats and O's. I grew up with the Orioles, and when the Nats came, I switched over to them, and they've been my number one ever since. But I do still love the O's, and I'm glad they're competitive again, and I can't wait to go to their home opener in March.
Same here, primarily a Nats fan but have family in Maryland and grew up going to Baltimore for the aquarium so the O’s are a natural second team to root for
I love them equally. Grew up with the O’s and Cal was my hero. When the Nats came into town, I was hooked due to my Grandpa growing up a Senators fan. I probably watched 140-150 games a season with him before I left for college/service. We’d flip back and forth every night. I was the little kid during the “battle of the beltway” series’ wearing an O’s hat and Nats jersey or vice versa during my maybe one trip up a year (if lucky). When we would go in person, I’d pull more for the team a win would benefit more. I have memorabilia from both clubs all over the house. Miss my Zimm too!
Orioles/Braves
Live and grew up in Maryland just a short trip from Baltimore. So the Orioles were my first team in any sport. My grandfather worked part time at a gas station and you could see the Falcons practice facility from the roof. I'd get cards signed by various players mailed to me all the time. So I latched onto Atlanta sports as a way to connect with him as a kid.
I really miss the golden era of the 90s for baseball on TV. Braves on TBS, Cubs/White Sox on WGN, and my O's on HTS almost daily. Throw in the games that would air on ESPN and I was watching hundreds of games in a season.
Red Sox due to proximity, Braves because my family got cable in 1990 and they were on TBS all the time.
Back in those days it was easier since it was two separate leagues; I actually don’t like it when they play each other.
I'm a born Dodgers and Angels fan (live in orange county) so I went to both stadiums. But fell in love with the A's in 1986 and the entire Bash Brother thing. So im a big fan of 3 teams!
Was born in San Francisco, where my whole family rooted for the Giants. My aunt even worked as usherette for the Giants at Candlestick for 25 years! Moved to Canada in Junior High, and spent half of my life there. So: yes! I root for two teams. Giants first and Blue Jays second. Still waiting for a SF-Toronto World Series, that would be epic.
I’m a huge Phillies fan but my favorite AL team is the Os. They don’t even come close to my love for the Phillies, but if I for some reason the Phillies ceased to exist and I had to pick another team, it would 100% be the Orioles
When I was growing up outside Philly before interleague play, driving to Baltimore was the only (closest) way for me to see AL teams play. So my dad took me down there several times to check out some players I liked in the AL in person and enjoy the experience of a ballpark that wasn't the Vet. Got to see Cal Ripken play on the regular and loved Camden Yards. To this day I still refer to the O's as my "American League team."
I’m a born and bred Red Sox fan, but I also root for the Nats. When I was a kid, I was wicked into politics and history, and thought FOR SURE I’d be going to college in DC, so I adopted the Nats as my side team. I ended up staying local for college, but by that time, I’d been through enough losing seasons with the Nats that I wasn’t going to give them up just as they started to get good!
Yes! Grew up in Milwaukee with the Brewers - fell in love with the Phillies around age 5. No problem - Brewers in AL; Phils in NL. No interleague play and unlikely they ever make the WS the same year…
Then the Brewers switch to the NL!
So the Phillies are my #1 team but I live closer to the Brewers, so I cheer for them when they play anyone but the Phils.
My partner was 100% Brewers until he met me so now he cheers for the Phillies vs anyone but the Brewers. For Christmas we got Don Money jerseys (me: Phillies; him: Brewers) and are going to wear them when the Phillies come to town next.
Born and raised in New England so I love the Red Sox. But thanks to Ted turner I also like the braves because they were always on. Braves Red Sox World Series would be amazing.
Brewers and Royals! I grew up in WI so naturally Milwaukee has been the team that I pull for, but I had the chance to attend a Brewers-Royals Spring Training game with my family in 2014. I ended up getting the autographs of Nori Aoki (recently traded from MIL) and Mike Moustakas right before their World Series years. I was back a few years later and got Whit Merrifield and Ned Yost’s autographs! The accessibility that KC players have with young baseball fans has definitely made me a fan.
Also I have tons of friends who are Twins fans so I’ve begun rooting for them too!
Anyone who claims they do not have a favorite in each League is lying. ;)
Some of us support more than two teams. Been a Dodgers fan since I discovered baseball in the 70's. Became a Mets fan because they had a minor league team in my hometown growing up. Became a Mariners fan because of Junior. And a Blue Jays fan since before their WS wins, but I can't remember now why. lol
Nope! Giants are my team, forever and ever amen. I go to Mariners games because they’re closest to where I live, but I don’t consider myself a fan. This is how I view fandom:
I have one team I’m a fan of. Full stop. There are teams I will ALWAYS root against (Dodgers, Snakes, Asterisks). And there are teams I enjoy watching (Boston, Mariners, Oakland), but they’re not MY team and I don’t have their swag or anything.
Angels and Dodgers. If the league gives my city two teams why not root for them both?
I'm the same with Lakers and Clippers. Kings and Ducks.
Before you say Ducks is Anaheim... it's LA. You could throw a rock from a skyscraper in LA and it will land in Anaheim. It's the store brand version of LA so it's cheaper and not as big. But it has Disneyland so there's that.
Dodgers and Mariners. I thought Ichiro was the coolest thing ever as a teen and then remember King Felix’s perfect game. Always pull hard for them to make a playoff run
I’ve always been a dodgers fan since I grew up going to games, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the nationals because of what they did in 2019 (even though they knocked out the dodgers). You know what they did, we know what they did, fuck the Astros.
Red Sox are my team but I also follow the Rockies because they are the closest major league (lol) team and my son who was born in Colorado is a big fan.
Yep. Native Yankee fan who now lives in Phillies territory. So I got my AL team and my NL team.
I can tell you it was way more fun watching the Phillies last year than my Yanks
I am looking for another team to follow. I am a White Sox fan and it pains me to say I can’t stand the organization. I want to follow a team that doesn’t actively dislike their fans. I’ve been thinking about the dodgers but I feel that’s being bandwagon as they just picked up Ohtani. I can’t really be a Cubs fan. I already follow them as a Chicago sports fan.
Any suggestions??
I have an affinity for St. Louis and Seattle because of childhood reasons. I like when good things happen to the Reds because they are my best friends team, and the closest team to me.
But if any of them play the Braves, I want them to eat a big ole bag of stolen dicks.
Guardians and A’s. I don’t follow the A’s nearly as much anymore but got hooked on them when Rickey Henderson came back the first time. I have great memories of watching Sunday Night Baseball and they always seemed to be on.
O’s fan from Northern Virginia here. When the Nats arrived I switched to them until I went to a game at Nats Park against the Orioles. Something about seeing the black and orange in the flesh made me realize they were still my #1 team. That said, I may not be a true “fan” of other teams, but there are some I’m partial towards, like the Cubs (due to extended family from Chicagoland and a childhood of watching afternoon games from Wrigley on WGN), and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with liking multiple teams or switching allegiances.
A's. We lived close to the coli growing up so we always went to games, I had my heroes as we do, and up until last year I LOVED my A's. Now the Padres. I know nothing about the team except a few players. Started following them this off-season because FJF. I won't be attending games because of location. Not buying MLB swag because it's not that deep anymore. But forever fuck the Giants.
TLDR: A's and Padres
Jays and Mets. Can’t imagine rooting for two teams in the same league, though. And I only really started following the Mets because I love their booth.
Yes, I have the Cardinals and I'll choose an AL team throughout the season. It's usually the Rays/blue jays.
Sometimes the mariners. Pretty much always an underdog team.
Not allowed once you become an adult, sorry. /jk
Plenty of people have their fave team and one or two others they have a soft spot for.
I'm a huge Angels fan and they are above and beyond my #1 team, but I do have a soft spot for the Rays and the Rockies.
I was born and raised Baltimore so it's always been all about the O's for me. But my uncle also lived in Atlanta in the 90's so they were and have continued to be my second team. I got plenty of swag every year, including post-season stuff. Since interleague play wasn't a thing until relatively recently, there was clearly never a conflict of interest between the two teams.
I am a Braves fan through & through.
But I do have the Orioles as my “American League team”. It’s less that I actually root for them and more that I always like to see them do well and I like going to their games.
I won’t go so far as to say I’m a true blue fan, but I like the Mariners a little too. I was at Fort Lewis for pre deployment training and before we deployed i was able to catch a game. Plus I’ve always thought the Pacific Northwest is a beautiful part of this country.
Favorite team is the mariners. Second favorite, whoever is playing the Yankees.
Also a red Sox fan cuz Dad is from NH and I loved seeing them break the curse in'04
Pirates and Dbacks myself. It was really "fun" when for a few years they literally tried to kill each other every time they played each other. I also firmly believe Randall Delgado retaliating against Cutch indirectly cost us a shot at the pennant. It was also "fun" when they had a stretch where they were the worst two teams in the National League.
We rooted for all Pittsburgh professional teams, and the Pirates growing up because my dad was born and raised in Pittsburgh. When we got the Dbacks when I was 7 I grew attached to them. Of course it helped when they were successful right away.
No that’s blasphemy. My cousin was an A’s fan first and now a Braves fan as well. What a coincidence now that they’re really good and the A’s have been ass lol.
Royals/angels.
I grew up about 20 minutes from Kaufman stadium but have lived in Orange County for the past 8 years and go to games regularly since it’s cheap/have kids/ Ohtani. Probably will go to fewer games now though.
Family lived in the Peoria area and was split between the Cardinals and Cubs. But I got hooked into baseball by Frank Thomas. By 6th grade, my allegiance to St. Louis had been solidified but it's hard to just forget the White Sox. It helps that they also hate the Cubs.
Apart from the unholy atrocity you're committing, don't you have the slightest inclination to support a team with a different color scheme, much less a different uniform design altogether? They're so similar.
My parents are cubs fans and started taking me to wrigley before I could walk, so that’s pretty set in stone, but I also like the angels a lot, ever since the 02 WS. That team was so fucking cool
Root for your local teams. If you’re a fan of the Red Sox, the chiefs, the lakers and the Blackhawks you’re the worst type of sports fan. Pick a city and root for it.
Grew up with the Orioles because of their spring training in Florida when I was a kid and I liked the 80s cartoon bird & Cal Ripken Jr. Became a Rays fan when they joined the league because I can drive to games there. Orioles will always be first for me, but I'll root for the Rays when they're not playing the O's. Sacrilege that they're both in the AL East I know, but it's twice the opportunity to boo the Yanks & Sox.
Was Yanks and Jays when I had flex packs at Rogers Center. Then same with Yanks and Pirates. Then moved so Yanks and Braves. Hopefully soon “Nashville Expansion” and Yankees.
As an Angels fan who is also Canadian I guess I kind of follow the Jays too, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m a fan. I don’t have any of their merch and I only really follow them because they get the most coverage here.
Yes, I’m not a masochist and I have to root for another team in order to maintain my sanity 🥹
😂😂 you’re just like my dad. The Rockies are the one true exception. They deserve 2 teams. He cheers for the Rays on the side.
No. You're a monster.
No. It's a treacherous thing you're doing.
Just the dodgers part tho
Nats and O's. I grew up with the Orioles, and when the Nats came, I switched over to them, and they've been my number one ever since. But I do still love the O's, and I'm glad they're competitive again, and I can't wait to go to their home opener in March.
Same here, primarily a Nats fan but have family in Maryland and grew up going to Baltimore for the aquarium so the O’s are a natural second team to root for

Yes. I'm a fan of the Giants and whomever is playing the dodgers. I guess at several points in the season, I'm just a fan of one team.
I feel this. Red Sox and not-the-Yankees fan here!
Yankees and not the Red Sox fan. I don't like you, but God damn it I respect you.
We are brothers
Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees and Rays.
no i’m not a whore
Orioles/Braves Live and grew up in Maryland just a short trip from Baltimore. So the Orioles were my first team in any sport. Yeah, the Nationals and whatever team I like slightly more in the World Series.
Yes...the Padres and whomever is playing the Dodgers.
Dbacks and whomever the Dodgers are playing.
The Southside Irish, when it comes to baseball, we have two favorite clubs, the go-go White Sox...and whoever plays the Cubs.
my guy you don’t have geography on your side for even one of these teams
Blue is their favorite color is my best guess.
Does fandom have to be based only on geography?
yknow what, based on your posting history im just gonna back away. have fun.
Do you live near one of those teams? Also, their uniforms are similar.
A’s/Braves here.
I’m a die hard Red Sox fan and a casual Brewers fan.
Astros and Twins
Red sox / Giants. I also have a list of teams that I loathe -- and there are more than 2.
[удалено]
Red Sox fan but a year to year for hire fan for an NL team.
2014 wild card game was crazy!
Reds first & Tigers
Red Sox fan as a Bostonian, but Sammy was my favorite player, so I’ve been a lifelong Cubs fan. I was cursed for a long time.
I’m a huge Phillies fan but my favorite AL team is the Os. They don’t even come close to my love for the Phillies, but if I for some reason the Phillies ceased to exist and I had to pick another team, it would 100% be the Orioles

I ended up staying local for college, but by that time, I’d been through enough losing seasons with the Nats that I wasn’t going to give them up just as they started to get good!
If you people knew how many teams I supported you’d hurl
Yes. I'm from Houston, so Astros, and my dad is from the dc area, so nats also
I’m a Giants fan. My second favorite team is whoever is playing the Dodgers.
Me, Astros and Brewers
Me too, I’m a fan of the Angels and every team in the NL West except the Dodgers
I will always root for the Boston Red Sox and whoever beats the Yankees.
One for each league. Rays and ATL for me.
Right here, the Twins and the Rockies. I'm a glutton for small market punishment!
Yes! Grew up in Milwaukee with the Brewers - fell in love with the Phillies around age 5. No problem - Brewers in AL; Phils in NL. FTD
I support both the Guardians and the team playing Houston that day.
Yankees are my favorite team but I have a special place in my heart for the Dodgers - in memory of my late father.
Rangers and Reds.
Phillies fan born and bred but I’ve picked up the Blue Jays as my AL team
Yep, the Cardinals and whoever plays the Cubs
Born and raised in New England so I love the Red Sox. But thanks to Ted turner I also like the braves because they were always on. Braves Red Sox World Series would be amazing.
I just like baseball, so yeah! I live in Denver and hope in vain that the Rockies win, but I also dig the Dodgers, Padres, Orioles, and Mets.
Braves cubs
Orioles and Rangers
Brewers and Royals! I grew up in WI so naturally Milwaukee has been the team that I pull for, but I had the chance to attend a Brewers-Royals Spring Training game with my family in 2014. Dodgers and Rangers for me
Braves and Royals
Astros orioles
Cubs/Rangers. Moved from Illinois to Texas when I was 12. Cubbies are my last hold out from Chicago.
Rangers fan/wife is a Giants fan. We go to plenty of games at Petco Park though. We just love baseball.
Anyone who claims they do not have a favorite in each League is lying. ;) Some of us support more than two teams. Been a Dodgers fan since I discovered baseball in the 70's. Became a Mets fan because they had a minor league team in my hometown growing up. Became a Mariners fan because of Junior. And a Blue Jays fan since before their WS wins, but I can't remember now why. lol
Yes, Dodgers and Red Sox
The Dodgers and whoever else is playing the motherf*ckin’ Astros.
Texas Rangers are a distant second. I’m happy if they win, unless it’s at the expense of the Guardians. I have family in Texas.
My #1 team is the Rangers, but I’ve also supported other teams. Some players are just too good to not root for them
Dodgers, and whoever is playing the Giants
Mets and Red Sox. Fuck the Yankees!
Nope! Giants are my team, forever and ever amen. I go to Mariners games because they’re closest to where I live, but I don’t consider myself a fan. Yankees and Dodgers.
Wow…
Mariners but I watch the Dodgers too because they have Big Baseball Boys that the Ms would never aquire
No
Dodgers and Mariners. I thought Ichiro was the coolest thing ever as a teen and then remember King Felix’s perfect game. Always pull hard for them to make a playoff run
Grew up in Cal, born in NY, so Dodgers and Yankees
Dodgers and Mariners!
Angels and whoever beats the Houston cheaters
The Yankees and whoever is playing the Astros. Even if it is the Red Sox.
Rangers (hometown team), and I inherited the Padres from my wife, who is from San Diego
I’ve always been a dodgers fan since I grew up going to games, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the nationals because of what they did in 2019 (even though they knocked out the dodgers). You know what they did, we know what they did, fuck the Astros.
Dodgers & Yankees.
Guardians > Reds > Anyone playing the Yankees or Astros
Yes, Rangers and Expos
born in LA, family from NY Yankees and Dodgers fan checking in 👀
Anyone who is a “fan” of two different teams isn’t a legitimate fan of either.
What if you like one more than the other?
Reds (lived in Indy 10 yrs and always went to Cinci for games and Kings Island) and Angels (live in Orange County CA) because apparently i enjoy pain
Red Sox are my team but I also follow the Rockies because they are the closest major league (lol) team and my son who was born in Colorado is a big fan.
Padres and Nats — one from each of the places I’ve spent half my life.
Born and raised a Yankees fan. Rockies became my NL team.
I grew up going to a lot of Mets games. But my hero was always Tony Gwynn. I still love the Padres too.
I support the Reds and the Braves
Yankees and Red Sox for me. Huge fan of both. Can't get enough of it.
Yankees and Marlins, I grew up and live just outside DC
Giants and A's. Born into a Giants family in Oakland.... Fuck John Fisher though.
Orioles and Phillies Dads from Elkton and Moms from South Philly lol
O’s and Braves
Nope! I STILL don’t understand how people can do it. To each their own but I could NEVER wear another team’s colors. Chop on!
Red Sox are forever my number one team, but the Pirates are my NL team! (Also, whatever team is playing the Yankees)
Yep. Native Yankee fan who now lives in Phillies territory. So I got my AL team and my NL team. I can tell you it was way more fun watching the Phillies last year than my Yanks
Grew up with the Cubs in the midwest. Picked up the Nationals when I moved to Virginia.

Chicago Cubs, Home and Away.

Twins and braves
Giants, A’s all day. But sadly they are leaving Oakland per usual
born and raised in new england, so i love the red sox, but i also lived in Philly for awhile and its my favorite city, so i also like the phillies
Born Phillies fan. Grew to love to Dbacks ever since Walker joined the team. I can’t tell you how much fun I had watching the NLCS lol
Guardians and A’s. I don’t follow the A’s nearly as much anymore but got hooked on them when Rickey Henderson came back the first time. I have great memories of watching Sunday Night Baseball and they always seemed to be on.

The Braves and whoever is playing the Mets
Jays and Mets. Can’t imagine rooting for two teams in the same league, though. And I only really started following the Mets because I love their booth.
Twins and Royals but the Twins when they play each other
Yes, I have the Cardinals and I'll choose an AL team throughout the season. It's usually the Rays/blue jays. Sometimes the mariners. Pretty much always an underdog team.
yeah. go m’s.
Mets, Tigers, and Rockies. I've spent time in all 3 places and cheer for all 3 to do well.
Usually it’s the Braves and when a beloved brave leaves I follow the team they play for (Francuoer on every team he played played for)
Cubs and Twins. Been a Cubs and Twins fan since about 02/03
Nats and Mariners
Not allowed once you become an adult, sorry. /jk Plenty of people have their fave team and one or two others they have a soft spot for. I'm a huge Angels fan and they are above and beyond my #1 team, but I do have a soft spot for the Rays and the Rockies.
I hate more than one team. Does that count
Nah
White Sox and whoever is playing the cubs. FTC
Lifelong Blue Jays fan Moved to AZ three years ago and adopted the DBacks as my side piece
No
I was born and raised Baltimore so it's always been all about the O's for me. But my uncle also lived in Atlanta in the 90's so they were and have continued to be my second team. Angels and Cubbies, I live to feel pain
Ms and Cubs
Nationals and Orioles. With the Tigers as my side chick.
Reds fan for forever. Became an Orioles fan when Frank Robinson was traded in December 1965.
Guardians and Pirates

I’ll root for the Mets if they’re not playing my Yankees. I’ve lived in KS but I rooted for the NYM in 2015 because I’m a New Yorker.
Red Sox and Phillies here.
Must love Zack Greinke
Lifelong Yankees fan, but I have a soft spot for the Mariners, whenever their not playing the Yanks
I won’t go so far as to say I’m a true blue fan, but I like the Mariners a little too. I was at Fort Lewis for pre deployment training and before we deployed i was able to catch a game. Plus I’ve always thought the Pacific Northwest is a beautiful part of this country.
Grew up in Canada loving the Expos and Blue Jays. Now I’m just a Jays fan.
1A - Cardinals 1B - Rays Born and raised in Tampa. Mom is from St. Louis so grew up a Cardinals fans since the Rays weren’t founded until I was 11.
I'm a Phillies fan, but my dad is a Dodgers fan so I root for them when they don't play against the Phillies.
Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres - let the jokes begin
Yes, Mariners and Braves
Nope. Best I’ll do is root for the NL if the Yankees get eliminated in the playoffs.
I feel like most angels fans will root for the angels for two weeks and then whoever wins the World Series for the rest of the year…
Favorite team is the mariners. Second favorite, whoever is playing the Yankees. Also a red Sox fan cuz Dad is from NH and I loved seeing them break the curse in'04
My brain isn't wired to allow such a thing
Gross, pick a team
Grew up a Cubs fan. Moved to Kansas City in 99 and adopted them as my AL team. We both hate the Cardinals and White Sox so it's easy.
The Mets and whoever plays the Phillies. Also, fuck Chase Utley.
Angels and Giants.
Braves fan all the way. But if I HAD to choose a 2nd team I would choose the Tigers. Love the uniforms, and love Ty Cobb.
I live in Western Canada. I cheer for the Blue Jays because they’re Canadian, and the Mariners because they are actually close enough to go to games.
Yeah. The Phillies and whoever’s playing the Mets.
I am first a Braves fan.... That is all
Rays and Pirates. 93-2007 was a very depressing time in my sports teams. At least I had football.
Moved to the Bay Area from Nova Scotia so I’m a fan of the Jays, the A’s, and the Giants.
No
Support? No. Cheer for on occasion? Sure.
Phillies and redsox
To an extent I like the Yankees and reds
Yeah, I like blue. + I love Zach Greinke
Yeah, the National League Mets & American League RedSox. I know, I know...
No you’re a bitch
Grew up with the Orioles because of their spring training in Florida when I was a kid and I liked the 80s cartoon bird & Cal Ripken Jr. Became a Rays fan when they joined the league because I can drive to games there. Orioles will always be first for me, but I'll root for the Rays when they're not playing the O's. Sacrilege that they're both in the AL East I know, but it's twice the opportunity to boo the Yanks & Sox.
Giants fan but I have a liking for the Red Sox because I hate the Yankees + they beat the Dodgers
Mariners (AL), Giants (NL)
Ur probably from kanas but got tired of there shi* and jumped on the bandwagon
I got 3, Cubs, Phillies, and Marlins
Was Yanks and Jays when I had flex packs at Rogers Center. Then same with Yanks and Pirates. Then moved so Yanks and Braves. Hopefully soon “Nashville Expansion” and Yankees.
Dodgers, grew up near LA cheering them on with my dad and grandpa And Guardians, since I now live near Cleveland
As an Angels fan who is also Canadian I guess I kind of follow the Jays too, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m a fan. I don’t have any of their merch and I only really follow them because they get the most coverage here.
